As Ulric disappeared from sight, the smile on Greyson’s face slowly faded, his head turning slightly.

With a slight hand gesture, a figure slipped from behind him, his aura at peak E rank as he followed behind Ulric, instantly catching Greyson’s order.

With a breakthrough of such magnitude, he couldn’t risk any sense of disruption. It would also put him at ease, knowing no danger would co to him while he was away from the Greyson residence.

With that in mind, he sank into his thoughts, looking into the distance as ti slowly passed, his figure almost lding with the surroundings.

Until finally, snapping out of his thoughts, he muttered faintly,

"You’ve finally co."

A mont of silence passed as his voice echoed, before from the cover of the surroundings, multiple people erged.

Slowly walking forward towards him, their auras all signifying their E-rank power, numbering at ten.

At the center of it all, a crimson figure stood out, the crest of the Red Streaks visible across his chest as he held a gleaming dark sword in one hand, a twisted smile covering his face.

"Even after all this years, it seems ti has yet to dull your senses," Orros muttered, a glint of surprise flashing across his face.

Their camouflage art of lding with the surroundings would have eluded even him. But the dark-robed figure, even with his back towards them, could easily sense them.

Impressive. Really impressive. No matter what point you looked at it from.

"You are not welco here," Greyson muttered, his back still towards them.

He didn’t need to turn to be able to see them. He could sense their presence, which couldn’t help but elicit a faint sigh from him.

He knew this ti would co, just not this soon. Soone must have leaked the news of his current state. He didn’t have to think for long before a plausible figure ca into mind, causing his face to tighten as he ground his teeth with fury.

He should have done away with her the mont he first suspected she was the one who had ordered the assassination on him. But now was not the ti for looking back as Orros’ voice echoed into his ears.

"You have to forgive . I heard tales of your strength as a mighty warrior. And now that you have broken through to C rank, I’m only more curious about the gap from D rank. Please enlighten ."

What nonsense. Greyson groaned ntally, the words almost made him spit a mouthful of blood. He could already see past their intentions, barely disguised in the form of a friendly spar.

They were like hounds who had just slt blood. Once they sensed weakness from him, they wouldn’t hesitate to go for the kill. Barely suppressing his rage, he spoke once more,

"Leave... while you still have the chance."

Another mont of silence passed before Orros sighed. The risk was great, but if he was right, the reward would outweigh it all.

With this thought in mind, he raised his sword into the air, charging forward as he yelled,

"I insist!"

"So be it!" Greyson growled, for the first ti turning to face the group.

As he watched Orros’ charging figure, his body dropped into a combat stance, a fierce gleam in his eyes.

Even as weak as he was from the poison that raged within his body, he was still a C-rank being. A realm higher than the charging figure and two realms above the rest behind him.

And he was just about to ground that truth into them, if they had forgotten.

Orros’ figure blurred for a mont. When he reappeared, he was in front of Greyson, his blade clenched tightly in his grasp as he slashed horizontally with all his might.

Greyson seed to have anticipated the move as a strange rock compound coated his arms while he moved to counter while blocking, all in one smooth motion.

When the two figures clashed, a sonic boom echoed as dust erupted everywhere to cover the sight.

The figures behind Orros stared blankly, holding their breaths in their throats. They didn’t have to wait for the dust to settle as they watched Orros’ figure fly out, sent back from the collision like a rag doll.

When he regained his footing a few hundred ters back, a few mouthfuls of blood erupted from his mouth in a violent stream.

Looking down, violent pain raged across his body, and from the multiple cracking sounds that echoed, it didn’t take a genius to realize most of his ribs were broken.

If it wasn’t for the armor he was wearing, he doubted he would have survived that punch. But it was to be expected. What set apart D-rank beings and C-rank powerhouses was their ability to manipulate mana and infuse it into each of their attacks.

Just this alone made their attacks deadly, their strength surpassing D-rank beings and those below them at least a hundred tis over, with the only outco of a being below C rank challenging them being courting death, which had already been proven in that exchange.

But even with all these thoughts, no look of distress seed to have been plastered across his face.

Instead, a slow smile was forming, revealing his bloody teeth. He could see it! In that mont of exchange, Greyson had taken a step back, and now that he looked closer, he could see a trail of blood at the edges of his lips, which confird his thoughts.

Greyson was nursing a grave injury, one he fully intended to take advantage of.

Flicking his wrist, the ring on his finger shimred faintly before a potion bottle appeared in his grasp.

Unsealing it, a strong herbal scent wafted out. Chugging it in one motion, a green sheen enveloped his body. After it receded, his injuries were partly healed, allowing him to barely stand.

Not wasting a mont, he yelled out,

"Attack!"

The E-rank beings swallowed audibly at the order. They had seen what had happened to him while he was a D-rank being. They were E-ranked, wouldn’t they be killed like flies being swatted?

Still, even with all these doubts, they didn’t dare hesitate. The consequences of not following orders would be more disastrous, condemning them to certain death as they charged forward.

The commotion from their initial clash drew the elders of the Greyson residence, with Rysten at the front.

Seeing what was unfolding as figures surrounded their lord, he couldn’t help but sputter in rage,

"What is the aning of this!?"

Inhaling sharply, Orros sputtered with a crooked smile,

"A siege. Bow under the banner of the Red Streaks family or face total destruction."

Seeing the battle glint flashing in Greyson’s eyes, Rysten couldn’t help it anymore as he yelled,

"Impudent! Attack!"

Watching them charge forward, the smile on Orros’ face widened as he raised his gleaming dark sword into the air.

Barely a few seconds later, from the distance, the outline of a female figure ca into sight.

Walking towards the Greyson residence, causing one elder to snort audibly. Did he intend to siege the Greyson residence with a single figure?

Before the thought could fully form, more figures appeared behind her.

Ten... twenty... fifty... until an army of hundreds ca into view, the ground rocking slowly with every step they took.

Spotting their shocked faces, Orros pressed it in further as his voice echoed once more,

"You’re well outnumbered. Today... House Greyson shall be wiped out from history."
