Barely a mont after the words slipped from his mouth, his figure suddenly vanished into thin air.

Causing the charging three figures to suddenly halt, as the leading figure who had issued the command blinked rapidly, his brows furrowing in question.

Where did he go? One mont he was right before their eyes. The next mont he just wasn’t.

He didn’t have to wonder for long as the answer to his question ca soon. The air behind him shimred slightly as he felt a finger tap his shoulder.

The dark robe’s familiar voice drifting into his ears.

"Looking for ?"

Just as his head turned, a fist slamd into his head, blowing it apart into fragnts of blood and bone as blood gushed everywhere in a gory display before his lifeless body fell to the ground.

Causing the other two figures to gulp audibly, their eyes widening in shock before slowly taking a step back. Fear freezing their veins as they looked at the headless corpse.

The strongest of the three, yet his life had been easily reaped in a single move as if it didn’t even an anything. Looking back, everything suddenly seed to click into place.

The presence the youth exuded rivaled that of Patriarch Orros. The thought had just been too absurd, so they had dismissed it earlier. But this... this... it couldn’t get any more real than this.

Their mouths opened, just about to speak. But Ulric didn’t give them the chance, rushing forward. His figure cut through the air with impeccable speed as his outstretched hands reached to clutch the two figures by their throats as he slowly lifted them up.

Rapidly draining their life force. Their bodies jerked violently at first, but as ti slowly slipped by, a hopeless look covered their faces as they realized the futility of it all.

Watching as the light slowly dimd from their eyes, Ulric breathed, "You should have taken the offer while you still had the chance."

As the words sank in, his palms flicked gently as he snapped their necks, instantly ending their misery before dropping their lifeless bodies to the ground.

Just as he did, a deathly silence enveloped the crowd at the side. Their eyes blinking rapidly, struggling to process what they had just seen.

One mont three of their best E-rank beings had charged forward, the next they all lay dead before the dark-robed youth’s feet.

The sight invoking terror in all who saw it.

Before they suddenly couldn’t take it anymore as yells and screams tore through the air. Chaos erupting as they ran around mindlessly.

The army behind Ulric looked astounded for a mont. They had seen glimpses of his strength, but still, seeing him easily kill three E-rank beings was no less surreal.

Following the lord’s command, they charged forward. Battle spirit flaring across their eyes. They had seen the young lord’s power, having dealt with the strongest.

They wouldn’t disappoint him now as they engaged in slaughter, all trying to gain his attention and recognition.

Behind Ulric, Lyra stared blankly, montarily frozen in place as she took in everything.

The battle chants interlaced with screams of terror filling the air. The growing scent of blood as another carnage was unleashed.

The sight of endless slaughter filling her face with multiple emotions, before finally her gaze fell on Ulric’s fra.

Far calr than she would have anticipated as he stood, his hands clasped behind his back overlooking the entire battle.

Yet the maniacal smile stretching across his lips and thick bloodlust reeking out of him betrayed him.

The only other ti she had seen him like this was back in the Wolf Den dungeon, when facing beasts... not humans. It was almost as if she was seeing an entirely new version of him, causing chills to race down her spine.

But just before she could delve deeper into her thoughts, she bit her tongue, the pain anchoring her back to reality as his words replayed at the back of her mind repeatedly.

It was either the Red Streaks or them!

Before the thought could fully form, her face was already clouded with rage.

Rembering all the damage they had unleashed, the pain they had caused. The glint of ruthlessness in their eyes when they had impaled the shard of ice in Amber.

She didn’t want to ever go through that pain again. To be so helpless as she watched those she cared about taken from her without anything she could do.

And if this was the price to pay, it seed fair. An icy expression covering her face, she clenched the staff in her hand tightly as spears of ice were conjured before slowly hovering behind her.

Rembering how Ulric easily controlled blades of darkness, her control was nowhere near, but with enough practice it wouldn’t be long before she beca a nace in battle as well.

With all these thoughts clashing at the back of her mind, her icy blue eyes glinted with rage as the ice spears she conjured streaked through the air.

Slicing through throats and reaping lives. Before long, she soon joined in the battle, a long ice spear in her arm, slashing it across any foe she encountered. Repeating it over and over, sinking into it before she almost lost herself in the bloodlust.

But as she continued, a look of realization suddenly slamd into her as she seemingly understood why Ulric was so drawn to battle and slaughter.

With every kill, she could feel the sense of control she had over others, the sensation was intoxicating, even more so when she reaped them as icy chuckles slipped from her throat.

As she slowly turned into a far different person than she was a few hours ago.

At the side, Ulric monitored the battle with his spiritual field, occasionally sending out shadow pulses now and then, allowing him clear detail over everything that was happening.

Every ti one of the warriors under him almost fell in battle, he would swoop in, killing the opposition before thrusting them right back into battle.

His forces were already thinned as they were. He couldn’t risk losing more. And this way, it acted in so twisted way as a sense of training.

Allowing the army before him to fight freely as they noticed his continual assistance in the battle, causing the large number the Red Streaks had placed their hopes on to work against them.

While also draining all the hope they had, noticing not a single Greyson had fallen since the beginning of the battle.

And as their gazes shifted to the black-robed youth, they lost their will to fight and live entirely as realization slowly slamd into them.

To him, this wasn’t a battle, but a twisted ga for forging the Greyson army in war. Making them wonder if he really would have spared them even if they had bowed under their banner. But it didn’t matter now as they would never live long enough to find out.

As Ulric monitored the battle, he couldn’t help but notice a certain figure from the corner of his vision, causing his eyes to widen slightly in surprise.

Lyra had jumped into the battle, carving a pile of corpses wherever she passed. Her once blue robe was now drenched in crimson, the ice spear and staff in her arms as well.

A look of rage and determination flickering across her eyes as bloodlust slowly oozed from her aura. She seed to have embraced all of this far better than he had anticipated, causing him to worry a little before he disregarded it entirely, peering the emotions boiling deep inside her in one look.

The Red Streaks seed to have inflicted far more pain into her than he had anticipated. Now she was letting out all her pent-up frustrations on them.

As the battle continued, what could only be called a one-sided massacre ca to an end as the screams died down.

The scent of blood had grown far more intense as he walked through to inspect the full length of the carnage.

Wherever he passed, the elders and warriors looked at him with reverence burning through their eyes as they waited for his next commands.

If it weren’t for him, so of them would have already been dead. And more than that, they had finally acquired revenge for their fallen clansn.

Coming to a halt, he stopped beside Lyra, watching as she stepped out of her murderous craze, her eyes regaining focus before the full length of what she had done slowly dawned on her.

When her gaze fell to his figure, and her blood-soaked robe, her mouth parted, opening and closing repeatedly as she struggled to form words, before her face dropped to the ground, her chest thumping rapidly.

Seeing all this, a faint smile spread across his face. She seed just the sa as before. Only this ti, he could see determination and ruthlessness engraved deep inside her.

Causing him to smile as he raised his hand to pat her head. It seed she had learnt a thing or two.

Before he could continue, the sound of shuffling steps echoed from behind before Rysten’s voice followed.

"Lord, what should we do about them?" he asked, gesturing to the side to all the younglings they had spared.

Shifting his gaze, Ulric slowly walked forward as the elders followed behind him.

Staring at them, they numbered around fifty or so, panic-stricken looks plastered all across their faces.

Approaching a little boy with tears racing across his face, he crouched down. His crimson eyes locking with the boy’s dark eyes, a faint smile stretching across his face.

"Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you," he said, his hand moving to ruffle his hair. Watching him noticeably calm down, Ulric continued.

"You should be happy now... you’re part of sothing much bigger."

Watching a look of confusion spread across his face, he continued, "I’ll protect you now."

He muttered, causing the boy’s head to slowly look up.

"Really?"

Smiling, Ulric rose to his feet, gesturing for them to be taken away. They would be assimilated into the Greyson banner. As for the mories... they would all be washed away as ti passed by.

But that didn’t matter now. Staring at everything around him, the smile on his face spread.

It was ti to plunder!
