Zenin Maki was a girl full of initiative. After the swelling on her face subsided the next day, she dragged Kael to fulfill their promise and watch a horror movie.

She relished three buckets of popcorn, plus four sausages and two cups of milk tea.

"We physical technique practitioners have good appetites and aren't afraid of getting fat."

By the ti they left the cinema, it was already dark outside.

"Maki, did you bring your ID card?"

Kael asked tentatively.

"Don't even think about it. I only promised to watch a movie with you."

Zenin Maki rolled her eyes at Kael and hailed a taxi, preparing to head back to the school dormitory.

"Can't I even think about it?"

Kael muttered and followed her into the back seat of the taxi.

"Stop crowding ! Didn't you get enough of an advantage in the cinema?"

Zenin Maki's voice held a hint of a coquettish huff, though she didn't truly feel much resistance in her heart.

Kael indeed fit her aesthetic perfectly, being the ideal type among ideal types. But after all, they had only known each other for a few days; how could things progress so quickly?

"It was just holding hands. Can that even be called taking an advantage?"

Kael's voice rose a bit as he tried to defend his innocence.

"Then who rubbed my stockings until they started pilling?!"

Zenin Maki looked at the lying Kael, finding it hard to connect the man before her with the Heavenly Restriction who had suppressed the entire scene that day.

"It was pitch black; I just accidentally brushed against them a couple of tis. It wasn't on purpose. Don't be so petty, girl. I'll buy you a few pairs of high-end ones tomorrow, guaranteed not to pill."

Hearing the playfulness in the back, the taxi driver couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

It's good to be young.

"Get lost!"

Zenin Maki pushed Kael away. Rather than resistance, it was more like flirting.

It was just that she didn't seem to realize it herself. After all, she was a novice in romance and couldn't withstand Kael's tactics.

Suddenly, however, Kael stopped his movents. Although Zenin Maki didn't know why, she sensed sothing unusual from his behavior and asked.

"What's wrong?"

"There are so blind fools."

Kael was a bit annoyed and said to the driver,

"Driver, pull over up ahead."

"Huh? Oh."

The taxi driver dropped Kael and Zenin Maki off on the highway. From the aningful look he gave them before leaving, it was clear he had misunderstood.

He probably thought the two youngsters couldn't wait and wanted to do sothing wild outside.

When the veteran driver was young, he played just as wildly, so he could understand.

"Is it a Cursed Spirit?"

Zenin Maki didn't have the ability to sense Cursed Energy; she had to rely on her specially made glasses to observe Cursed Spirits, but she still had a vague premonition.

"Yes, and more than one."

Kael could roughly guess who was behind it. He turned his head to look at the side of the highway. The originally bright streetlights suddenly went out, and the road fell into darkness.

Vaguely, twisted and hideous figures could be seen churning in the darkness. Each was massive, comparable to a bus, crushing toward where Kael and Maki were standing.

However, after a brief silence, the streetlights flickered back on. The dense aura of Cursed Energy suddenly dissipated, and everything returned to its original calm and leisurely state, as if the attack had never happened.

Zenin Maki looked at Kael's back with lingering fear. At the mont the Cursed Spirits launched their attack, Kael had stepped in front of her.

A sense of security she had never felt before welled up. Her eyes involuntarily grew a bit moist, but Zenin Maki quickly brought it under control. She hadn't shown her soft side to anyone for a long ti.

"Three Grade 1 Cursed Spirits? They really are looking down on !"

Kael felt insulted and cursed under his breath.

The battle ended in an instant.

At the mont the three Cursed Spirits perished, they didn't even realize when they had been attacked. He had simply swung a fist, and the wind from the punch tore their spiritual bodies to shreds.

"??"

Where did you get the feeling of being looked down upon?

Those were three Grade 1 Cursed Spirits, and it was a preditated sudden attack.

For any other Grade 1 sorcerer, even if they could successfully counter-kill, they couldn't have done it so easily and calmly.

Zenin Maki was speechless for a mont. She felt that while Kael was indeed handso, he could also be quite annoying at tis. It was just that she couldn't beat him.

"Are they Shikigami being controlled?"

Zenin Maki cald her emotions and made a judgnt.

Normally, wild Cursed Spirits stay where they were born and don't stray too far. They have a strong sense of territory, and Cursed Spirits of the sa grade rarely act together.

Thus, it wasn't hard to judge that the ones who had just attacked them were Shikigami captured and controlled by a Jujutsu Sorcerer.

But there were very few Jujutsu Sorcerers in the Jujutsu World with the ability to control three Grade 1 Cursed Spirits at once.

And most of those people were now among the higher-ups.

"Is it another dirty power struggle?"

Zenin Maki thought with disgust.

Coming from the Zenin family, she had seen too many foul acts among Jujutsu Sorcerers. So people were even more depraved and twisted than Cursed Spirits.

After all, a Jujutsu Sorcerer's power cos from curses, which themselves stem from the evaporation of extrely twisted emotions.

The simplest and most direct way to extract Cursed Energy is to utilize extrely twisted negative emotions. To this end, so Jujutsu Sorcerers could do all sorts of horrific things.

However, this situation has improved a lot in modern tis, or at least it's no longer out in the open.

After all, compared to human civilization as a whole, modern Jujutsu Sorcerers are a vulnerable group.

If a 240mm physical caliber can't eliminate a Cursed Spirit, can it really not eliminate a Jujutsu Sorcerer?

It's not like everyone is Gojo Satoru.

"Exactly. The guy in the shadows is hiding very carefully. He only leaked a bit of aura just now, and now he's long gone."

Kael glanced into the distance. Controlling Shikigami from five miles away—could they be any more careful?

If they had been even a little closer, allowing him to lock onto their aura, he would have had roasted brain flowers to eat tonight.

He roughly guessed who had launched the attack to test him.

As a variable appearing beside Itadori Yuji, Kenjaku would inevitably want to figure out his background.

Compared to Kibutsuji Muzan's cowardice, this one was more sinister.

The previous Cursed Womb: Must Die was a work Kenjaku used for testing.

However, that plan was ruined by Kael.

At this mont, in Kenjaku's mind, Kael was probably even more of an eyesore than Gojo Satoru. After all, Kenjaku had long since figured out the latter's thods and abilities.

Although he was the strongest in the Jujutsu World and no one could match him, the enemies Gojo Satoru had to face weren't just Cursed Spirits, but also the sorcerers of the Jujutsu World.

It was never the Cursed Spirits who found Gojo Satoru most annoying.

Furthermore, Kenjaku had already thought of a counter-strategy.

But Kael was different. This mysteriously appearing Heavenly Restriction was completely outside of its plan.

At this mont, Kenjaku was experiencing a bit of what Tengen felt when they first t Zenin Toji.

It probably felt about the sa as eating shit.

Dispatching three Grade 1 Cursed Spirits to launch an attack was the most power Kenjaku could mobilize for now. Its energy had to be focused more on Gojo Satoru.

If it caused too much of a stir around Kael and Gojo Satoru caught its tail, then things would be difficult to handle later.

As a qualified conspirator, Kenjaku lacked anything but patience. The sacrifice of three Grade 1 Cursed Spirits wasn't without gain; at least it allowed it to once again raise its psychological assessnt of Kael.

"So what do we do next? You can't find a taxi in this middle of nowhere."

Zenin Maki looked around.

With no villages ahead or shops behind, were they supposed to walk back to school?

"Don't worry, I've already called for a one-click teleport."

Kael took out his phone and sent a text ssage.

"Teleport?"

Zenin Maki was stunned for a mont, then she saw Gojo Satoru appear before her eyes.

He was still wearing pajamas, and his iconic blindfold had been replaced with a pink sleep mask. He looked like he had just climbed out of bed.

"Who attacked my beloved students?!"

Gojo Satoru's tone was sowhat unpleasant. He hadn't realized Kenjaku's existence yet and thought it was the work of the Jujutsu World Higher-ups again, causing anger and killing intent to rise in his heart.

Those old geezers, making moves ti and again—did they really think he wouldn't kill anyone?

"The Cursed Spirits that attacked us have been dealt with, but the Jujutsu Sorcerer driving them ran away. I didn't call you over for anything else, Teacher; just to send us back to school."

Kael gave a brief overview.

So that's the kind of teleport it is!

Zenin Maki looked enlightened. She blinked at Teacher Gojo. Why hadn't she thought of using Teacher Gojo like this before? She had really learned sothing good.

"Dealt with already? Then what was with that text you wrote? I thought it was an ergency!"

Gojo Satoru pointed to his single cotton slipper, his aning clear.

"It is urgent. In a little while, it'll be curfew. I don't want to be called in for a talk by the Principal; that old guy gets quite talkative as he gets older."

Kael spoke with righteous conviction. Since he had laid out all the reasoning, Gojo Satoru was left speechless.

He could only pull a face and reluctantly grab Kael and Zenin Maki's shoulders, applying his Cursed Technique to take them back to Jujutsu High.

...

...

A chorus of ghostly wails and wolf howls echoed across the training grounds of Jujutsu High.

Itadori Yuji and the others were pressing hard on the bruises on each other's bodies. Without so force, the dicine wouldn't penetrate the flesh, and waking up the next day would be true agony.

Kael knew exactly where to strike, picking the body's pressure points while ensuring no real injury was caused.

After only a few days of special training, even Kugisaki Nobara could clearly feel a huge improvent in her physical techniques.

That was all experience gained from being beaten.

Inside and outside the equipnt room, the territories of the boys and girls were divided.

"Who could be so cold-hearted to hit my Maki like this? There's not a single unblemished spot on her body. Luckily they didn't go for this pretty face, otherwise my heart would be broken."

Kael looked heartbroken, and as he spoke, he was about to lift Zenin Maki's clothes to use his warm palms to help circulate her blood and remove the bruises.

"Wasn't it you who hit her?"

Kugisaki Nobara's untily voice ca from the side.

This was true, and among the students present, Zenin Maki had been drilled the hardest. However, that was her own request, and Kael could only oblige.

"...It seems I've been too gentle with you. How about we add another session of physical technique training?"

Kael narrowed his eyes and said eerily as he turned his head.

"Save , Maki-san!"

Kugisaki Nobara had no doubt about it and quickly hid behind Zenin Maki.

"Alright, Nobara is here; she can help apply the dicine."

Zenin Maki said as she reached out to push Kael out. If she really let this guy do it, the process could be imagined.

"Did you hear that? Get out now. This is our girls' territory."

Having found a backer, Kugisaki Nobara's back straightened quite a bit. However, she was imdiately intimidated by Kael's "you just wait" look and could only mutter in a small voice.

"What a nasty guy, even able to lay a hand on a beautiful and frail girl like . Maki-san, you must never be fooled by his sweet talk."

"You'd better say less. He can hear you."

Zenin Maki gave a concerned reminder.

"...Maki-san, you'll protect , right?"

Kugisaki Nobara asked sheepishly. She felt like she was about to die.

"I'd like to."

Zenin Maki shrugged.

Facing Kael, she really didn't have the confidence to claim her physical techniques were good.

Outside the equipnt room, the elusive Gojo Satoru appeared beside Kael, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed and praising him.

"Not bad at all. Interested in staying on as a teacher later?"

After seeing the results of the students' special training these past few days with his own eyes, he felt more and more that his previous decision was correct.

"Then you'll have to consider changing Jujutsu High into an all-girls school."

"That's a bit of a difficult request."

Gojo Satoru scratched his head. His tone changed slightly as he continued.

"I was also attacked yesterday by two Special Grade Cursed Spirits."

"Oh? If it's just that, is there any need to ntion it?"

Kael glanced out of the corner of his eye, knowing there was more to the story.

"Those two Cursed Spirits were very special. They could actually communicate with people and even had their own Cursed Spirit companions. I wasn't paying attention for a mont and let them escape."

Gojo Satoru sighed.

The strength of Cursed Spirits is clearly increasing compared to before.

Cursed Spirits are born from human negative emotions; they can be said to be the other side of humanity.

This ans that when the strength of the human side increases, the Cursed Spirit side follows suit.

Originally, Special Grade was the peak for both Cursed Spirits and Jujutsu Sorcerers, but this yardstick is gradually becoming difficult to apply to the current Jujutsu World.

Because Gojo Satoru's birth broke the original balance and raised the original power ceiling of the Jujutsu World.

Correspondingly, the new generation of Cursed Spirits will also strengthen.

This makes it hard for the lower and middle-tier Jujutsu Sorcerers, since their side's strengthening is concentrated in a single person.

Regardless, the appearance of rational Cursed Spirits who can even communicate with people still exceeded Gojo Satoru's expectations, causing him to change his original assessnt of the situation.

It seed that between them and the Jujutsu World Higher-ups, there was a third party exerting influence and swaying the situation.

"Are you telling this to seek comfort? Sorry, my embrace is only for delicate and soft mbers of the opposite sex."

Kael didn't hold back his disgust for Gojo Satoru, curling his lip at the other's feigned sadness.

"No more joking. I'll go warn those guys at the top. You try to look after my lovely students as much as possible. Be careful of the malice in the shadows; I have high expectations for them."

"You didn't ntion any of this when I first enrolled."

Kael looked reluctant.

"I'll introduce you to so big sisters later."

Gojo Satoru knew how to convince Kael.

"How big are they?"

"Very big."
