"These three Spiritual dicines... aren’t they special dicinal ingredients from the ga?"
Wang Mu looked and observed for a long ti before he finally recalled.
In the early stages of the ga, the protagonist would Travel around and et another female protagonist, Mo Xilan. Mo Xilan was born into a dicine Sect family, proficient in various pharmacologies, and later joined dicine King Valley in Jianghu, earning the moniker of dical Valley’s Divine Doctor at a tender age with so renown in the Jianghu. She played the role of a healer in the ga, and many early battles were impossible without her.
Upon their first encounter, Mo Xilan was searching for three legendary Divine dicines. After triggering the Travel event, the protagonist had the choice to help or not help her find these three dicinal ingredients. If one chose not to help, there would be no subsequent Travel events, aning it would be impossible to develop a relationship with her later on. Only after choosing to help, would a series of Travel events follow.
But these three types of dicinal ingredients were impossible to find in the early stages. Generally, only close to the grand finale would it be possible to find them all. Upon finding them, and only when Mo Xilan’s affection level reached its highest, could a unique ending CG be triggered.
During the interdiate Travel events, Mo Xilan would occasionally ask the protagonist if he had found them, and console him with various Elixirs. So of these Elixirs could enhance the protagonist’s Attributes, while others would impose so temporary negative BUFFs. For example, physical weakness, debilitation... requiring the expenditure of Action points and one or two months of rest.
At first, the protagonist thought Mo Xilan was being kind, but in reality, because she couldn’t find suitable Drug Testers, she filtered out so decent ones to give to the protagonist for testing. Since it was not certain that every Elixir would be beneficial, occasionally so bad ones arose. There were more than ten kinds of Elixirs to be tested, eight of which were good and boosted Attributes, while four were bad. In total, four Action points would be wasted, equivalent to a month’s ti, in exchange for the increase of eight Attributes – it was still a very worthwhile trade-off.
And those three legendary Divine dicines... "Tears of the Heartless, Goodness of the Utterly Wicked, Buddha Root of an Evil Ghost." Three kinds of ingredients that sound utterly non-existent.
How can one who is heartless, who has beco desensitized to the world’s harsh realities and has eradicated emotions, shed tears? A thoroughly wicked person possessing kindness is already rare, let alone a wicked person of eternal damnation – how could such a person possess any kindness? Evil Ghosts are mostly impure in all six senses, full of resentnt and spite, lacking not only a Buddha root but even humanity.
Finding these three mystically elusive dicinal ingredients in the early stages was hardly possible. Only after going through three incredibly complex side quests in the later stages could these three special ingredients be collected. For these reasons, Mo Xilan, this female protagonist, was very difficult to conquer in the ga. Her events were nurous, the side quests intricate, and they spanned the entire ga until the end when these three dicines were collected, helping her concoct a Divine dicine nad ’Immortal Sorrow,’ thus completing the ending. In short, she was a bundle of trouble.
But her abilities had a trendous impact on the ga’s main character. Because of the Spiritual dicine provided early on, which added a lot of Attributes, in the Mid Stage she gave the protagonist dicine King Valley’s Divine Skill Secret Manual, which greatly enhanced the protagonist’s various qualifications, significantly easing the difficulty of battle once joined. After concocting Immortal Sorrow in the later stages, there were hidden choices and endings.
This Immortal Sorrow was the very Spiritual dicine that even gods in heaven would worry over. It could cause the mighty to die instantly without form; it could also allow the weak to rejuvenate flesh from bones in the blink of an eye, rob a mythical master of all Power in an instant, or grant a beggar with ruined ridians an Extre Bone... In summary, it was very mystical. One shouldn’t ask why; it was just a ga setting.
In that ga, it was a unique Divine dicine. At that point, there would be an option. Mo Xilan would let the protagonist choose whether to poison the final antagonist boss during battle. If poisoned, the final boss would lose all Power, and the protagonist alone could easily finish the fight even without learning potent Divine Skills, massively reducing the difficulty of the final battle. This was one of the hidden resolutions. But once this option was chosen, Mo Xilan’s ending CG could not be triggered because Mo Xilan never told the protagonist how important this Elixir was for her, nor that she needed it to sustain her life.
"These three Spiritual dicines, aren’t they exactly corresponding to those three types of drugs?" Wang Mu slightly furrowed his brow.
The three Spiritual dicines in the ga weren’t actually dicines, but special mission items with peculiar dicinal properties. Described as mystical, only after completing the side quests would one know that these items were three special objects. They weren’t simply dicinal ingredients. So if one were just to look everywhere with the mindset of finding dicinal materials, they would not find them.
"Heartless Tear Lotus, Good and Evil Spirit Flower, Ghost Buddha Heart Root... These are indeed three pure Spiritual dicines. But why do their nas bear such a close relation to the three mission items in the ga?" Wang Mu wore a puzzled expression.
He hadn’t realized it imdiately, which was why he was montarily unable to grasp the connection. In the ga, those were truly unique items, from which only one Immortal Sorrow could be concocted. And now, they were being directly cultivated in batches as Spiritual dicines.
If Yan Qingwu and the others are still alive... then it’s not impossible for Mo Xilan to be alive as well. Could this Dan King Sect actually be her...?
Wang Mu’s heart skipped a beat.
