"It must have been a few months before we entered Leisure Cloud Valley. Master craved the fish from this river, so he ca here to fish," Wang Mu thought, his old face flushing.
Actually, this storyline was quite normal in the ga.
At that ti, An Qixiu was a sickly girl with a pale complexion and exquisite beauty. Fishing by the river, she gave off the vibe that she could easily take on ten opponents with one hand.
Wang Mu didn’t see a problem with this, having encountered similar situations before in Newbie Village.
An Qixiu also liked fishing. If the Love Saint Route wasn’t taken, she would appear as a mysterious NPC at various special fishing spots, selling fish species to players on other routes.
Such an ancient creature, having lived for countless ages, had an extraordinary fondness for an activity like fishing.
In the ga, with the protagonist’s strength at the ti, he was no match for the Desert Bandits.
If the protagonist triggered An Qixiu’s favorability at the first opportunity, she would join the battle at this point and offer him tips. The protagonist would then receive a powerful See Through buff. As a newcor who was considered insignificant within his sect, he would miraculously overco these third-rate bandits of the Jianghu.
It was a cliché yet classic storyline.
It was ant to showcase the impressive special abilities of An Qixiu.
Of course, for a player, a female character who couldn’t be developed was just eye candy; being strong oneself was all that mattered.
Without An Qixiu’s guidance, the protagonist would likely have been overpowered, severely injured, and knocked unconscious. He would awaken, not dead, but having left his sect, transford into a mber of the bandits. This would begin another storyline: the Green Forest Bandit Route.
As for how he survived, the ga didn’t explain, only stating that the protagonist was captured.
If one wanted to gain An Qixiu’s favor through this storyline, the difficulty was even higher.
Under An Qixiu’s guidance, one had to not only defeat these bandits but also comprehend an advanced Saber Technique, avoid passing out, and subsequently display exceptional culinary skills.
This required a certain level of Comprehension.
How laughable... Perhaps she found it funny that the protagonist, with his inadequate martial arts, still rushed out to save others...
Wang Mu coughed.
Indeed, as a player at the ti, he had been confident enough to win that battle.
Of course, for An Qixiu, a reclusive powerhouse, there were plenty of ways to deal with those bandits, even if she possessed no martial strength herself.
"...At the end of my sixteenth year, I received a Hundred Herbs Fish. Tianming cooked it using an Ancient thod and said that if I ate it, I would surely want a second. My heart scoffed; having road the boundless world, what delicacies had I not savored?"
"Just a Hundred Herbs Fish..."
"Eating it... not bad..."
"Eating a second... extrely delicious..."
"Eating a third... such a delicacy actually exists in this world..."
"One must not overindulge."
"Eating a fourth... Tianming’s gaze was strange, so I reprimanded him..."
"..." Wang Mu.
This must be part of a later storyline. After repelling the bandits, as the evening sun set, the two of them happened to catch so fish in the Ancient River.
One of them was a Hundred Herbs Fish, its flesh extrely bitter, tasting like chicken ribs.
To gain An Qixiu’s favor at this point, one needed to showcase exceptional cooking skills to prepare this fish.
That was the challenge in winning over An Qixiu.
Later, An Qixiu ate five in a row. This made Wang Mu at the ti feel that the girl in the ga was odd. She looked so fragile, yet she could eat so much. He wondered if the ga had deliberately designed her that way.
Hence his strange look, which earned him a reprimand from An Qixiu.
In the subsequent storylines, An Qixiu was basically always eating.
A silver-haired, blood-eyed girl with a gluttonous attribute—very much in line with XP.
Looking back now...
An Immortal with a hearty appetite...
Wang Mu couldn’t help but sigh.
This stele from the Sixth Life was only visible after one held the Ancient Seal and successfully undid the First Layer of Illusion.
It was clearly heavily encrypted.
Even intentionally so...
Regarding the choice in the First Layer of Illusion, if one weren’t truly Dongfang Mu, it would be impossible to answer correctly...
Wang Mu shook his head and continued reading.
"...At seventeen, Tianming grew rapidly, much to my contentnt. Alas, with few trials, how could he withstand Heaven’s Punishnt? In his final years, I took three volus of the Jade Flaw Heaven Technique and hid them within the Infinite Sect. Powerhouses from all directions gathered at the Infinite Sect. When Tianming arrived, calamity was imminent, and he was invited to intervene. I observed from the shadows as he fought the Eight Great Sects. Not bad."
"Afterwards... Tianming repaid with three Braised Green Silk Fish. Quite delightful."
"..." Wang Mu.
Reading the evaluation, Wang Mu was speechless.
This storyline marked the transition into a major mid-stage plot.
In the ga, a mysterious sect, the Infinite Sect, was rumored to possess three volus of the Jade Flaw Heaven Technique. Cultivating it supposedly allowed one to reach the legendary Heavenly Realm and beco the Martial Arts Supre.
The ergence of the Divine Skill naturally caused a stir in all directions.
No one knew how this rumor started.
So, the protagonist arrived at the Infinite Sect. Several other major sects also visited the Infinite Sect, each with hidden agendas. Facing imminent danger, the protagonist was entrusted with a critical task and chose to side with the Infinite Sect against the Eight Great Sects. He challenged and defeated the experts from all eight sects one by one. Finally, with An Qixiu’s secret guidance, he had an epiphany regarding the Jade Flaw Heaven Technique, saw through the weaknesses of the Sect Leaders of the Eight Great Sects, and defeated them all.
This was the third major storyline involving An Qixiu.
It also intertwined storylines of several female leads, along with various complex trials and so side quests.
It was considered the biggest climactic storyline transitioning out of the early phase of the ga.
An Qixiu orchestrated everything. Her purpose was to test the chosen one of destiny and also to set the stage for the ga’s middle Chapter, the Contest of Supre Martial Might.
After this storyline, the protagonist and An Qixiu would essentially be closely connected.
However, in the mid to late stages of the ga, An Qixiu didn’t have many plotlines.
