Transmigration: Into the Life of Severus Snape Chapter 118: Author’s Note: On Skipping Ahead
Hi everyone,
You may have noticed the delay—and there’s a reason for it. Over the past few days, I’ve drafted three different versions of Chapter 115, each with a different tone and direction. And truthfully? I didn’t love any of them. None of them felt like the right continuation after the intensity and closure of the ICW dueling arc. So I scrapped them.
As I reflected on it, I realized sothing important: Severus’s sixth year beca much longer than I ever intended. With the political arcs, the invention drama, and the world championship, it evolved into an epic in its own right. Going back to a quiet school year after that—well, it felt like trying to whisper after shouting on a mountain.
That’s why I’m considering a one-year ti skip—from the end of the ICW arc to Severus’s graduation at Ilvermorny.
Not because I want to rush the story, but because I want to keep the emotional montum and narrative integrity. Right now, I’m more interested in showing who Severus becos after all this—rather than rehashing school politics or filler arcs that don’t excite (or you).
But I’d love to know your thoughts. Would you be open to skipping ahead? Would you prefer a mini-arc at Ilvermorny first? What monts would you hate to miss?
Drop a comnt and let know.
Thank you, as always, for your patience, your kindness, and your passion for this story.
