She strode straight toward the waiting black car at the curb, its engine purring, door already open.

He was already there.

Leaning against the door fra.

Waiting.

Like he’d known she would co out alone, like he’d predicted every move.

"You done performing?" he asked softly, the question carrying no judgnt, just curiosity.

She didn’t stop walking, heels clicking sharply on the pavent.

He opened the door for her anyway, the gesture sohow both courteous and condescending.

She hesitated one second, pride warring with exhaustion.....

Then got in.

The door shut with a soft, final click.

12:11 AM — THE CAR

The city blurred past the windows in streaks of gold and black, neon signs becoming abstract art, the world outside reduced to light and motion.

Silence pressed in.

Thick.

Tense.

Suffocating.

Shuyin sat rigid on one side of the back seat, arms folded tight across her chest, eyes fixed hard forward, refusing to look at him. Lu Yuze sat opposite her, still as a predator who had already decided when to strike and was simply waiting for the optimal mont.

"You don’t get to touch like that again," she said finally, breaking the silence, her voice flat and controlled.

His jaw tightened, the only visible sign of reaction. "You flirted with thirty n in my face. What do you think? I’m a man and husband..."

"You stalked ," she shot back, turning to glare at him. "You kissed without permission."

"That wasn’t a kiss," he said quietly, sothing dark moving behind his eyes.

She turned fully now, the seatbelt cutting across her shoulder. "Then what was it?"

His gaze dropped to her mouth, lingering there with unmistakable intent.

"Claiming what’s mine."

The words hit differently in the dark, in the enclosed space, with no crowd to buffer them.

Intimate.

Absolute.

His hand flexed once against his thigh, knuckles white.

Control.

Barely maintained.

"I buried my wife," he continued, his voice steady but his eyes burning with sothing raw. "But it doesn’t an I don’t have feelings."

He leaned forward slightly, the movent controlled.

Then stopped himself, jaw clenching.

"You walked into that club like chaos wearing lipstick," he finished, voice dropping lower, rougher. "And I, as your husband, was left at ho."

Her breath caught despite herself, despite her anger.

"That’s not my problem."

"It beca your problem the second you kissed back."

"I did not..."

He surged forward.

The car jolted slightly as his hand caught her chin, turning her face toward his with inexorable force, gentle but utterly unyielding.

This kiss was nothing like the first.

Slower.

Deeper.

Controlled only by how long he chose to delay losing it completely.

For one second, she pushed, palms flat against his chest.

The next...

Her hands slid into his collar instead, fingers curling into fabric and skin.

A betrayal of her own will.

A surrender she hadn’t authorized.

His restraint shattered like glass.

He pulled her onto his lap in one brutal motion, her back hitting the door softly as he claid her mouth again, harder now, starved, feral, all that legendary control finally breaking.

Her mind scread no.

Her body said yes.

Her heart betrayed her completely.

She twisted, trying to straddle him properly, trying to flip the power dynamic, to regain so control over the situation.

"You don’t get to...." she gasped against his mouth.

"Too late," he rumbled, the words vibrating through her.

She surged upward, managing to shift positions, face inches from his, fury blazing in her eyes.

Then she kissed him again, wild, reckless, trying to dominate instead of being dominated, trying to prove sothing.

It only made him tighten his hold, arms like steel bands around her waist.

The car slowed, the driver’s timing impeccable.

The privacy screen between front and back had been up since they’d entered.

The driver wisely pretended not to exist, kept his eyes forward, and heard nothing.

Her fingers dug into his shoulders, nails catching on expensive fabric.

His hand locked at her waist, spanning her ribcage, thumb brushing just beneath her breast.

Breath tangled.

Pulse matched.

War waged inside two bodies occupying the sa space.

"You think you’re in control," she whispered breathlessly, pulling back just enough to speak.

"I know you’re not," he replied, his eyes dark and certain.

For one terrifying mont, she realized he was right.

When he finally pulled back, their foreheads pressed together, both breathing hard, the energy between them unstable and explosive, dangerous in its intensity.

Her lips were swollen, slightly parted.

His eyes were wrecked, pupils blown wide.

"You’re dangerous," she said softly, almost wondering.

"So are you," he replied, and it sounded like acknowledgnt. Like respect.

Silence fell again.

But this ti...

It was no longer empty.

It was full of everything unsaid, everything denied, everything inevitable.

And sowhere in the dark space between power and possession, between freedom and capture, sothing irreversible had begun.

12:26 AM — THE VILLA

The gates slid open in complete silence, automated sensors recognizing the car, tal disappearing into stone walls.

The mansion greeted them like a sleeping beast, dark, vast, obedient to its master’s will.

The car hadn’t even fully stopped before Lu Yuze’s door opened.

Shuyin stepped out first, needing space, needing air, needing distance from what had just happened.

Three steps.

That’s all she managed.

His hand caught her wrist, fingers circling the delicate bones.

Not gentle.

Not violent.

Absolute.

"Bedroom," he said, and it wasn’t a suggestion or a request.

It was a statent of fact.

She spun on him, fury sharpening her beauty to sothing dangerous, sothing that belonged to deep ocean trenches. "Who do you think you are, ordering ...."

He pulled her forward, the motion smooth and practiced.

The staff lowered their heads instantly, lting into shadows.

No one dared look.

No one dared breathe.

No one would rember seeing anything.

He didn’t drag her because she resisted, though she did, heels scraping slightly on marble.

He pulled her because she refused to walk voluntarily, and he was done giving her choices tonight.
