Now reading: Chapter 121 - 121 121 Brother-in-law is the Ex 211 from Transmigration: On the Gossip Front, a Urban novel by Qi Qi's cat.

121: Chapter 121: Brother-in-law is the Ex 21_1 121: Chapter 121: Brother-in-law is the Ex 21_1 Xia Ke knew that this apartnt would definitely satisfy Huang Jing, but still asked, “What do you think?”

Gazing at the apartnt, Huang Jing was truly satisfied.

Right upon entering was a small foyer, essentially just a passageway, of course with a simple shoe cabinet on the side.

Though not large, it was enough to accommodate commonly worn shoes.

Then walking down the passageway, the kitchen was on the side, where there was a small sliding door that could block out the cooking fus.

Next, a turn revealed the sink, a small counter for food preparation, and further on were the refrigerator and the washer and dryer.

Opposite the refrigerator was the bathroom.

Though not spacious, it just managed to incorporate a wet and dry separation, which pleased Huang Jing imnsely.

She didn’t want to take a shower and have the entire bathroom soaked, and because it was a corner unit, there was a window here for ventilation.

Next to the washing machine was a small vanity, which could also serve as a workstation, depending on how one used it.

And opposite it was a large wardrobe, behind which was a queen-size mattress, separated from the living room by an arched doorway with curtains that gave off a princess vibe.

“I don’t think this is the right fit for ,” Huang Jing said, pointing at the lace curtains.

“I quite like it,” Xia Ke expressed her real liking for the arrangent, “The sa apartnt, really, I didn’t expect such a setup.”

“It’s indeed better than mine.” It was actually the sa layout, only this landlord had renovated.

“It’s also pricier,” Huang Jing noted that an extra four hundred a month indeed had its reasons.

Alright, Xia Ke felt that her current apartnt was better.

She used to love traveling, so she hadn’t saved much money and needed to work hard.

The largest room was the living room, simply furnished with a TV cabinet and a couch opposite it, and of course, a coffee table that could serve as a dining table when raised.

What made Huang Jing more satisfied was that, “The landlord really knows how to live.”

The balcony was adorned with many plants.

To think an IT professional could find ti to care for greenery was a testant to a person truly having taste in living.

Thinking of this made Huang Jing nervous, “Um, I might not be able to take good care of these plants, I hope that won’t be a problem.”

What if the landlord required the plants to be well cared for?

This thought indeed put a lot of pressure on Huang Jing.

Regarding that, “No worries, the landlord knows we’re busy, it’s not a strict requirent.”

“Just hopes for the house to be kept clean.” Huang Jing knew the landlord.

“She’s switched jobs to another company, and if she cos back in a few years, she can continue to live here.”

Huang Jing hadn’t plan on staying long-term, as the apartnt was nice but it was just a one-bedroom, giving the sense of little privacy.

“Alright, that reassures her.” Huang Jing was too lazy to look at other houses.

Due to the nearby IT industry, many people just bought properties, made minor renovations, and rented them to tech workers, so direct listings from landlords were indeed rare.

If she let this great apartnt go, Huang Jing didn’t know when she would co across another one.

“My lease is up, and He Zhen keeps finding excuses to retrieve items.” The thought was annoying.

“I’ve never t anyone like him.” She regretted not having made it clear from the start that He Zhen had to take his things in a few trips.

As a result, now he ca over to take a few things each ti, making it so infuriating she almost wanted to throw him out on the spot.

If it weren’t for wanting to see the outco of that couple, Huang Jing really wouldn’t want to be polite, but now even the thought of enjoying the drama was losing its appeal.

“By the way, can I move in right after signing the contract?” The landlord had actually moved away and gone to report to another place, but it was still necessary to ask.

“Of course, you can,” Xia Ke knew this apartnt would absolutely make Huang Jing happy.

“Once the contract is signed, you can move in.”

“We’ll be closer now,” she mused.

Although there was still so distance from the company, it wasn’t too far—an unsolvable distance was rely five minutes away.

Many colleagues walked ho after work, and there was no need to worry about safety since there were quite a few people walking the sa route.

Plus, she could commute with Xia Ke, which made moving here truly the best choice for Huang Jing.

Ever since the fallout with Ho Zhen, Huang Jing had begun packing her things, just waiting to find a house and move.

Now that she had settled on a house for the next three years, of course, Huang Jing was swift to move.

“By the way, I rember your lease isn’t up yet?” Xia Ke said, while waiting for their dishes to be served, recalling sothing.

Huang Jing humd a response, “I’m planning to ask Ho Zhen if he wants it.”

“If he doesn’t, I plan to return it to the landlord.”

Let Ho Zhen live there?

“Charge him?” Xia Ke felt that the old Huang Jing would never bring it up, but the current Huang Jing would, having had a great realization.

“Of course,” she said firmly.

“Otherwise, why would I offer it to him?” Huang Jing was indeed upset with Ho Zhen.

“After all, no matter what, you can’t have a fall-out with money,” she said, picking up her phone to call Ho Zhen.

After staying in a hotel for a few days, Ho Zhen truly couldn’t handle it—it simply wasn’t like being at ho, and then all inconveniences followed.

Even more importantly, paying for several days’ accommodation was truly distressing, so he followed the agent to look at houses.

Although he knew that rental prices were increasing, he didn’t expect them to have risen by so much.

Ho Zhen had actually wanted to rent a decent two-bedroom apartnt, regardless of the cost, especially now that Huang Lei had already resigned.

This infuriated Ho Zhen, but since she had already resigned, what could he do?

Not accept Huang Lei?

Huang Lixin and his wife definitely wouldn’t let him off, and neither would Huang Lei herself.

But the thought of the expenses after Huang Lei arrived made Ho Zhen’s head spin.

However, he had made up his mind; after all, he didn’t want to marry Huang Lei.

If she insisted on acting out, sorry, he couldn’t afford such a wife.

Whether they called him shaless or a cheater, from this mont on, he was going to set rules for Huang Lei.

Either she wouldn’t marry him, or she would beco the wife he wanted.

As for Huang Lixin and his wife, the present-day Ho Zhen was truly unafraid.

After receiving a call from Huang Jing, Ho Zhen agreed without an issue.

However, regarding the rent, he had sothing to say.

After being a couple for so many years, wouldn’t he understand her thoughts?

Sorry, Huang Jing stated, she definitely wouldn’t indulge him: for the remaining days, you pay the rent, or I return it to the landlord.

Huang Jing: Hurry it up.

If you want it, let’s call the landlord and make the changes to the lease.

Listening to Huang Jing’s indifferent words, Ho Zhen smirked: you’re still so cold.

Huang Jing retorted unapologetically: “No way around it, for a cheating man, I’m already being polite.”

Huang Jing didn’t want the hassle anymore—was it just about losing so rent?

She could afford it; she really didn’t want to have to look at Ho Zhen’s face.

Huang Jing: Forget it, I’ll inform the landlord.

Ho Zhen hadn’t expected the current Huang Jing to be so unsparing and unable to take a joke.

But he had no choice.

Now Ho Zhen must renew his current rental since, at this price, the rent was really cheap.

Seeing Ho Zhen begging, Huang Jing sneered a few tis; he really thought he could outsmart her?

He should realize his own limitations.
