Capítulo 1546: Chapter 1547: The Girl with Three Failures 54

Zhang Yu sat in front of the computer, glanced at today’s program operation status, and found that everything was within her control. She couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

So she continued to work overti in front of the computer. Sigh, Zhang Yu now deeply felt that earning a hundred thousand really wasn’t easy.

But there were advantages too, like when she applied for leave, it wasn’t difficult, and they didn’t even count her absence as leave but rather as handling business matters.

This feeling of having backing is truly wonderful, Zhang Yu really thought it was great.

With such a good leader, as a subordinate, what else could she do but work diligently?

Zhang Yu continued to complete her work at the investnt bank, and just as she was so busy she didn’t know what was going on, she heard her phone ring.

Zhang Yu’s first reaction was, ah ah ah, why can’t they just turn off their phones after getting ho, or at least put it on silent? Otherwise, she would definitely turn off her phone’s sound.

Hearing the phone ring when busy really scares your thoughts away.

Furiously, she went to grab her phone, thinking it must be that idiot Cheng Jian again, changing his number to send ssages.

Regarding Cheng Jian, Zhang Yu really disliked him now, really wanted to scold him harshly.

Unexpectedly, it wasn’t an unfamiliar number, but a call from Mike.

Seeing the caller’s na flashing on the phone, Zhang Yu’s first reaction was, could there be a change in the data?

Zhang Yu quickly answered the call, and before she could speak, she heard Mike’s voice: “Co downstairs.”

Huh? Zhang Yu was puzzled, walked to the balcony, and saw Mike downstairs.

Mike: “There’s a social event today, and the desserts from that place are pretty good.”

Delivering so desserts to her at this ti, Zhang Yu really didn’t know what to say, wasn’t he worried she would eat them late at night?

Wasn’t he worried she would get fat? Zhang Yu secretly mocked in her heart,

but of course, her body was honest. Desserts that Mike thought were tasty must not be bad.

Given that, Zhang Yu certainly couldn’t miss out.

She went downstairs to retrieve the desserts and was a bit surprised to see only Mike.

Mike, noticing Zhang Yu ca out, looked around and chuckled, “Relax, it’s just .”

“A bit disappointed, aren’t you?” Mike admitted, yes, he often got overshadowed whenever he was around Ye Zhuo.

Luckily, he was generous and didn’t mind, otherwise, he’d be upset thinking his spotlight was stolen.

Disappointed? Zhang Yu shook her head, “I’m really not disappointed, just surprised.”

“Weren’t you guys going to the event together?” Usually, when these two attended events, they’d go together, so was Mike attending alone today?

Yet when he did attend alone, he’d at most just ntion good food while dining with others, not bring anything to her.

The more Zhang Yu thought about it, the stranger it seed; she suspiciously looked at Mike.

He showed a helpless look because anyone who’s not blind could see Zhang Yu’s wariness towards him.

“It’s Ye Zhuo; he said their desserts are pretty good, and you’d like them.” Hmph, Mike decided he’d rember this grudge, knowing full well that delivering desserts would overcomplicate Zhang Yu’s thoughts, which was why he was sent.

Ye Zhuo actually rembered her? Zhang Yu was taken aback; she really hadn’t expected it. She thought about it and casually accepted the desserts.

Seeing Zhang Yu had taken the desserts, Mike prepared to leave, “Head back and rest early.”

After walking a few steps, Mike rembered, “Do you have plans for Spring Festival?”

Surprised, Zhang Yu looked at Mike, “What’s up?” Why ask this all of a sudden?

“Just rembered a friend who opened a resort in Hainan, newly opened, inviting us over.”

Zhang Yu knew Mike had extensive connections in every industry, so she didn’t pry, just listened quietly.

“We packed a big red envelope; thus, they asked us to co for Spring Festival, covering food and accommodation.”

“We already have Spring Festival plans and can’t make it.”

All expenses paid? Zhang Yu felt ecstatic, “Really?” Such perks shouldn’t be missed.

Though she’d planned a trip around City S, better options shouldn’t be bypassed.

“Yes, a standalone villa with a pool.”

“You should go; if you don’t, it’d be a waste.” Mike kept assuring Zhang Yu she wouldn’t need to spend a thing.

After thinking, Zhang Yu agreed, “Sure, I’ll discuss it with my parents.”

A free trip sounded unmissable, and especially to Hainan, where her original owner’s aunt had sung praise from a past visit.

Back upstairs, with those beautifully crafted desserts, Zhang Yu was uncertain where to start.

Finally deciding it’s just desserts, she picked one and ate it, delighting in its taste.

After finishing a piece, she stored the rest in the fridge, tidied up so docunts, feeling her eyelids droop, quickly prepared to rest.

Before sleep, she ssaged Mrs. Zhang about the Hainan trip for Spring Festival, seeking her parents’ opinion.

She sent it then, fearing she’d forget amidst the next day’s busyness. Better to do it now.

Having done all that, Zhang Yu simply did so Pilates, ditated briefly, then went to bed to rest up for better productivity.

anwhile, Cheng Jian was already quite tipsy at a bar, having thought he’d just arrive here, and excuse himself early the next day, needing a firm stand on not drinking.

His intent was sound, yet he faltered when Jiang Lili’s friends made a couple of comnts and she got upset, scolding him rcilessly, giving no face at all.

Jiang Lili gazed at docile Cheng Jian, increasingly irked, “Drink or leave.”

“Don’t drink and get lost.” Jiang Lili felt Cheng Jian was growing disobedient, and her friends were right; unpunished now, he’d never heed her words in the future.

Now the Jiang Family had split, the current resources in her hands paled compared to before.

Jiang Lili glanced at the people drinking with her, unwillingly admitting that several forr friends joined her less frequently.

Not due to any discord or falling out, just because she wasn’t who she once was.

If she could, she’d want a new boyfriend, but could anyone else be as good as Cheng Jian? Most importantly, could she even control him?

Repeating the sa speech, Cheng Jian recognized it and wanted to request a new topic, rather than constantly suppressing him with this.

Alas, he had no choice, daring not to oppose.

Seeing Cheng Jian obey, drinking, entertaining them, as if a mood lifter, Jiang Lili felt elated.

Right, like this, Cheng Jian had to understand that even married, he must still follow her lead.
