Capítulo 1599: Chapter 1600: The Three Failures – Female Student 107

Zhang Xiaogu was stunned to learn that Zhang Yu had achieved so much, “Second Brother, Second Sister-in-law, you’re blessed.”

Thinking of Zhang Yu, she couldn’t help but compare him to her own son. Even after buying him a house and a car, the result was always the sa—he favored the Yue family. It was as if she didn’t exist. “It’s still better to have a daughter.”

“Little Yu has achieved so much, buying you a house and even buying one in Harbor City.”

“It’s a loan, a loan,” Mrs. Zhang added. This was an important detail.

“Even if it’s a loan, Little Yu used her own money to buy it, didn’t she? Didn’t she?” Zhang Xiaogu felt a sense of grievance just thinking about it.

Mr. Zhang nodded proudly, “Yes, even if she asked us for help, what could we do with the little money we have?”

Earlier, during a break, Mr. Zhang had learned from Mrs. Zhang about the price of the house Zhang Yu bought. The figure made him gasp; he knew it wouldn’t be cheap, but he hadn’t expected it to be so expensive.

“Not bad, my family, huh.” Zhang Xiaogu had been about to say more when her younger uncle approached, tugged at her, “Second Brother, Second Sister-in-law, congratulations.”

“The sa to you, the sa to you. We’ll be at your child’s full moon banquet at the end of the year,” Mr. Zhang congratulated in return.

Her younger uncle nodded, “At the end of the year, Little Yu should also be able to make it back.” Now that Zhang Yu was successful, she would surely be generous.

Upon hearing this, Uncle Zhang and his family eagerly looked at Mr. and Mrs. Zhang, “Last ti Little Yu ca back, it was just for a quick visit. She should be back for the New Year this year, right?”

As for this, Mrs. Zhang didn’t need to discuss with Zhang Yu to know that she was reluctant to co back, but it wasn’t the ti to say that now, “We’ll see then.”

“We take a holiday for Spring Festival, but foreigners don’t celebrate it.”

“Little Yu’s life is busy; she has to keep an eye on the European and Arican stock markets, working day and night,” Mrs. Zhang began explaining why Zhang Yu might not return.

Upon hearing this, Uncle Zhang and his family felt a heaviness in their hearts, “Work is important, but she can’t miss the New Year. She still needs to co back and pay respects to the ancestors.”

“Whatever, our parents weren’t particularly fond of Little Yu while they were alive, just because she’s a girl.” Did the ancestors of the Zhang Family bless Zhang Yu? Mrs. Zhang didn’t think so at all.

Everyone now knew Mrs. Zhang’s words were truly unforgiving. But they hadn’t expected her to be so aggressive, leaving them all stunned.

Of course, they knew why she was so assertive now, it was all because she had a successful daughter; that was her confidence.

“Alright, it’s getting late. Let’s head back. We need to prepare for the move.” They couldn’t take this lightly; they had to properly bless their daughter.

After they left, Young Uncle Zhang felt quite upset, “I’ve never seen a brother and sister-in-law like this. What’s wrong with siblings helping each other out?”

“Don’t think about it. Last ti Little Yu ca back, she didn’t visit us. She certainly won’t this ti.” Uncle Zhang knew that Zhang Yu took those words to heart.

If it hadn’t been ntioned, it would’ve been alright. But once it was brought up, everyone rembered that the last ti Zhang Yu ca back, it was basically to collect debts.

“It’s all because of our eldest sister-in-law. No matter how much she looked down on Second Brother, she shouldn’t have said such things about them,” Young Uncle Zhang recalled the money paid back and felt heartache.

The others also thought of how Mrs. Zhang handled things back then. Even though she didn’t co to their workplaces to collect, their efforts to gather the money were utterly embarrassing. It all started with what the eldest aunt had said to Zhang Yu.

“Little Yu is soone who values face. Hearing that from her relatives, how could she feel good about it?”

In their opinion, it was all the eldest aunt’s fault, “Otherwise, Little Yu wouldn’t have distanced herself from us. Now that she’s successful, there’s no way she wouldn’t lend a helping hand.”

Eldest Aunt Zhang was unwilling to bear this bla, “You talk as if your attitude towards the second family was much better. You also looked down on them.”

Being relatives, everyone was quite aware of each other’s backgrounds. Eldest Aunt Zhang unceremoniously exposed everyone’s secrets.

This made for a lively scene, and if it hadn’t been a public place, it would have escalated who knows how.

Mrs. Zhang didn’t know that after they left, everyone started arguing. If she did, she would surely say they deserved it.

She was quite busy at the mont, with many things to prepare, and still needed to check if she could board the plane, “If I can’t board the plane, it would all be for nothing.”

Thankfully, after inquiring, the airline said it was possible, allowing Mrs. Zhang to breathe a sigh of relief, “I’ll go over and tidy up the house first. Once everything’s sorted, you’ll take leave and co over.”

In the past, with Mr. Zhang alone at ho, she wouldn’t worry. Her husband would surely take care of himself. But now that their wealth was known, people were bound to keep an eye on them.

“Don’t worry, I’m busy,” Mr. Zhang reassured, understanding his wife’s concerns, “I won’t go out causing trouble.”

“I’ll stay at ho. Once you’re there, follow our daughter’s plan for the arrangents,” Mr. Zhang worried his wife and Zhang Yu might quarrel over house arrangents.

Mrs. Zhang shot her husband an eye roll, “Of course, I know. It’s not like you don’t know your daughter; she knows what she wants.”

“As for you, no matter what your siblings or our siblings say, don’t agree to anything they ask of you.”

Mrs. Zhang had a clear view of their relatives, “Opportunists, the lot of them.”

With a mix of anxious anticipation and concern, Mrs. Zhang boarded the plane to Harbor City. With her departure, both sides of the family felt quite pleased.

They knew that Zhang Yu was cold-hearted and had barely any contact with family, almost wanting to cut ties imdiately.

Mrs. Zhang, too, was tight-lipped, not revealing anything at all.

Having looked around for anyone else to approach, they reluctantly concluded that aside from Mr. Zhang, they had no other options.

Their idea wasn’t bad; Mr. Zhang seed gullible enough. But parental favoritism and siblings’ dismissive attitudes had opened Mr. Zhang’s eyes.

“There’s no use in pulling strings. She’s just an employee; how could she decide who cos and goes?”

“And if soone did get in through the back door, without understanding anything, they’d be kicked out imdiately.”

“They want proficient people who can analyze stock trends. Do any of your kids understand that?”

“And then write an analysis based on stock trends and so data. Can you do that?” Mr. Zhang listed tasks Zhang Yu typically did.

No one had expected it to be so demanding; they were all stunned, “That’s a really high requirent.”

“What did you think a high salary entails?” Mr. Zhang was speechless, shocked they thought it required so little.

“Those are basic requirents, and once in, salaries increase annually, along with the demands.”

Ah, everyone looked at the serious Mr. Zhang, wondering if he was joking. The requirents sounded impossibly high, “If I could crack the stock market, why would I need a job?” Young Uncle was quite frustrated.
