Zhao Xuan went to the factory cafeteria to eat, and on her way ho, she happened to run into Zhou Kai.

If possible, she would have preferred to avoid him. Her mom was right; even if Zhou Kai is smart, he never considers what he says and often offends people. Even if he were smarter, it wouldn’t matter, and Zhou Kai isn’t very smart, so there’s no need to get close.

But now that he’d seen her, Zhao Xuan couldn’t pretend she hadn’t seen him and just walk past. If people saw, she couldn’t even begin to imagine what they’d say about her.

Zhou Kai, looking rather down, wasn’t expecting to see Zhao Xuan, and that made him happier.

He dashed over to Zhao Xuan, "Xiao Xuan, I went to your house to ask if you were going to the cafeteria for a al, but I didn’t hear anything. I thought you went to the bookstore to buy books."

They were all in the habit of using the sumr vacation to preview the topics for the upcoming sester. They were soon facing a streaming test, and even Zhou Kai, as smart as he was, needed to buckle down and study.

Going to the bookstore to buy books? Oh right, how could she forget? She hadn’t bought any study materials, and they were going to cost a lot. Before, Zhang Yu paid, but now she couldn’t rely on that.

"Should we call Zhang Yu along? Even if Zhang Yu isn’t as generous as before, he should at least treat us to sothing."

Besides, if she forgot to bring money, it would be normal for her friend Zhang Yu to lend a hand.

"She already went this morning." Zhou Kai also wanted the three of them to go to the bookstore together, but Zhang Yu didn’t give them the chance.

What? Zhang Yu went to buy review materials right after the exams? Zhao Xuan was surprised. "Is this the Zhang Yu I know?"

"She’s actually this proactive?" Zhao Xuan looked incredulous.

Zhou Kai knew it was quite shocking, "When I was eating, I heard soone from my mom’s office ntion they saw Zhang Yu picking out a lot of books at the Xinhua Bookstore this morning."

Zhou Kai paused, "She wasn’t alone."

He was really surprised because, whether in the residential area or at school, Zhang Yu wasn’t particularly popular.

He hadn’t expected her to have soone to go to the bookstore with, and Zhao Xuan thought for a while but couldn’t figure out who it could be. "Who do you think she went with?"

Zhou Kai shook his head, "No idea."

No idea, again no idea. Clearly, he’d heard about Zhang Yu going out to buy things with soone, so why not find out what the other person looked like so they could figure out who it was?

Clearly not a fool, but his actions were just so foolish. Zhao Xuan was inwardly complaining about one thing or another.

She hadn’t realized her dissatisfaction with Zhou Kai was growing.

Zhao Xuan was so irritated she didn’t want to talk to Zhou Kai, and the two walked in silence toward the residential area.

"By the way, are we going to the bookstore tomorrow?" Zhou Kai asked.

Zhao Xuan really didn’t want to talk. Going out to buy books again required spending money, and she didn’t dare to ask for money, let alone ntion buying a dress. This sumr, she had only bought two dresses, both in early June.

Back then, she and Zhang Yu hadn’t fallen out, and they went to the mall to buy clothes. Now, they couldn’t shop at the mall anymore, and even if they went to the wholesale market, they wouldn’t buy much.

Zhou Kai, still not hearing anything from Zhao Xuan, was a bit impatient. "Are we going or not? Make up your mind."

Seriously, this should be a simple decision. Why was she taking so long?

Zhao Xuan heard the impatience in his voice and was unhappy. Clearly, it was soone else’s fault, yet she had to bear the consequences.

Just as she was about to retort, she looked up and saw Zhang Yu riding his bike over, with a Xinhua Bookstore bag in his bike’s basket.

"Zhang Yu." Zhao Xuan waved to Zhang Yu.

Zhang Yu hadn’t expected to run into them here; it was their usual ti to go to the cafeteria for lunch.

He was really curious. Clearly, they were already on sumr vacation. Why not just make sothing at ho rather than go to the cafeteria?

Zhao Xuan had complained about it many tis, and even Zhou Kai had too, but now that they were on vacation, they didn’t know how to cook for themselves.

Zhang Yu rode up to them, "Did you go to the cafeteria for lunch?"

Zhao Xuan nodded, "Otherwise, there’s nowhere else to eat."

Oh, do they plan to mooch off our family store? Zhang Yu was really impressed by them, "Why not just cook sothing yourself?"

"Or just reheat yesterday’s leftovers." Zhang Yu really didn’t think it should be that hard.

"My mom said the leftovers aren’t fresh." Zhao Xuan helplessly repeated Qiao Lili’s words.

Oh, "I see." If her own mom said that, could he really say that cafeteria food was worse?

If her own mom didn’t see a problem, as an outsider, he had no grounds to say anything.

Zhao Xuan was mildly disappointed that Zhang Yu didn’t offer for them to eat at his place, but she had to switch topics.

She glanced at the bike basket, "You went to the bookstore?"

Zhang Yu nodded, "I’m not attending the tutoring classes, so I have more ti and bought so workbooks."

Zhao Xuan responded, "Oh, you’re not going to tutoring?"

"I’m going to tutoring, just not in math," Zhang Yu replied casually.

Tutoring in math, huh? Zhao Xuan’s eyes lit up. She needed help with math. "Did you find a tutor? I can recomnd one."

Zhang Yu didn’t want their help in finding a tutor and politely declined, "No need, no need."

"I’ve already found a college student tutor who can provide targeted help for ."

"The tutors you find, I’m not saying they’re bad, just not very well-suited to my needs."

"The tutors we used to find were really good, but my grades didn’t improve much, so I wondered if maybe the tutors were too advanced."

"Also, since I study liberal arts, math isn’t that difficult."

"The tutors you pick are all great, but looking at my grades, I’m really worried they might faint from anger." Zhang Yu had a look of concern for the tutors.

"I’d rather find a tutor suited to so both the tutor and I can take it easy."

And, more importantly, "My parents could also have a bit of relief financially."

"Otherwise, with such expensive tutors and no progress on my part, I’d feel like money was being thrown into the water."

"Now that it’s not costing much, I feel much more at ease, and even a little bit of progress," Zhang Yu made a tiny pinched-size gesture with his fingers, "makes feel super relaxed."

"Keep it up, I have faith in you. You’ll definitely achieve great results." Motivating others was sothing Zhang Yu was good at.
