Zhang Yu didn’t go downstairs, but those who were supposed to watch still did.

When Zhang Tao and Feng Liya got back, Zhang Yu was already waiting at ho for them. "Congratulations on your victory."

"Did you hear from upstairs?" Don’t think Zhang Tao isn’t always watching others’ reactions, although he did look up and saw his daughter peeking out her head.

"Of course, I was planning to go down, but then I thought, with my parents’ skills, they would easily crush them."

Don’t think it’s always Feng Liya who argues, Zhang Tao’s abilities are also undeniable.

"Exactly, those people think they can hide behind others and stir things up. But I can see right through those so-called leaders," Zhang Tao said, clearly seeing their intentions.

"I’ve inquired, and this ti, actually, not many hos need to be demolished, just the shops on the outskirts like ours," Zhang Tao continued.

"I don’t want to drag this out. Letting it drag on is just a hassle, and it might not end well. This real estate company is a key investnt target in the city."

"It’s also their first developnt project, so they definitely want to make a na for themselves," Zhang Tao said, expressing his thoughts.

Upon hearing this, Zhang Yu imdiately understood that if there were no issues, Zhang Tao planned to sign the agreent promptly.

"Dad, are you planning to take the cash or the shop?" Zhang Yu was curious about Zhang Tao’s choice.

"Half cash, half shop. I don’t want to run a restaurant here anymore, but the location is good. If I take the shop, I can rent it out," Zhang Tao replied.

"As for the money, your uncle’s suggestion is to buy a piece of land and build on it, possibly with floors for shops and apartnts, with the second and third floors for a restaurant," he added, initially planning to buy a building for the restaurant.

After discussing with his brothers-in-law, they all supported his plan to buy land and develop property himself.

Zhang Yu knew that from this demolition, they would get a significant sum of money. Who would’ve thought they could get a shop and also buy land for developnt?

Zhang Yu thought for a mont, "Do we have enough money for all this?"

Even though they acquired all the shops without borrowing from relatives, most of their savings were nearly exhausted.

Now, handling such big plans simultaneously, Zhang Yu couldn’t help but worry if their finances could keep up.

Do they really have such strong financial capabilities? From mories of the original story, their family was doing well because uncle never forgot to invest in them.

Who would’ve thought their life was already quite comfortable now?

"Actually, they’re right. Running a restaurant is profitable, but also quite hard work," Zhang Tao, a chef himself, knew the hardships of the restaurant business.

His plan was for him and his wife to work hard for a few more years to earn more money, buy so shops and properties, so their daughter could live off the rent without such hard work.

Zhang Yu understood the hard work of chefs. "When opening the new place, make sure to have a big air conditioner in the kitchen."

The current restaurant kitchen did have an air conditioner, but only one, and during lunch and dinner rush hours, it got so hot no one wanted to stay in there.

Installing a big air conditioner in the kitchen? Zhang Tao was amused by his daughter’s suggestion. "Chefs have always gotten through like this."

"When I was learning to cook, my clothes could soak and wring out a bucket of water," Zhang Tao recalled his early cooking days, which were indeed tough tis.

"Thank you, Dad." The original protagonist was truly fortunate to have such wonderful parents.

"What are you thanking for? You’re my daughter. Of course, I have to treat you well," Zhang Tao said, rembering sothing he heard earlier, "Little Yu, are you planning to study abroad?"

What was going on? Zhang Yu looked puzzled, not understanding why Zhang Tao asked, "What’s up?"

"I heard you’re studying IELTS vocabulary to prepare for studying abroad," Zhang Tao said, knowing that families with good conditions tend to send their kids overseas for studies.

So it’s because of this, Zhang Yu thought with exasperation, "I bought the dictionary just to study vocabulary, I’ve never considered studying abroad."

Though studying abroad is good, Zhang Yu really hadn’t considered it at all. "I’m content to stay at ho. Why would I want to go abroad unnecessarily?"

"Is it definitely better abroad?" Zhang Yu really didn’t think so, "I feel staying at ho is pretty good."

"And you guys only have . If I went abroad, you two would be lonely."

"I’ve thought about it. I’ll get into a good university here, then co back," Zhang Yu decided. There’s no need for graduate school, really no need for an only child planning a laid-back life to push herself so hard.

No need, truly no need. "At that ti, I’ll just stay by your side."

"Getting married and having kids, if a man wants to make a fortune off , I’ll send him packing imdiately." With a child and money, life would be sweet.

Zhang Tao and his wife knew about Zhang Yu studying IELTS vocabulary, and they were worried, not about the cost of studying abroad.

They worried if she went abroad, would she ever co back? If not, they’d be left alone in the old ho, and the thought of that was quite lonely.

They even considered whether they should start learning English now, so they could join her abroad without language barriers.

Unexpectedly, their daughter said such a thing, deeply touching them.

But what Zhang Yu said next shocked them. They didn’t expect Zhang Yu to have such thoughts at her age, considering these issues.

But Zhang Tao thought about it and suddenly felt it was quite good. "Let the child take our surna, and don’t worry about any chaos from the other side."

Even though it’s the Millennium now, many still try to be opportunists. If their daughter really t such people, it would be a big hassle, especially when married with kids.

With what their daughter said, Zhang Tao liked the idea. "Yes, if things don’t work out, she can divorce, and the kid can live with us."

"If things do work out, then they can continue their life together." As a father, Zhang Tao hoped his daughter would find a good man to take care of her.

Though there’d be kids, once they’re grown, they’d have their own dreams and might want to explore the world. "Not every child will stay to care for their parents."

"No worries, they have their future, I have my plans," Zhang Yu never thought a child must care for her. "If I have money, whether living at ho or in luxury retirent residences, I won’t worry."

"Money in hand, there’s no need to worry about anything. Only those without money need to worry," Zhang Yu said calmly.

Growing old nurous tis, Zhang Yu could say that when it ca to retirent, everything was already planned.
