Now reading: Chapter 1793 - 1794: Wealthy Family First Branch’s Granddaug from Transmigration: On the Gossip Front, a Urban novel by Qi Qi's cat.

Zhang Yu was in the study working on practice questions when she checked the ti and prepared to head down to the courtyard for a run.

Poor high school seniors, studies are important, but so is health.

She had just changed clothes and stepped out of the room when she saw the steward walking toward her.

Zhang Yu’s first reaction was, at this ti, hasn’t grandpa gone to rest yet?

Ever since grandpa attended a few of his old friends’ funerals, he beca interested in health preservation.

He no longer stayed up late as before, and avoided so social engagents if he could, since Zhang Hai was there anyway.

Logically, at this hour grandpa should be resting, so why hadn’t he gone to sleep yet.

The steward walked up to Zhang Yu, "The master is waiting for you in the study."

Well, he’s really waiting for her in the study, what else can she do, of course she has to go see grandpa. She can’t just say she’s going for exercise and let grandpa wait, that would really be asking for trouble.

When Zhang Yu arrived at the study, she was surprised to find Zhang Fugui not sitting behind his large desk as usual, but instead on the sofa.

Everyone knew grandpa loved sitting behind the desk, as he felt that’s the place that showcased his authority.

"Grandpa," Zhang Yu called out with confusion as she approached the sofa.

Zhang Fugui grunted and put down his ginseng cup, "Sit."

Zhang Yu directly chose the seat opposite grandpa and quietly waited for him to speak.

For a long ti, Zhang Fugui didn’t utter a word, and Zhang Yu remained silent, just quietly watching him.

Zhang Fugui was truly surprised; he thought Zhang Yu would speak out impatiently, but she managed to hold her silence.

It’s a pity she isn’t a boy, and this girl has too many ideas. She wasn’t the type of successor he could control; Zhang Fugui didn’t like such a child.

Though Zhang Yu could sense Zhang Fugui observing her, she acted as if she didn’t notice and didn’t react.

Zhang Fugui picked up his cup, took another sip of water, and then put it down, "Yinghao talked with you."

Just for this? Zhang Yu paused for a mont, then thought it was understandable. After all, the beloved grandson initially didn’t want his parents to divorce; suddenly changing his stance without grandpa questioning it would be strange.

"Yes." Since he saw her chatting with Zhang Yinghao, there was no need to deny it.

"He said he didn’t want his parents to divorce, so I ntioned why the uncle wants to get a divorce." She calmly recounted her previous conversation with Zhang Yinghao.

Zhang Fugui had already asked Zhang Yinghao about it and knew the process; now he was just confirming, "I’ve been wanting to ask you, regarding your uncle and little aunt’s divorce, how do you feel about it."

Huh? Their divorce and he’s asking her how she feels? "Well, you really don’t need to ask ."

"They’re not my parents, I’m just a niece."

"If you want to know the feelings, you should ask my brother, since they’re his parents." Zhang Yu firmly refused to express her opinion.

To them, whether Zhang Hai and his wife get divorced had nothing to do with her.

Listening to Zhang Yu’s words, Zhang Fugui had only one thought: this girl, her words are truly slippery.

"Your aunt has always plotted against you, didn’t you have any thoughts on that?" Zhang Fugui believed Zhang Yu couldn’t possibly be happy.

"Grandpa." Zhang Yu looked at Zhang Fugui in confusion, "Didn’t you diate between us yesterday."

"You said that since it already happened and I didn’t suffer any loss, let’s let it go."

"You ntioned that then, and I agreed, after all, I wasn’t at a loss."

"Back then, the uncle showed no sign of wanting a divorce, and I truly don’t know why he wants it now."

"Grandpa, after my college entrance exams, I’m going to prepare for university." If she can get into Harbor City University, that’s best, and if not, she’s planned to study law in a good dostic university and then apply to be an exchange student.

The point is, she has to leave here in September, only by leaving can she truly gain freedom.

"I’ll be really busy then, busy with studies, busy with certification, busy with internships."

Zhang Yu stated that as a law student, she’s really busy, the kind of busy that flies by.

"Also, grandpa, don’t forget, studying law ans I’m adept with legal clauses; do you think anyone could still sche against ?"

Zhang Yu smiled at the thought, "As long as no one plans against , I truly don’t have ti to ponder these things."

"Didn’t you always say people should look forward, only then can they improve themselves?" Zhang Yu recalled a saying from Zhang Fugui.

What could Zhang Fugui do, aside from nodding repeatedly, he could only nod repeatedly, "True, true."

Sigh, this girl is indeed slippery; if Zhang Fugui weren’t sure this was his spontaneous thought, he would have suspected soone leaked it.

Looking at Zhang Yu’s smiling face, Zhang Fugui felt displeasure no matter how he looked and was just about to tell her she could leave.

Zhang Yu suddenly approached him, "Grandpa, I helped counsel little brother this ti, shouldn’t I get a reward?"

"Reward?" Zhang Fugui never expected this thought from Zhang Yu.

Zhang Yu nodded, "Yes, you have no idea; when I ca back, my brother was really depressed, his face downcast."

Zhang Yu mimicked a dejected expression, "Truly, I comforted him quite well."

She gently sighed, "Grandpa, you don’t know; he said after his parents divorced, he doesn’t know what to do."

"Honestly, you have no idea. At that mont, I really wanted to say, so your parents are divorced, at least you can still see them, but ?"

"My parents just went on a business trip and never ca back." Zhang Yu wiped away tears.

"Truly, I still think about if only I could have taken leave that day to go too." Zhang Yu sniffed.

Zhang Fugui never doubted Zhang Yu’s sincerity; he knew how good his eldest son was to his daughter; really excellent.

His dissatisfaction with Zhang He partly stemd from him being the Zhang Family’s eldest and only having a daughter; he must have a grandson.

But regardless of what he said, this boy wouldn’t let his wife go to Harbor City to give birth again, wouldn’t divorce to remarry, nor find another woman to have a child.

When the news about the eldest couple’s accident ca back, this child fainted on the spot, cried for a long ti after waking up, and didn’t eat for days. If it weren’t for hospital treatnt, who knows if she’d be here now.

Zhang Fugui took a deep breath, "What nonsense are you saying; if your parents heard you say this, they’d be heartbroken."

"Rest assured, you’ll be just fine." Zhang Fugui wiped away tears, "Your school fees, whether studying abroad or dostically, as long as you keep studying, the family will pay."
