Gao Kai saw that Mrs. Gao and Eldest Sister-in-law were there, and his two sons were ho as well, but Wei Xuan was nowhere to be seen.
This made him suddenly uneasy. It was already late, and Wei Xuan should have been ho by now.
"Stop looking." Mrs. Gao said irritably, "Gao Zhen, I’ve never seen such an arrogant daughter-in-law."
"Even though she has cut ties with her natal family, she’s a woman without a family, yet she can still be so arrogant."
Mrs. Gao angrily recounted Wei Xuan’s behavior after seeing them, "She didn’t even say hello, just quickly packed her things and left."
What? Gao Zhen was bewildered upon hearing from Mrs. Gao that Wei Xuan had left with her things, "Why would she take her things?"
"How should I know?" Mrs. Gao replied irritably, "In any case, Gao Zhen, you must teach your wife a lesson."
"She must recognize her mistakes and must kneel at the doorstep for three hours before entering the house."
"And there’s place to live at ho, why waste money? Really, move back ho."
Ever since Gao Zhen and his family moved out, life at the Gao Family had imdiately beco difficult, and als were a constant calculation, often leading to argunts for a bite to eat.

What? Again suggesting Wei Xuan give up her job for the elder nephew? Gao Zhen’s expression imdiately darkened, "Mom, I’ve brought this up before, but she didn’t agree."
"Moreover, she said if she’s forced to give up her job, then she’ll divorce." Although Gao Zhen had many complaints about Wei Xuan, he knew better than to completely fall out with her.
Eldest Sister-in-law wanted to say that divorce is just divorce, no big deal, everyone knew she had no family and had fallen out with her in-laws, where else could she go?

When Wei Xuan left ho with her luggage, she walked along the road thinking for a long ti about how to manage the days ahead.
Really divorce? If she really divorced, her salary would go towards renting an apartnt and expenses, and no matter how she thought about it, her inco wouldn’t cover all her needs.
But if she didn’t divorce, no matter how frugal she was, she couldn’t endure Gao Zhen prioritizing his parents, and any money she wanted to have would just slip through her fingers.
Divorce would an being broke but at least there wouldn’t be constant nagging in her ear, nor would there be a pile of things waiting for her to do, and she wouldn’t work to exhaustion without seeing any benefit.
Divorce, she must divorce. At worst, she’d work hard and rent a small apartnt, or see if there was a four or five square ter place at work where she could rest.
This way rent could be cheaper, and more importantly, if Gao Zhen’s money was drained by the Gao Family and he couldn’t manage, he’d co looking for a place with the two kids, and she’d have the excuse that the place was too small for four people.
Thinking of this, Wei Xuan completely relaxed, lying on the bed during her duty shift at work, starting to consider what to do next.
Lying in bed, she couldn’t help recall her parents once saying that the Gao Family wasn’t a good match, and it was her foolish stubbornness that made her insist on marrying Gao Zhen.
Gao Zhen left ho and headed straight to the community office; he knew at this point Wei Xuan had nowhere else to go except here.
He was unsurprised by Wei Xuan’s lack of surprise at his arrival. A woman without a family wouldn’t have many options.
"Um, I, I..." Under Wei Xuan’s direct gaze, Gao Zhen didn’t know what to say.
"Let’s divorce." Wei Xuan spoke first, seeing Gao Zhen’s hesitation.
"No." Gao Zhen suddenly lifted his head, "I won’t agree."
"That’s your business. I’m not going to continue living with you. From now on, you and your two sons can live together whether you return to the Gao Family or stay outside, that’s your decision."
"Gao Xin and Gao Kai bear your surna, they’re your responsibility." Wei Xuan said and then returned to lie down in the office.
Seeing Wei Xuan leave so decisively, Gao Zhen was truly flustered. Last ti during an argunt, he was annoyed at her persistent nagging to move and split from the Gao Family.
He had thought she’d persist again, but who could have imagined she’d say just a couple of sentences without further words this ti.
Gao Zhen knew if this wasn’t resolved well, it was over for real, "Honey, honey, I know I’ve been wrong, I won’t act on my own anymore."
Gao Zhen pleaded and made promises, but unfortunately, Wei Xuan didn’t react at all, remaining as quiet as if there was nobody in the office.
Gao Zhen dejectedly returned ho to find Mrs. Gao and his sister-in-law gone, leaving the two kids alone.
Gao Xin and Gao Kai’s eyes lit up seeing Gao Zhen, then looked behind him noticing he was alone. "Dad, where’s mom?" Gao Xin touched his stomach, "Dad, I’m hungry."
"I’ll make dinner." Hearing his son calling hungry and considering his own stomach’s protests, Gao Zhen decided to cook first and mull over what to do next.
Upon entering the kitchen, he was stunned to see it bare, what was going on? "Where’s the rice and flour?"
Though yesterday he saw plenty, now it was all gone.
"Grandma and them took it." Gao Xin said softly.
What? Gao Zhen hadn’t expected that when Mrs. Gao and the others left, they’d take even the rice and flour, "What else did they take?"
Gao Xin shook his head, "Nothing else."
Gao Kai rembered what Mrs. Gao said before she left, "Grandma and them said mom must have hidden so things, and when we move back, they must teach mom a lesson."
This was just as he rembered Mrs. Gao, really no surprise at all, "Son, we’re not moving back, we’re staying here."
He knew if they moved back, life for him and his sons would be miserable, and Wei Xuan would never co back again.
