Now reading: Chapter 2076 - 2077: Old Mrs. Zhang Reborn at 70, Reforming from Transmigration: On the Gossip Front, a Urban novel by Qi Qi's cat.

Zhang Yu and Wei Dazhi are daydreaming about their future retirent life, and just thinking about it makes them feel really good.

Wei He is in a terrible mood, he really doesn’t know where the problem is. Could it be that he didn’t sound pathetic enough?

Could it be that there was sothing wrong with his expression? But thinking about it, it doesn’t seem right. To get through it smoothly, he practiced well in front of the mirror, and even Li Juan and the others said there were no issues.

Yet, how co he still didn’t pass? Where exactly is the problem? Wei He’s mind is in chaos. He originally thought things would develop as he expected.

But who would have thought that sothing he thought was fine would still have a problem? Wei He walked along, thinking over and over, not knowing where the issue lies.

If possible, he really wants to go back and ask what the problem is, but he doesn’t have the courage to do so.

Maybe things aren’t as he thought. Maybe his parents have already noticed the issue but they just don’t want to bother.

Li Juan is at ho feeling restless, occasionally looking toward the door, especially when she sees that even Wei Jiang is already ho, her uneasiness rises to her throat.

This is such a big deal for the family; Wei Ming and Wei Lan, being the older kids, sincerely hope this matter can succeed.

All these years they have been living in the courtyard, really had enough of it. The old neighbors have been earning money, buying apartnts, and moving out one after another.

Granny Jiang, needless to say, has long opened a restaurant and is earning lots of money. Their restaurant has already branched out, now living in a two-entry courtyard near Zhang Yu’s single-entry courtyard.

Auntie Wang’s family, although not so aggressive, buys and sells small goods in wholesale, purchasing comrcial properties to run themselves. After making money, they continue to buy houses and comrcial properties to rent out. Although they haven’t yet acquired the capability to buy a large courtyard, they did purchase a floor in a building close to Zhang Yu’s area, living quite comfortably.

Even Widow Luo who previously, in the courtyard, had the lowest family conditions, has a daughter-in-law conduct small business step by step. Although she hasn’t beco extraordinarily wealthy, she too has a shop and business, living in a big and spacious house.

You could say, the courtyard is still the old courtyard, and the hoowners are still the sa old group, but they have all moved out, and now the residents are all tenants.

Yes, that’s right, even both families, Wei Jiang and Wei He, are tenants.

Wei Ming really doesn’t understand. Obviously, his grandparents do have properties. They have single-entry, two-entry, and even three-entry courtyards, not to ntion apartnts, and even comrcial properties.

But why are they being so stingy with them? Wei Ming really doesn’t get it. Previously he didn’t care, as long as he had a place to live it was fine, and it was quite spacious here. But later he found that neighbors from a big courtyard were all buying houses outside one after another.

At that ti, he didn’t have much feeling about it, after all, he had his own circle of friends and there were no peers in the courtyard. But now he’s about to graduate from college, only to find that in the courtyard area, his family is actually doing the worst.

Before he looked down on his uncle, thinking he was just a laborer, doing hard work. Later he realized that neither of the two families had room to laugh at the other, the reason being simple, neither of them owned their house, they were both tenants.

When he started dating a girlfriend in college, things were going well, until one ti he brought her ho. She discovered they were cramd with his uncle in three rooms. He still rembers his girlfriend’s expression.

Afterwards, there was no more word from her, the reason being she wanted to find a boyfriend with a matrimonial ho, at least not in a place shared with in-laws, saying it was too stifling.

Wei Ming never expected his first love to end like this, and the reason was actually because they had no ho, because he lived in an old house.

At ho, it’s not like he hasn’t thrown a fit, having great dissatisfaction with Li Juan. Even his single, unmarried aunt Wei Xuan has two houses, but sohow his own family doesn’t have any, not a single one, still renting now.

Before, he thought it was nice that Li Juan dressed herself up. Whenever she attended parents’ etings, he felt proud. After all, his classmates’ moms were all dull, looking quite spiritless, but his own mom, walking around, carried an air about her.

Now he really resents Li Juan. She has money to dress herself up, why can’t she save it up so they could buy a house?

Now he’s busy with work and dating another girlfriend. Things are going well and their jobs are also good, both working in foreign companies. Both parents an to discuss marriage.

Of course, Wei Ming also wants to get married. Many classmates and friends, have already gotten married and had kids, so saying he’s not envious would be a lie. But now the crucial issue is buying a house.

His girlfriend suggested not wanting to buy that kind of Tube-shaped Building without a separate bathroom and kitchen, saying it’s quite inconvenient because she lives in that kind of house.

She doesn’t want a house with a small bathroom either, saying she wants to buy a three-bedroom house, so there’s an office room. When the kids grow up, it can be used. Moreover, when they’re working overti, they can have a place to work.

If the parents co over, the study can be converted into a guest room for them to stay temporarily.

Wei Ming understands his girlfriend’s intentions, essentially she doesn’t want to live with in-laws. In the future, once they have children, the girlfriend wants his parents to co over to take care of the child, then continue living there.

Wei Ming is aware of these petty plans of his girlfriend. He’s okay with it, as, after all, Li Juan loves being pretty. Expecting her to take care of the kids wouldn’t happen.

As for Wei He, Wei Ming doesn’t have high expectations. Even now his cooking skills haven’t improved, expecting him to take care of kids and do chores is even less likely.

As a result, the family needs to buy two houses. With current house prices, he needs a three-bedroom house, Li Juan also says she wants to buy a three-bedroom house. One room is for her and her husband’s to sleep, one is for her husband who wants to write novels, so there must be an office room, otherwise no way. The other room is to be made into a dressing room, to accommodate her many clothes.

Li Juan has been saying how her clothes are all wrinkly, wearing them out ans having no style, always muttering that after buying the house, she must set up a dressing room like in European and Arican movies, so all the clothes hang up and can remain good.

What? Where does Wei Lan live? Well, she’s a girl, and sooner or later she’s getting married, why reserve a room? You can’t change the plan just for a daughter who’s bound to get married, right?

That’s Li Juan’s exact words, including Wei He and Wei Ming not seeing a problem with it. As for whether Wei Lan has any opinions, it simply doesn’t matter. A daughter who’s bound to leave for marriage has nothing to do with the family’s matters.

As Li Juan and Wei Ming excitedly prattle, Wei Lan is also continuously praying, hoping everything goes smoothly, so she can talk to Wei He about having the family either buy her a small studio or at least support her a bit.
