He really couldn’t stand this man Han Xue at all, a man who climbed up by relying on a woman. Since he managed to marry into the Han family, he should’ve just lived his life quietly, but this guy just had to keep stirring things up.
He clearly knew they were going after this IPO, yet he still had to fight them for this deal.
Uncle Han repeated what Lin Yu had said. "What do you think?"
Brother Han thought for a mont. "He’s right. If Uncle is targeting us, where did he get that data from?"
"News about the house transfer, as long as they make so inquiries, they could find out. It’s just so fund movents..."
Uncle Han grunted. "That’s what I think too. If it really is them, and we make a move against them, we can easily deal with them."
"But if it’s not them, wouldn’t we just be letting them laugh at us behind our backs? What’s worse is, we fail to take them down, and we don’t know how they’ll co after us in the dark." Brother Han was worried the other side still had more cards to play.
Uncle Han humd. "Yeah, that’s what I’m worried about too. But to just let Lin Yu off like this, I’m not willing."
"Son, do you think Lin Yu can land this deal?" That was what he was really worried about.
"No idea, but Lin Yu’s already asked his ex‑wife to step in." Brother Han never put this brother‑in‑law in his eyes at all. "What do you think Lin Yu’s ex‑wife is thinking?"
"The man already cheated, they’re already divorced, and she’s still willing to help." Brother Han was speechless.
"That’s because the money’s good." Uncle Han snapped impatiently.

Looking at his son nagging on and on, Uncle Han reported two sets of numbers. "One is her previous salary plus bonuses, her entire annual inco when she was working. The other is what she’s charging for this job."

Brother Han stared blankly. "Haven’t things been pretty hectic lately? I... I just didn’t get around to it."
"You... Lin Yu himself isn’t the scary one. Zhang Yu is." Uncle Han gave a cold snort. "Lin Yu really has no eye for people."
"How co you didn’t end up marrying a daughter‑in‑law like that?" If their main branch had such a capable daughter‑in‑law, would they still need to worry about those petty people?
They wouldn’t need to worry at all; she’d be soone who could crush them effortlessly in minutes.
Brother Han rolled his eyes unceremoniously. "I dated a girlfriend in college, didn’t I? She was capable, but you guys didn’t like her."
Thinking of his ex now doing so well overseas, "Look at how well she’s doing on Wall Street, already a VP at a major investnt bank."

"If it goes bankrupt, then it goes bankrupt. That’s not our problem, anyway. It’d be their bad luck." Brother Han said bluntly.
"But your grandpa..." Uncle Han hesitated. He still couldn’t bear to think of the old man. As for his other brothers, fine, but they couldn’t just ignore the old man.
"We can talk to Grandpa." Brother Han understood that if his father was saying this, he was basically agreeing. "After all, we really don’t have a choice."
