Everyone was not overly surprised by the boss’s decision; after all, giving up such a big deal, they didn’t know where to find a similarly large client.
But if they went through with the contract and problems really arose, the company’s current financial strain might not be able to bear it.
The boss had already considered this, “Let’s consult the lawyers about how to avoid risks and how to revise the contract to protect our interests.”
