Chapter 893: Chapter 894 Toxic Fatherly Love 26

With a big backpack, there were two large suitcases and a cabin bag on the cart in front.

Zhang Yu looked at the pile of luggage, and those in the know understood they were going out for the Spring Festival; those who didn’t probably thought they were moving.

Initially, Zhang Yu thought that going to the South for the New Year, she could travel light with just one large suitcase.

But she couldn’t resist Li Cuifen insisting on bringing this and that, most importantly, Li Cuifen had a lot of study materials to bring.

Zhang Yu could only be thankful they were only going for twenty days; if it were two months, she wouldn’t know what to say.

Wu Hao was on a business trip today and pushed his luggage to the airport, spotting familiar faces from afar, “Why is it them?”

They looked like they were going out, with all their bags and suitcases, but with the New Year approaching soon, where could they be headed?

Wu Hao knew Li Cuifen didn’t have many relatives to visit, let alone ones out of town.

Wu Hao thought about it, still curious, and walked over to Li Cuifen, hesitating before saying, “Aunt Li,” not daring to call her mom as that would surely lead to trouble.

“What’s going on with you all?”

“Going out for the New Year.” Li Cuifen cursed her luck; she was looking forward to the trip with a good mood, only to unexpectedly run into him here.

Zhang Yu pretended not to recognize Wu Hao, after all, she hadn’t seen him for over ten years, and forgetting him was perfectly normal.

“Going out for the New Year?” Wu Hao was taken aback. He didn’t expect them to be going out and was astonished.

Though so people were going out for the New Year, most stayed ho. Going out for the New Year required quite a bit of money.

He didn’t know where they were going, but it didn’t stop Wu Hao from feeling very envious, “Really, if you have money, just spend, spend, spend.”

“Didn’t think to save it.” Wu Hao was not pleased, very displeased in fact, knowing fully well they were spending his money.

Wu Hao was reminded of the past two months, the conflicts with Feng Min over money, despite him already covering most household expenses. Yet, she still nagged constantly.

He couldn’t even rember how many argunts they’d had over household expenses, and now it was affecting the two kids’ studies.

Many of Wu Min’s courses had stopped, and so of Wu Jian’s courses hadn’t continued either.

Wu Hao wasn’t incapable of paying their tuition; it was Feng Min who couldn’t cover her share.

It was clear to him that Feng Min expected him to pay. He had the ans but felt it was unfair; they had agreed to each bear their responsibilities.

Yet Feng Min would rather spend her money on her own family than on the kids, leaving Wu Hao infuriated.

He had many family mbers to support himself but knew that no matter how he helped his family, he couldn’t disregard his own household.

But Feng Min felt that, no matter what, the Feng’s house was most important, even if it ant neglecting her own ho or the two children, she wouldn’t ignore her own family.

Wu Hao truly regretted it now; he once thought Feng Min was a good person, but she was purely selfish, and he had made such a huge sacrifice for soone like her.

Wu Hao gloomily went to the boarding gate, only to find Zhang Yu and them at the gate not far away. He walked over and discovered they were indeed going to Hainan.

If he weren’t with Li Min, he too would be able to spend the New Year in Hainan, but now how could he even think about it?

Going out for the New Year for them, even just the four of them, required quite a bit of money, with flight tickets alone costing around ten to twenty thousand.

Wu Hao had the money, but if the family knew, would they let it slide?

The Feng’s would also throw a fit, all rushing to Feng Min; just thinking about it gave him a headache.

Wu Hao looked down at his clothes, rembering the clothes his brother-in-law wore. Ever since he and Feng Min split finances, the Fengs seed to have upgraded their attire.

It annoyed him that funds were tight, yet the money went to the Feng Family mbers instead of their own kids, pinching and scraping at every corner.

The more Wu Hao thought about it, the angrier he got. He knew why Feng Min was so confident; she knew he wouldn’t fail to pay for the children’s future.

Despite knowing Feng Min’s harshness, Wu Hao had no way to deal with her, as they were his children too.

Wu Hao bitterly regretted how he ended up choosing her back then.

Zhang Yu stood up to use the restroom, noticing Wu Hao at the adjacent gate, his expression not great, thinking it was because he saw them traveling.

After returning from the restroom and settling back into her seat, the boarding announcent ca over the speaker. Zhang Yu supported Li Cuifen to start boarding.

Wu Hao watched them queue, his mood downcast.

Such a low mood persisted even when he returned ho from his work trip.

What aggravated him, even more, was that before he even had a chance to rest at ho, Feng Min demanded, “Give money, I need to buy New Year goods.”

“The New Year is upon us.” Feng Min said frantically.

No preparations for New Year’s goods? Wu Hao had almost forgotten. “We’ll skip it.”

“Just like usual,” he believed most of the purchased goods would end up with the Feng’s.

What?! Feng Min was taken aback by Wu Hao’s response, utterly stunned.

Staring at him for quite a while, “Old Wu, are you running a fever?”

“I’m not sick, are you, without money, so let’s keep it simple.”

“Also, if you can’t even pay for the children’s tutoring, why buy New Year goods?” Wu Hao stated plainly, “The children’s future is important.”

“Feng Min, stop telling you have no money. I know exactly how much you earn.”

“If you want to spend your money on your family, fine, then let’s divorce.” Wu Hao felt that continuing the relationship like this was simply not feasible.

Even with finances split, Feng Min still tried to take advantage of his money, making him feel utterly exhausted.

What?! Divorce? Feng Min looked shocked, having often looked down on Wu Hao, thinking he was not capable of making money. Yet, she now knew finding a better man than Wu Hao was indeed challenging.

“Why the talk of divorce?” Feng Min’s first thought was, “Do you have soone else?”

The more Feng Min considered, the more likely she thought it was. She had broken up Wu Hao’s previous marriage to marry him herself.

Now that Wu Hao was sowhat of a leader, with a decent job and side inco, it was entirely possible for young won to find him attractive.

“I have soone else, do I have money?” Wu Hao wouldn’t let Feng Min set him up like that, “I’m frustrated because of you, isn’t that right?”

Wu Hao angrily vented years of grievances against Feng Min, “Now, household expenses I’ve covered 60%, you’ve covered 40%.”

“Yet you always find excuses like the money is spent, unwilling to shoulder what you’re supposed to.”

“I don’t even argue with you, since they’re my kids, as a father, I pay.”

“But you’re still not satisfied, wanting to pay for New Year’s goods to give to the Feng’s.”

The more Wu Hao thought about it, the angrier he got. He realized so matters couldn’t just be his complaints but also needed to be shared with the two kids.
