Just hope that Sister Kong can find Miss Ji there! Otherwise, it will affect the reputation of the young ladies of the Kong Mansion.

Leading Lianxin back to the pavilion, they unexpectedly saw a woman approaching ahead.

The woman looked mysterious, glancing around cautiously.

Yao ngxian and Lianxin walked into a cluster of crape myrtle flowers, which were growing very lush, with vibrant blossoms overhead.

"Miss..." Lianxin was surprised by the woman’s appearance and quickly called out to Yao ngxian.

Yao ngxian hurriedly covered Lianxin’s mouth, pulling her into the flower bushes.

She had already recognized that the woman was her second sister. Moreover, from her perspective, she could see another figure, a person dressed in ginger-colored clothing behind a tree.

Judging by the silhouette, it was clearly a man; how could there be a man’s figure in this courtyard full of won today?

Could it be that these two were having a secret eting? Yao ngxian planned to see who the man was.

It was unbelievable that her usually indifferent and aloof second sister would be eting with a man.

Moreover, how did this man enter the courtyard? She was baffled by this.

Yao ngxian gestured to Lianxin to keep quiet while she focused closely on the two figures.

Kong Shuhuan sneaked into the second courtyard with Ying Yue, heading towards the Hanlan Pavilion.

Ji Yuying was getting impatient and wanted to leave; after all, she had no business ddling in other people’s secret etings.

Just as she was about to sneak away, she heard two soft footsteps.

Judging by the sound, they seed to be won.

Ji Yuying was curious about what the won looked like, wondering which wealthy family they belonged to.

She peeked out slightly to look at the two won heading towards the pavilion.

At first glance, she felt the won’s clothes and figures were very familiar.

Suddenly, she widened her eyes and covered her mouth; weren’t those her cousin and her cousin’s maid?

Unexpectedly, she encountered them here; could her cousin be here to et a man?

Who was that man? Could he be her cousin’s fiancé?

With that thought, Ji Yuying’s curiosity was piqued.

The family had said her cousin’s fiancé was a noble son, and her uncle was a third-rank official, which ant her cousin was truly fortunate.

Yet, her cousin, who always acted pure and unblemished, was secretly eting a man; it seed you really couldn’t judge a book by its cover.

Ji Yuying pouted, feeling disdain for Kong Shuhuan. Wasn’t she the sa as those other won secretly eting noble sons?

For so reason, she decided to stay and didn’t move.

Kong Shuhuan and Ying Yue reached the pavilion, their hearts thundering in their chests.

She glanced at the open door, hesitating, unsure whether to go in.

Ji Yuying looked at the hiding man nearby, puzzled about why the man didn’t show up. Was the one eting Kong Shuhuan not him?

In fact, Ji Mingxuan was stretching his neck to look at Kong Shuhuan. His original plan was to lure Kong Shuhuan here.

Now that he could see Kong Shuhuan in person, he naturally wanted to observe what this young lady looked like.

He intended to lure both Kong Shuhuan and Gu Chengyu here and had added sothing to the pavilion, waiting for the two to bond and then calling others over.

At that ti, who knew how Zhu Pang would react?

One was his fiancée and the other his friend; with both betraying Zhu Pang, who knew if Zhu Pang would break down?

The thought excited Ji Mingxuan greatly.

After all, Gu Chengyu should thank him!

Kong Shuhuan’s father was a Secondary Fourth Rank National Academy Sacrificial Officer, while Gu Chengyu was from a farming family, now rely a Standard Sixth Rank official. What else could it be but a bargain for Gu Chengyu?

In the future, Gu Chengyu might not be able to marry the legitimate daughter of a Secondary Fourth Rank official. Had it not been rumored that Kong Shuhuan had a pockmarked face, he would have considered marrying her himself; what a sha!

As the two closed in, Ji Mingxuan focused on one of the won’s faces and was stunned.

Where was the pockmarked face? She was clearly a beautiful young lady.

The other young lady was dressed like Kong Shuhuan’s maid. Focusing on her face, Ji Mingxuan couldn’t help but reflect that rumors can’t always be trusted.

Kong Shuhuan had a soothing elegance; while not astonishingly beautiful, she possessed a unique charm that made her seem approachable.

With her willow brows and almond-shaped eyes, her looks were dignified, making her seem like a virtuous person at first glance.

Ji Mingxuan sowhat regretted not keeping her for himself, knowing now how lovely Kong Shuhuan was.

Unfortunately, Gu Chengyu might be coming, so Ji Mingxuan couldn’t appear hastily, lest more trouble arises.

But perhaps Gu Chengyu didn’t believe the note. If he didn’t co, Ji Mingxuan indeed planned to go in himself.

Anyway, anyone caught would be a concubine; he certainly wouldn’t marry her. The position of his principal wife was reserved for a court official’s daughter.

One had to admit Ji Mingxuan was naive. If Kong Shuhuan was truly caught in a scandal with him, the Kong Mansion would not tolerate her.

The Kong Mansion would never allow their legitimate daughter to beco a concubine for a fifth-rank official’s legitimate son.

"Miss, should we leave?"

Ying Yue was a bit timid. Though no one was around now, she feared soone might co later.

Kong Shuhuan felt unwilling. Since they were here, she wanted to at least take a look before giving up.

"Why don’t you take a look, I’ll wait outside. Be quick!"

Ying Yue was just a maid; even if soone planned sothing, it wouldn’t likely be against a maid.

Ying Yue responded softly, trembling as she slid the door open slightly, seeing no one inside.

She was puzzled; could her future master not be in the pavilion?

Ying Yue intended to investigate inside; staying outside was too conspicuous.

Gu Chengyu paused at the pavilion, realizing it wasn’t appropriate to proceed this way.

Thinking it over, he used Qinggong to lightly scale a large tree near Hanlan Pavilion.

The tree was lush with leaves; hidden within, no one could spot him.

The tree positioned perfectly opposite the pavilion allowed him to see everything around clearly.

Upon climbing the tree, he saw a woman crouching outside the pavilion. A closer look revealed she was the woman he’d glimpsed twice behind a silk curtain earlier.

He hadn’t seen her before, so he didn’t know which family she belonged to.

But now he wondered why there was a stranger at the pavilion when the note was clearly written by Yao ngxian.

There seed to be sothing peculiar going on here; who truly wrote the note?

Having never seen Yao ngxian’s handwriting, he couldn’t decide conclusively.

What was this woman doing here? Could it be a setup?

Was it possible soone from an aristocratic family was truly setting sights on soone of his background?

Or was the woman also being manipulated? Gu Chengyu decided to watch and wait.

His gaze shifted and he discovered another woman hiding in the bushes below, whom he also didn’t recognize.
