Qin Min motioned for him to proceed, after which Doctor Jiao opened the lid of the incense burner and sniffed the scent inside.

Suddenly, a servant entered the room, looked around briefly, and upon spotting Gu Chengyu seated, hurried over to him.

Gu Chengyu was sowhat surprised. Could it be that Qin Min had discovered the truth? But that was impossible; Ji Mingxuan hadn’t seen his face, and only Kong Shuhuan and her maid knew he’d been to Hanlan Pavilion.
Kong Shuhuan wouldn’t reveal this to Qin Min to protect her reputation.
Zheng Lun saw Gu Chengyu get up to leave with the servant and stood up to go with him.
"Jinyu?"
Gu Chengyu waved his hand, not wanting Zheng Lun to get involved.
"Brother Zheng, please stay here for a while. I’ll be back soon," and he left with the servant without waiting for a reply.
Lu Chen had been watching Gu Chengyu closely. Seeing Gu Chengyu leave with a servant, he hesitated briefly and then got up to follow.
At this ti, Zhu Pang was engaged in a heated argunt with Ji Mingxuan, wishing he could bite Ji Mingxuan.
"You’re mad, doing such shaless things and then trying to bla it on and Jinyu. You’re a despicable scoundrel."
Ji Mingxuan now seed much more alert than before, his energy sowhat restored.
"It must be you; you’ve always had a grudge against , and you ca to this banquet just to set up." Now only did Ji Mingxuan realize that this woman was a cousin seeking refuge at Kong Mansion.
A pauper, what right does she have for him to marry her? He was ant to marry a high-born legitimate daughter, not a dependent without any sha or face.
