Transmigration:The Villain Wants A Happy End Without His BeastHusbands Chapter 120: Listen To Him!
When Yan Wuhen walked into the temple earlier, he hadn’t expected to find Ningyan and ishan getting married.
At first, he only noticed Ningyan.
He would recognize that white hair anywhere. It had grown longer since the last ti he had seen him. Ningyan also seed a little taller now. More mature. And sohow, even more beautiful.
He looked happy too.
Then, Wuhen assud they were simply praying.
Even though he was surprised to see them there together, his first instinct had been to walk over, pull Ningyan into his arms, and breathe in that sweet scent he carried.
But everything changed during the second bow.
That was when it clicked.
Wuhen froze.
Only then did he realize what they were actually doing.
They were getting married.
Right there in the temple.
The realization struck him like a blade. It felt as if soone had ripped his heart straight out of his chest.
The pain sank deep into his soul, leaving him unable to move. He could only lean against the pillar he had been hiding behind, trying to process the crushing weight in his chest.
His eyes widened.
Ningyan... was his mate.
Wuhen had never truly believed in mates. Even though his parents were mates. Even though his twin sister had already found hers.
He had always assud it wasn’t sothing ant for him.
After all, he had long accepted a simple truth, no one would willingly spend eternity with soone like him.
When he first t Ningyan, the idea of him being his mate had never crossed his mind.
Even when Rong Yue and Qinghe brought it up, Wuhen hadn’t taken it seriously.
But he had still wanted Ningyan.BDesperately.
He had wanted Ningyan to belong to him at all costs.
That was why he had used the spirit mate chain.
Because he knew one thing for certain. Ningyan would never stay willingly.
And Wuhen had always known sothing else too.
Lan ishan held Ningyan’s affection in a way he never could.
It had always made him jealous.
But right now, jealousy wasn’t the strongest thing he felt.
It was sadness.
A deep, overwhelming sadness he hadn’t experienced in a very long ti.
He simply stood there.
Across from him, ishan watched with that sa impassive expression he always wore, revealing nothing. It was impossible to tell whether he cared about Wuhen’s pain at all.
Ningyan, however, looked stunned. His lips were parted as if he wanted to say sothing.
And eventually, he did.
"This is awkward," he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck.
Then he blinked at Wuhen. "I, uh... am I supposed to console you or sothing?"
Wuhen blinked in surprise. "Ningyan."
"You trapped ," Ningyan said imdiately, frowning. "With a chain."
He rubbed the back of his neck.
"You made dependent on you. And yes, I’m grateful for the tis you saved my life, sheltered , but..." He hesitated before finishing, "...I don’t think I’m supposed to feel bad about this."
Those words hurt even more.
Wuhen’s eyes widened as he looked at the small frown marring Ningyan’s beautiful face.
His lips parted. But he couldn’t find the words.
Maybe he knew what he wanted to say. He just didn’t know how to say it.
The pain in his chest was still too fresh.
His mate was now bound to soone else.
A violent urge rose inside him, to tear ishan apart where he stood.
But Wuhen forced it down.
Because he knew exactly what that would do.
It would only push Ningyan even further away.
And Ningyan... Sothing about him had changed.
He still looked the sa. But his presence felt different.
Stronger.
Wuhen could sense it clearly.
Ningyan was approaching the Saint Beast stage of cultivation.
Wuhen took a step forward.
At the sa mont, ishan’s erald serpent eyes darkened.
Wuhen’s fox ears imdiately perked up, his nine tails rising behind him as faint red-gold flas flickered along their tips.
The atmosphere inside the temple changed instantly.
Both of their presences filled the sacred hall, thick and suffocating with hostility as two powerful beasts silently challenged one another.
Ningyan frowned.
"Don’t do anything," he warned sharply. "Either of you."
ishan imdiately restrained himself.
Wuhen did the sa.
The suffocating pressure slowly faded.
Then Ningyan suddenly wrapped both arms around ishan’s arm and gave Wuhen a sly smile.
"Well," he said casually, "if you’ll excuse us..."
He tilted his head smugly. "We’re going to consummate our marriage now."
ishan instantly turned red.
Before anyone could react, Ningyan grabbed him and dragged him past Wuhen.
Wuhen stood there. Frozen.
His eyes wide as the two walked away.
For a long mont, he didn’t move.
Then slowly, he turned and walked back toward the altar of the Fire Beast God.
He stared up at the ancient statue with a solemn expression.
Pain and jealousy churned violently inside his chest.
Finally, he let out a long, defeated sigh.
"I don’t care if he’s married to that boring scholar," he muttered.
His eyes narrowed with stubborn determination. "Su Ningyan will be mine once again."
The words sounded almost like a vow offered to the Beast God itself.
Then Wuhen turned and left the temple.
^°^
When he returned to the inn later that night, he walked down the quiet corridor toward his room.
He froze.
That presence again.
Lan ishan.
Wuhen’s ears twitched.
Without hesitation, he followed the familiar aura down the corridor before abruptly shoving open the door of the chamber it ca from.
And imdiately regretted nothing.
Inside the room, Ningyan was sitting on top of Lan ishan.
His upper body completely bare, revealing the many scars across his pale skin.
Despite them, he looked breathtakingly beautiful.
ishan laid beneath him, half-dressed, his face flushed behind his glasses.
For a mont, all three of them stared at each other.
Wuhen felt sothing inside him snap.
Before either of them could react, he rushed forward, grabbed Ningyan by the waist, yanked him off ishan and hoisted him over his shoulder like a sack of rice.
"Hey!! What are you doing?!" Ningyan shouted imdiately, wobbling violently as he dangled over Wuhen’s shoulder.
ishan slowly pushed himself up, giving Wuhen a flat, unimpressed look. "Go away, Yan Wuhen."
"Listen to him!" Ningyan yelled.
Then he imdiately bit Wuhen’s neck.
Wuhen hissed. But not from pain.
His grin only widened. He seed to enjoy it.
"Let down!" Ningyan demanded, kicking wildly.
"I’m trying to rescue you," Wuhen said cheerfully, stepping back while still holding him.
ishan slowly stood up. His glasses glinted faintly.
His eyes behind them were glowing dangerously.
"Rescuing him from what?" he asked coldly.
"From ruining his life because of you," Wuhen replied smugly.
"Shut up!" Ningyan yelled. "I’m trying to consummate my marriage!"
He kicked Wuhen repeatedly in the back and chest.
Wuhen only grunted and smiled.
ishan, however, was clearly seconds away from tearing him apart.
A deep frown appeared on his usually calm face as his aura began to rise again.
But just as the tension reached its peak, a pulse of demonic energy suddenly rippled through the air.
All three of them froze.
