*Roar!*
*BANG!*
"Ugh!"
Although Soren’s S-rank skill, Spirit of Zephyr, gave him high agility, he was up against monsters above double his level after all.
In no ti at all, he and Elise were overtaken, instantly engulfed by the swirling undercurrent of their montum.
Even though Soren tried flying up into the sky to save them, he realized that the sky was even more unsafe, as there were many flying monsters around.
Although they weren’t as high a level as the one he saw before, if he was spotted by even one of them, he was done for.
The only solace he found was that these monsters were really crazy.
After that fla that lit up the entire sky appeared, they cared about nothing and didn’t even bother to look at it.
But that didn’t an he was safe, as he once again got smashed against a massive tree due to being off balance.
Even being able to partially control the wind wasn’t helping much.
"Soren! A-Are you alright?"
Elise asked, biting her red lips as Soren once again saved her by pulling her soft body against his chest while his back smashed into the tree.
Then, he once again used his speed to blur between the massive monsters expertly, saving their lives.
She didn’t even know how many tis he chugged down mana potions just to maintain his skill.
How many tis he narrowly avoided death while doing so... luckily...
But it didn’t take a genius to realize that he probably couldn’t maintain this state of his any longer.
Not with the extra weight in his arm, a total burden he had to carry.
’If he didn’t have to save ...’
Elise couldn’t help but bite her red lips, her eyes moist with extre stress.
For soone who had a very good background and lived an easy life, today was a nightmare.
She didn’t even know how many tis she ca this close to getting killed.
If Soren wasn’t there, she might already be dead.
Even the asures given to her by her parents wouldn’t be able to save her in this situation.
And yet, Soren was doing everything in his power to save her.
Even though they were basically strangers, he still saved her.
Even though she wasn’t that familiar to him and he could just leave her alone, he still grabbed her waist and tried his best to navigate between countless rampaging monsters.
*Roar!*
’Why?’
Elise was confused and raised her head a bit, watching Soren’s serious face in a daze.
Just like last ti, she couldn’t help but find his aura attractive. Especially the trace of blood right at the edge of his lips that spilled out just now.
The poor guy didn’t even have ti to wipe it off since he was busy maneuvering them through the horde of monsters, finding a relatively safe space in this chaos.
Distressed, Elise couldn’t help but extend one of her hands unconsciously and wipe the blood on his face with her finger, her eyes slowly getting moist.
She couldn’t help but feel a bit emotional, thinking this might be the last mont of their lives.
And yet, the selfish her still couldn’t bring herself to tell Soren to leave her and save his own life, as this unfamiliar fear gnawed at her heart terribly.
’How pathetic!’
Elise couldn’t help but despise herself. Maybe Soren was right all along?
"Hmm?"
Feeling the soft touch on his face, Soren finally looked down in confusion, only to see the emotional Elise.
’Is she scared?’
Soren thought, seeing her slowly breaking down, her eyes focused on him tenderly.
The poor girl might be scared to death because of their situation, not to ntion the aura around them affecting her ntal strength.
She looked completely vulnerable.
To be honest, Soren felt a bit guilty as she was here just because of him.
That’s also one of the reasons why he did everything to save her. As for the other reason,

Of course, it was to complete his damn quest that only had 30 minutes left.
"Don’t worry. I am fine. A little bit of injury is nothing."
After noticing that Elise seed not to be in her normal state, Soren consoled her lightly with a smile.
*Roar!*
While simultaneously, he dodged yet another monster rushing past him at extre speed.
Contrary to what Elise thought, Soren wasn’t actually having too much trouble with the monster horde.
For once, none of the monsters were actually paying attention to them at this ti, nor were they attacking.
The only issue here was their large number, extre speed, and the montum shrouding everything in his path.
Once Soren slowly got used to his S-rank passive, he could finally navigate to safety relatively easily, only being pushed into random trees occasionally, which he could endure.
Spirit of Zephyr was unlike other passives that only increase agility after all. Being one with the wind ca with its own benefits.
So, the main problem Soren faced was mana, which was being consud very rapidly.
Not to ntion the extre strain his body was going through.
’Let’s find a large monster to take a rest for a bit.’
Seeing that it might take a while for them to reach the core of the dungeon, Soren had a daring idea of resting on the back of a monster.
Since all the monsters here had a trace of dragon bloodline, their size was naturally large.
If it were a normal situation, Soren wouldn’t even dare to get close to them. But now that the situation was different, he decided to take a calculated risk.
Otherwise, if his mana ran out suddenly, he would be minced into at paste without even a yelp.
Even the effect of the Crimson Queen Lash wouldn’t be able to save him.
And he was already feeling that the recovery he got from the mana potion was getting less and less.
He could still use the mana stored by his unique skill, Core Infusion, but there wasn’t much left after fighting those Bumblebees just before.
So he had to hurry.
