Elise bit her red lips, rembering that incident in the forest where Soren kissed Aurelia before.
Clearly, he already had soone in his life.
In truth, she was just an incidental mistake that he made to save her life.
She wasn’t stupid.
She, of course, knew about the ’ntal Resonance’ that saved her ntal power from collapsing.
She also knew Soren did all those things just to save her.
So, she was sowhat afraid... afraid that Soren would refuse to look at her. Afraid that her hope would get quashed the mont she t him again.
She wanted to et Soren, yet she was afraid of the consequences.
Poor Elise, she had never felt such a whirlpool of emotions ever.
"Hey, Elise, you do know that we are twins, right? Do you think you can lie to in my face?"
Just as Elise was confused by the strange, unfamiliar feelings stirring in her heart, Elara suddenly spun her around, throwing the blanket off completely.
"Sister, what are you holding back from ? With how close we are, do you really need to conceal anything?"
Elara asked, clearly hurt.
They were twins after all. They were born together, brought up together, and they even fought together.
Never in her life had she ever seen her sister hide anything from her like this.
’Just what happened in the dungeon that she is this adamant in hiding it from ?’
Elara bit her lips. To be honest, she wanted to ask Soren directly today, but seeing how out of focus her sister was, she stayed to take care of her.
But she would definitely ask tomorrow.
For now, let’s see if her sister will open up to her.
"Wha-? I am not lying."
Unfortunately, Elise dodged her eyes once again, refusing to cooperate. In the end, Elara finally threatened directly with a stern look.
"Sister, I have known you from the day you were born. I can tell whether you are lying or not with my eyes closed."
Elara crossed her arms in anger, then declared,
"Fine, don’t say Elise. I will just ask Soren tomorrow. I don’t think he will dare lie to ."
She said, before leaning on the bed, intending to sleep, only to be stopped by Elise all of a sudden,

Surprisingly, the mont she said those words, Elise reacted strongly and grabbed her shoulder, startling her.
"I-I an, don’t disturb him. He did save my life so many tis inside after all."
Elise also realized that she had reacted too strongly and spoke awkwardly as she released her hand from her sister’s shoulder.
Unfortunately for her, Elara already noticed sothing was wrong from her reaction as she raised her eyebrow curiously.
"Didn’t you say you fainted shortly after entering the dungeon? How did you know how many tis he saved you?"
She asked again a bit strongly, only to see an embarrassed look on her sister.
"U-Um... I an, I guessed?"
Elise tried, only to see her sister’s dangerous look, making her fidget.

"..."
For a mont, both of them went silent and looked at each other, the pressure piling up more and more.
In the end, Elise finally couldn’t take it anymore and relented while sprawling on her bed exhaustedly,
"Fine, fine. I was lying, okay. I didn’t faint imdiately. I was awake the entire ti we were chased by those damn Drakes through the entire forest. I rember how Soren saved my life and how I was unable to do anything at all."
"In fact, the reason I didn’t want to tell you is that I was embarrassed... how, despite being in the sa batch as him, I was completely useless. Ah... I feel so pathetic."
Elise complained, before turning over, as if she were trying to hide herself from the world.
Only, Elara didn’t seem to take her words completely.
Rather, after hearing her, she beca even more interested, as she asked Elise again, full curiosity in her eyes,
"You aren’t saying everything, right? Sister, what happened inside? Why don’t you narrate from the mont you entered the dungeon? Did Soren do anything to you? Why are you feeling restless all day today?"

And her being able to tell whether she lied or not only made the situation worse for Elise.

Elise imdiately tried to deny it, only to realize it was too late as she saw the knowing smile on her sister’s face, clearly enjoying her reaction.
For a mont, Elise felt that this night would be a very long and exhausting one for her.
