"Is Aria... pregnant?"
Evan couldn’t believe what he just heard from outside the tent.
To be honest, just now, he, Sylvia, and Aurelia were going to et Soren to learn about the Abyss.
Although it was a dangerous place, as a hunter, Evan couldn’t deny that he was interested. Not only him, but Sylvia and Aurelia were too.
In fact, they even wanted to invite Aria, but didn’t see her in her tent, only to find her here, pressed beneath Soren.
If not for her scream just now prompting them to hurriedly enter Soren’s tent, he would have never known their relationship had gone this far.
’Wait a minute... if Aria is pregnant, then what about Sylvia?’
Evan suddenly thought in dread, swiftly turning his head toward his ex-crush, only to see her glaring at him furiously.
"Evan... are you stupid? Why would she be pregnant?"
Sylvia directly cursed in anger, making Evan flinch.
This was the first ti he was scolded by Sylvia like this. Just...
’Why is she angry at ? It is Soren who did it.’
Evan felt it was a bit unfair and glared at Soren instead, who was looking at him embarrassedly.
Aria, on the other hand, was already pitch red, fidgeting nervously while looking down the entire ti.
She never thought soone was hearing her jokes outside.
Although her timidity had sowhat dissipated these days, it was still embarrassing. Especially since Evan was on the team this ti.
She felt like she couldn’t even show her face to anyone now.
’So embarrassing. It’s all Soren’s fault.’
She directly blad Soren, conveniently, while hiding behind him the entire ti, as if they were a couple caught having an affair.
To be honest, looking at Aurelia and Sylvia’s dark faces, it did look like that.
"Haha... no, she isn’t pregnant or anything, Evan. We were just kidding around, that’s all."
Soren saw the dark atmosphere around and quickly replied to Evan. He didn’t want anyone to misunderstand.
’Yeah, yeah... I believe you.’
Only, looking at the doubt on Evan’s face, it didn’t seem like he believed him.
"By the way, what are you guys doing here anyway?"
Soren didn’t care to convince him, though.
Rather, he looked at them puzzledly and asked.
To be honest, this incident wouldn’t have happened if Frost were here. Unfortunately, he left the camp to train in the forest, excited to use the new skill he had learned.
"Do you need anything from ? Or is it about the Abyss?"
Soren was smart enough to quickly change the topic as he slowly left the tent, signaling them to follow.
His small tent was too cramped to host so many people at the sa ti. Another reason to buy a portable tent from Owen, it seed.
"Yeah... you guessed it. We want to know what the Abyss is like and how powerful it is. To be honest, looking at Professor Ruther’s death, I thought you were done for."
Evan was also a bit scared of Sylvia’s anger, so he directly helped Soren change the topic.
"Of course, I am glad that you ca out just fine."
He then gave a firm nudge to Soren’s shoulder with a genuine smile.
Although he had so complaints about Soren’s scumbag behavior, as a friend and a fellow hunter, he had full respect for him.
Even now, he was training hard day and night in the club just so he could compare to Soren’s power.
And truth be told, with all the rapid improvents and the epiphany he experienced these days, he felt that he was quite close.
Too bad their classes were different, and he couldn’t just spar with Soren.
He was pumped for their next dungeon expedition, though.
"Abyss... huh?"
Soren saw that both Sylvia and Aurelia went quiet and thought they weren’t going to press him about this matter right now.
Maybe they didn’t want to in front of Evan. He didn’t know, nor was he complaining.
Rather, he solemnly gave a warning to everyone instead,
"I suggest you guys never enter the Abyss so easily, even if you get a chance. That is the most dangerous place in this world."
A dungeon wasn’t inherently dangerous for a hunter in the sense that it was tiered.
Even if it was a rank B or higher dungeon, it was divided into multiple floors, ranging from easy to great difficulty.
The strongest monsters wouldn’t suddenly co to the lower floors.
But the Abyss seed different.
At least, after eting Lilith directly on the 10th floor, Soren felt so.
A place where a Demon Lord-like existence could co at you at any ti. Not to ntion that eerie Red Moon shining above.
To be honest, Soren would never enter that place again anyti soon. And he didn’t want his friends to enter either.
"Oh? Is it so dangerous? What makes you think so?"
Evan raised his eyebrow at Soren’s solemn warning, finding that there was more to it. The sa was true for the other girls as they looked at him worriedly.
"Just a feeling, nothing else."
But Soren didn’t elaborate further. Rather, he suddenly waved his hand, taking out a shiny mana ring from his inventory instead.
"For the Abyss, I just want you all to stay as far away as possible. But for the dungeon, we can still conquer it."
After taking out the mana ring, Soren once again pulled a token from his inventory.
D-rank Clearance Token.
The item he got from Darius after winning the competition. Well, to be honest, it was won by their team.
That’s why Soren didn’t want to enter the D-rank Dungeon, Howling Chasm, alone, even if he was fully capable of it.
Rather, he decided to level up his teammates instead.
But for that to happen efficiently, he needed to gear them up first.
Fortunately for him, his order was completed by Isolde, and all the artifacts were ready.
"Before that, though...let’s upgrade our weapons first, shall we?"
