In an instant, it lost yet another two mbers of its pack.
Unlike what it thought, Evan and Aurelia didn’t co to save the archer. Instead, they took the chance to kill it’s brethren.
*Roar!*
The anger at being outplayed and the fury over losing its pack mbers drove the leader completely mad, as its whole body began to sprout darkness, sweeping over everyone.
The endless murderous intent began to surge so endlessly that it seed ready to materialize.
*Swish!*
Yet the team before it didn’t show any sign of panic.
After killing one wolf, Evan directly moved to its front, trading blow for blow with a monster higher than him by five levels.
anwhile, Aria directly summoned yet another Golem, proving its efforts useless.
Aurelia continued to use her fiery spells to dispel the darkness, while Sylvia nullified all debuffs from the berserk monster.
*Tempest Arrow!*
And Soren...
...he began to kill those Phantom Wolves one by one with absolute precision, unnerved by the roaring wolf behind him, glaring with murderous intent.
Heck, he even helped Evan at tis with his S-rank skills, keeping the leader at bay.
Looking at the fight now, this battle was a glaring mistake...
A mistake on the Phantom Wolves’ part.
Of course, due to its high level, it had managed to encircle Soren’s team before they could react.
If it were any other team, even saving a mber’s life would have been hard.
But Soren’s team were those who had dared to purge an entire E-rank survival dungeon before.
re high level couldn’t deter them, nor could the encirclent.
With the number of battles they had gone through, they were so in sync that before the leader could even recall its brethren, it found itself all alone, helpless, and severely wounded.
Clearly, Evan had learned yet another sword-related skill, one level higher than his class rank.
His excellence was already beginning to show.
If not for its high agility, he himself would have been enough to kill it completely.
*Growl!*
*Arcane Volley!*
But with Soren now free, even that high agility was not enough to save its life.
*Roar!*
In the end, the leader let out a loud roar before abruptly stopping, its massive head severed from its neck by a streak of sword light, rolling heavily on the ground.
*Thud!*
For a mont, silence ensued, and brightness returned to this part of the forest while everyone breathed heavily, totally exhausted.
This battle, fought in just a few minutes, was more tiring than their previous dungeon runs.
Although they had shown absolute dominance from the beginning, one mistake and their formation would have collapsed.
Yet, they had managed to co out on top.
"Hah... damn, that was scary. I thought we were done for this ti. Where the heck did they co from?"
Finally, the silence was broken by Sylvia’s heavy gasp.
Currently, she was standing right in the middle of the Golem formation, surrounded by the devastation of the battlefield, all safe and sound.
Her figure remained pristine and clean, without a drop of sweat on her forehead.
"...."
For a mont, everyone looked at Sylvia in silence, a bit speechless.
"Hey, why are you giving that look? Do you think I’m not exhausted just because I didn’t directly fight?"
Sylvia, of course, saw their looks and pouted aggressively, her face looking cute.
"Do you know how much mana it consus to cast healing and buff spells to nullify that debuff from a higher-rank enemy?"
She began to complain, causing Soren to roll his eyes and ignore her.
Instead, he faintly spoke,
"Don’t rest yet. Let’s collect the body and leave this place. The sll of blood might attract other monsters," Soren warned.
Unlike in the dungeon, unless you possessed a specific skill like "Butcher," the monster wouldn’t drop loot outside.
Fortunately, they could still take the body into their inventory and give it to a professional for harvesting.
Although this thod was highly inefficient compared to the dungeon, it was still better than nothing.
Once Soren gave the warning, he and Evan began collecting the bodies, while Aurelia and Aria continued maintaining the formation on high alert.
After the incident last ti, they had clearly beco more cautious.
Even Soren didn’t put aside his bow, ready to shoot in ergencies.
Fortunately, nothing happened during the entire ti as they swept the battlefield.
Until Soren walked near the decapitated body of the leader wolf.
’It is so big...will its body even fit in the inventory?’
He wondered, as he really didn’t know about the size capacity of his inventory.
He only knew that currently, it had 30 slots, which might increase later with his levels.
’Forget it, let’s just try. If it didn’t work, I can just cut it into two.’
Soren put aside random thoughts and placed his hand on the belly of the Phantom Wolf, intending to store it, when suddenly Evan shouted from the side.
"Soren... MOVE!"
*Swish!*
The mont he shouted aloud, Soren found sothing huge shadowing over his head in an instant.
Fortunately, he was alert all the ti.
As soon as he heard Evan, he triggered his skill Eagle Reflex, shifting his body into an unusual posture.
*Bang!*
And his choice was flawless, as the dark claw whipped past him with terrifying force before slamming into the Wolf’s body, ripping half of it apart without rcy.
The force was so grueso that Soren was directly splattered with blood and gore while he looked at the dark claw, so familiar to him, in horror.
After all, those claws belonged to the sa Wolf that he was just about to collect in his inventory.
How could he not be shocked when he found a dead wolf, whose head had already been decapitated, swinging its huge claw to kill him just now?
Did this even make sense?
For a mont, everyone froze, shocked.
The only good thing here was that Soren no longer needed to worry about inventory space, as the wolf conveniently split into two by itself.
