“Ning Chu, help your sister with her howork. Check it once she’s done.”

“Got it~”

After lunch, Black Bean dragged a little stool over and sat by the coffee table. Holding a pencil in her right hand, she stared at her workbook with a troubled frown.

Why does a clueless, innocent little cat like have to do howork too? she thought miserably.

But truth be told, Black Bean was a quick learner. Back when she was still a cat, she’d already learned to copy Ning Chu—like jumping up to try and open doors (though she was too small to reach the doorknob). Now that she was a cat girl, it had only taken her a few months to master second-grade material. She was already starting on third-grade math, like periter calculations.

Ning Chu had thought teaching her howork would be a blood-pressure-raising ordeal, but to her surprise, aside from the handwriting—which was pretty awful, more like chicken scratch—everything else was fine.

“Maybe I should get you so calligraphy practice sheets,” Ning Chu muttered as she sat behind Black Bean.

“I already started practicing!” Black Bean replied proudly.

Ning Chu gave her a head-pat in approval. “Finish your howork, and I’ll treat you to milk tea!”

“Okay!”

While helping Black Bean, Ning Chu’s eyes wandered to the dining table.

Her mother was resting her chin on one hand, her gaze fixed on the uncle with a soft, gentle smile in her eyes. The uncle was sipping white liquor, eating leftovers, and venting to her mom about work problems.

With the siblings gone from the table, the uncle seed to relax a lot more. His voice had gotten louder, and he was complaining freely—mostly about how he didn’t have enough money to pay his workers.

From what Ning Chu overheard, the client hadn’t paid the final portion of the project fee. The holidays were coming up, and the uncle was scrambling to gather money to pay his workers on ti.

Her mom didn’t say much to comfort him. She just sat there smiling, pouring him drinks now and then, listening quietly.

The whole scene at the table felt... surprisingly warm and dostic.

“Sis! I’m done! Can you check it now?”

Black Bean tugged at Ning Chu’s sleeve, pulling her attention back.

Ning Chu picked up a red pen and glanced over the workbook. “Hey, this is pretty good!”

“Of course it is!” Black Bean proudly lifted her chin.

“You’re not just a bottomless pit for food after all~ Any more howork?”

“I have to morize a reading passage, but Dad’s being too noisy.”

Ning Chu didn’t really mind Black Bean calling the uncle “Dad”—as long as she didn’t call her “Mom,” things would stay in order.

“Go read in Mom’s room, and co back once you’ve morized it.”

“Okay~”

As she watched Black Bean trot off with her tail swaying behind her, Ning Chu stretched and headed to the spare bedroom.

Her brother Ning Yuan was lying on the bed playing with his phone. She gave him a glance, then closed the door and sat down at the computer.

“Bro, why do you always look so tired? You got kidney problems or sothing?”

“Try to wake up at 7:30 and work non-stop until 9 p.m. every single day. You’d be dead tired too,” he sighed. “On my days off, I don’t even want to get out of bed. I’m so drained. I bought a bunch of gas but don’t even have the energy to play.”

“Hmm... then let use your account? I’ll play them for you~”

“...”

Ning Yuan turned over and ignored her, eyes still on his phone.

“Stingy~”

Ning Chu mumbled as she opened the computer, resting her chin in her palm as she looked for a video to watch.

Wonder what Wen Yang had for lunch… Has he started looking for a job?

She didn’t ssage him, though. It had only been a couple hours since they’d parted. She didn’t want to co off as clingy—like she couldn’t go a minute without her boyfriend.

“Ning Chu, you…”

She heard her brother speak up behind her.

“Yeah?”

His tone was hesitant. After a brief pause, he awkwardly looked away and said:

“You may be an adult now, but this is your first relationship. Don’t be stupid and just hand everything over... or you’ll really regret it later.”

Ning Chu imdiately got what he ant.

He was telling her not to give herself away so easily—not emotionally, and definitely not physically. He was worried that Wen Yang would take advantage of her.

Even though her brother knew she was a succubus, he still clearly saw her as his little sister—maybe even still thought of her as his little brother.

“I know, I’m not stupid.”

“Yeah... you’re not stupid.”

“I used to be a guy, rember? If anyone knows what guys are like, it’s .”

Ning Chu turned and shot her brother a glare. But right after speaking, her expression shifted to sothing a bit... odd. Her gaze toward Ning Yuan suddenly grew wary.

Wait a minute—he’s a man too...

“Hey! What kind of look is that?!” Ning Yuan shouted, already feeling sothing was off.

“I rember back in high school, you used to always tell you were a siscon after watching that ani...”

“Damn it, I can tell the difference between reality and ani, alright?!”

Flustered, Ning Yuan sat up and cursed out loud.

It was true—plenty of guys online call themselves “siscons,” but in real life, if they actually had a younger sister they grew up with, they’d mostly find her annoying and exhausting. Any hint of strange thoughts would be out of the question.

But the problem here was: Ning Chu wasn’t his biological sister. To Ning Yuan, she was more like a “fall-from-the-sky” little sister...

And considering Wen Yang’s firsthand experience, spending extended ti in close quarters with a succubus could stir up all kinds of biological and pervy thoughts—thanks to the constant release of pheromones.

Right now, the windows and door were all shut tight. That ant the succubus aura was at full strength.

Ning Chu definitely didn’t want to end up in so gross “can’t leave until you have sex ‘x’ number of tis” kind of scene.

“Get out!” she said firmly, pointing at the door with a serious little face. “From now on, you’re not allowed in this room.”

Ning Yuan’s face turned red with anger. “This was my room in the first place!”

“Not anymore. As of yesterday.” Ning Chu shot him a flat look. “I’m trying to keep your brain from going down bad paths. A little distance is better for both of us.”

“You’re insane!”

Ning Yuan stord out, furious. The mont he was out the door, he heard the unmistakable click of the lock turning behind him.

That just made him angrier.

He understood the reasoning, sure—but the way Ning Chu had looked at him, like he was a thief or worse, really pissed him off.

“Fighting again?” their mom asked, having heard the commotion from the bedroom. She turned her attention away from the uncle and looked at her eldest son. “You’re both adults now. Can’t you cut your sister so slack?”

Ning Yuan collapsed onto the couch, all the fire gone from him. “So now I don’t even have a bedroom in my own ho? Gotta sleep on the floor now?”

“Well, there are more people in the house lately~” their mom said with a teasing smile. “You’re not ho that often anyway. Just make do for a bit. Once your sister starts school again, you can have the room back. It’s only a month.”

“Feels like I was adopted.”

His mother dramatically covered her mouth. “Oh no! How did you find out?!”

“Cut it out.”

. . . . . .

anwhile, inside the bedroom, Ning Chu was very relieved she’d kicked Ning Yuan out when she could.

She’s curled up in the bed, her teeth clenched down on her lips, and is trying hard not to make a sound. Her eyes had lost focus, shimring faintly with moisture.

Her whole body burned hot. Her skin flushed a vivid pink, her breaths heavy and labored.

After holding it in for a long ti, she finally let out a deep sigh.

But even with all that effort, the heat in her body wouldn’t subside. Her mind was still filled with lusty, chaotic thoughts.

She pulled out her phone and sent a ssage:

“Wen Yang, forget job hunting. Co back to the apartnt. It’s urgent.”

Then she sat up abruptly, straightened her rumpled clothes, lowered her head, and hurried out of the room.

“Mom, I’m heading out. I’ll be back tonight.”

“Where are you going? We still have so seafood left—want to save you so?”

“Yeah, keep it. I’ll make seafood noodles later.”

She opened the door and was hit with the cool hallway breeze, which sobered her up a little.

Still, she let out a long, helpless sigh.

I’m really slipping...

I used to be able to hold it for at least three instant arousal... now I can’t even manage one.
