Maybe because she had already ntally prepared herself, Ning Chu didn’t feel much panic or nervousness when her horns actually started growing in.
Her hands were just a little too itchy—she kept wanting to touch them, lightly tapping and rubbing them, feeling that strange sensation coming from the tips. She imagined what she would look like in the future with a pair of little Ganyu-like horns on her head.
Probably… kind of cute?
Once she got used to it, she’d probably stop poking at them all the ti.
Sitting sideways on the seat behind Wen Yang, Ning Chu wrapped her arms tightly around his waist, resting her body against his back while watching the shopfronts slide past on the street.
The shared electric scooter wasn’t very fast, but compared to the buses that stopped every now and then, the trip to school still took about twenty minutes—over twenty, sotis close to thirty.
Nearly half an hour later, they stopped at the road by the school gate.
Wen Yang pulled off his mask, exhaled a long puff of white breath, pushed the bike into a corner, and muttered, “I’m freezing to death.”
“Should we buy thicker masks next ti?”
“Or maybe next ti we can leave earlier and take the bus?” he suggested helplessly as he looked back at her.
“I feel like the scooter is more comfortable…”
Ning Chu really didn’t like packed buses. Even though nothing bad had happened yet, this was still a hentai world—who knew if she’d bump into so pervert or creep.
Even if another man just brushed her hand, she’d feel disgusted.
“Alright, fine,” Wen Yang said with a soft smile, shaking his head. “We’ll ride the scooter to class from now on. It’ll warm up in a bit anyway.”
He almost never went against Ning Chu’s preferences—even though riding a scooter in the middle of winter was honestly torture.

They’d already eaten breakfast, and it wasn’t long before classes started, so once they entered the campus, they headed straight toward the teaching building.
But from a distance, on the main path leading to the building, Ning Chu spotted a row of students standing in formation.
With just one glance, she imdiately recognized the student council vice president among them—Guo Guo.
She cautiously grabbed Wen Yang’s sleeve and stared alertly toward the group. In a low voice, she asked, “Are they waiting to block you?”
“It’s probably so kind of inspection.”
“Really?”
“I think they ntioned it in yesterday’s eting… Sothing about not bringing food in or wearing slippers in the teaching area.”
“Who even wears slippers in the middle of winter?”
Her complaint wasn’t even finished before a lazy, teasing voice sounded behind her.
“What a coincidence~”
She turned around and saw Zhang Shaoqing swaggering over with his hands stuffed in his pockets, wearing a pair of flip-flops, shoulders slightly hunched. Behind him followed Wang Jie, looking as honest and harmless as ever.
“…There really is soone.”
So this was exactly the kind of delinquent the student council was targeting?
Zhang Shaoqing noticed her strange look and lowered his head to check his outfit. “What?”
“They’re checking for slippers up ahead,” Wen Yang reminded him.
“Oh~ It’s fine. I’ll just slip through.”
Ning Chu couldn’t care less whether Zhang Shaoqing wore slippers or not. What she did care about was the shaless woman who kept drooling over Wen Yang.
After the four of them grouped up and continued toward the teaching building, Ning Chu instinctively tightened her hold on Wen Yang’s arm, her gaze fixed warily on Guo Guo in the inspection line.
Considering that they are in public, she probably wouldn’t dare do anything too bold… right?
“Stop!”
Guo Guo suddenly pointed in Ning Chu’s direction, startling her so much that her fight-or-flight reflex kicked in instantly.
Damn! Is she really going to try and steal my man in front of everyone?!

“That one! No slippers allowed in the teaching building!”
Only then did Ning Chu realize Guo Guo wasn’t pointing at her—but at soone behind her.
She turned her head and saw Zhang Shaoqing trying to hide behind her and Wen Yang, shrinking back as if their bodies could block the student council's view. But he’d still been caught.
“You can’t enter until you go back and change your shoes.”
Guo Guo marched forward with full authority, hands on her hips. She secretly peeked at Wen Yang, only to turn her face away in embarrassnt as her cheeks went red.
She didn’t even put Ning Chu in her eyes at all!
Seeing that flirtatious, lovestruck expression on the girl’s face, Ning Chu was so angry she nearly hopped in place. With a huff, she dragged Wen Yang away.
Wang Jie quickly sidestepped around Zhang Shaoqing, abandoned him without hesitation, and hurried after Ning Chu and Wen Yang.
“Hey! You three are just gonna ditch like this?!”
Zhang Shaoqing was panicking. He looked down at his flip-flops, then at the student council mbers blocking the way. If he went back to change shoes now, he’d definitely be late… and if he was already going to be late, he might as well just go back to the dorms and play gas.
Thinking it through, he suddenly didn’t feel so rushed anymore.
“Fine, fine, don’t let in then~ What’s the big deal?”
The mont they stepped into the classroom, the bell rang.
The unfamiliar lecturer didn’t even look up and imdiately started calling nas. He clearly didn’t care whether students answered for each other—he marked a check as long as he heard soone say “Here.”
“Ning Chu.”
“Here!”
After roll call, Ning Chu leaned toward Yan Xinya and whispered, “I grew horns.”
The wolf girl was busy brushing her big fluffy tail, and after only a few strokes, the brush was already covered in a thick layer of fur.
Wolves were basically like dogs—shedding twice a year, each session lasting half a year.
Hearing Ning Chu’s words, she lifted her gaze from her tail, though her hands kept working. Her eyes landed on Ning Chu’s head. “I don’t see anything.”
“They’re covered by my hair. They’re only tiny right now.”
“Why do you sound like you’re bragging to ?” Yan Xinya flicked her wolf ears and turned toward Lily. “Look at her, then look at you! You don’t even have a steering wheel! So succubus you are!”
Ning Chu also looked up at Lily, feeling a strange wave of pride. She straightened her back even more.

Even though she was still pretty uncomfortable with the idea of having a “steering wheel” herself, Lily not having one definitely made it feel like sothing worth showing off for once.
“Tch.”
Lily lowered her head and kept playing on her phone, ignoring both of them.
Yan Xinya leaned over to peek at her screen, then burst into laughter. “Lily~ It’s fine if you don’t have one, but why’d you buy a fake one?”
“……”
“Besides, you don’t even have a boyfriend. No one’s going to drive that steering wheel of yours. It’s just decoration~”
Lily took a deep breath. “I’ll definitely have one soday!”
“With your personality?” The wolf girl rolled her eyes. “You can’t even talk to n—you hide behind and peek at them from afar. The guys chasing after you could line up from our dorm to the school gates, but you don’t like a single one.”
“Go away.”
Lily wasn’t afraid of n, she was just socially anxious.
In front of people she wasn’t familiar with, she always acted like an aloof cool goddess, barely managing a single sentence.
“Ning Chu! Let feel what your horns are like!”
Ning Chu was still watching the two bicker and didn’t expect Yan Xinya to suddenly turn the spotlight onto her.
She froze for a mont, but the wolf girl had already reached toward her head.
“Don’t—”
She tried to dodge, but Yan Xinya’s hand had already brushed against her tiny horns.
A jolt of tingling numbness shot from the horn straight down her spine, making her whole body turn limp.
It wasn’t as overwhelming as when Wen Yang touched her, but it was enough to drain her strength. Her upper body collapsed onto the desk, and she could only glare up at the wolf girl with a mix of sha and anger.
“Ohh~ The reaction is just like grabbing soone’s tail! Your horns have nerve endings in them?”
“They feel like jade~”
Yan Xinya exclaid in amazent. Lily perked up, looking eager to touch them too.
Ning Chu viciously grabbed the wolf girl’s big fluffy tail.
“OW!”
Yan Xinya yelped, jumping up on reflex, and suddenly the entire class turned to stare at her.
