Lin Li walked in with a small bag in hand, her fiery-red fox tail swaying behind her hips. Her narrow foxy eyes swept over the three with suspicion.
“What kind of shady stuff are you watching?”
“You scared to death.” Yan Xinya let out the breath she was holding. “Lock the door.”
“Ning Chu’s here too? What are you looking at that’s so interesting?” Lin Li set her handbag on the table, took off her fox-fur scarf, and turned to ask, “Why aren’t you with your boyfriend? What are you doing here?”
“…”
Ning Chu couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge the fox girl.
“On my way back just now, I saw Wen Yang talking to so girl I don’t recognize.”
Ning Chu reflexively tried to stand up, but when the chair screeched sharply against the floor, she realized what she was doing. Half-risen, she plopped back down, crossed her legs, folded her arms over her stomach, and snorted dismissively:
