Now reading: Chapter 88 from Trapped in Paradise, a Gender bender novel by 悲殇的秋千.

The dorm door opened once more, and Wang Jie turned over groggily on his bed, feeling like the dorm was unusually noisy today.

Wen Yang rushed to Ning Chu’s side, holding a plastic bag and moving quickly while asking, “Shaoqing, when did you get back?”

“Just a few minutes ago. Where’s that Montmorillonite powder? Where did you put it?”

“You’ve got an upset stomach? It’s in the bottom cabinet.”

“Ning Chu’s the one with the stomach pain.”

“He…” Wen Yang hesitated, then changed his answer. “He has a stomachache. Montmorillonite powder is for diarrhea; it’s no use.”

Zhang Shaoqing understood and teased as he watched Wen Yang mix hot water and brown sugar, “Is Ning Chu having his period? Why did you get him brown sugar water?”

“It works for stomachaches too.”

Ning Chu weakly agreed, “Yeah.”

It’s said that brown sugar water can relieve nstrual pain, but he vaguely rembered reading sowhere that its effect was not much different from glucose water—essentially just replenishing energy.

So, Wen Yang hadn’t even asked about the nature of his pain!

What if it was really diarrhea?

How could Wen Yang just assu it was a stomachache?

Brown sugar water is more commonly used when comforting a girlfriend with nstrual pain!

Ning Chu looked up suspiciously, only to see the brown sugar water being pushed against his lips.

Wen Yang glanced down at him. “Drink.”

“Oh.” Ning Chu obediently held the cup in both hands and cautiously sipped the brown sugar water after blowing on it a few tis.

He was seriously starting to wonder if sothing was wrong with Wen Yang’s mindset.

He glanced up at Wen Yang, who was busy taking out painkillers, and couldn’t help but think.

The guy had once seriously questioned his gender, and now he seed to be treating him like a girl on her period.

Did Wen Yang already believe he was a girl?

But he was just a guy who happened to look feminine!

He still lived in the boys’ dorm, after all.

Wen Yang’s thought process was definitely ssed up!

Besides, he still had his boy parts—just, you know, smaller.

After drinking so brown sugar water and taking the painkillers, Ning Chu started feeling slightly better, whether it was due to the dicine or just psychological relief.

He turned to see Zhang Shaoqing already playing on his computer, then looked up at Wen Yang, who was standing by, watching him with an oddly gentle and concerned gaze.

It was unsettling!

What was going on?

Ning Chu couldn’t figure it out.

He had been overly controlling this whole week, constantly sticking to Wen Yang, even waiting outside the bathroom when he went.

If Wen Yang so much as spoke to a girl, Ning Chu would drag him away.

He’d stopped Wen Yang’s private lessons with Shan Shan and avoided female characters whenever they crossed paths, snatching Wen Yang away if any girl tried to speak with him.

Honestly, even he felt like a creep or a crazy yandere.

After all that, any normal guy would’ve been furious or annoyed, right? So why did Wen Yang seem to like him even more?

“Damn it, could he be a masochist…?” Ning Chu mumbled under his breath.

The novel didn’t ntion Wen Yang being into that!

As his pain subsided a little, Ning Chu’s complexion improved, but he still felt drained.

Resting his head on one hand, he listlessly clicked around on his computer while Wen Yang’s gentle gaze made him increasingly uneasy.

If things continued this way, he might need to run away.

At this rate, even if he remained a guy, he felt like he’d still end up fucked in more way than one.

Seeing Ning Chu relax slightly, Wen Yang poured another cup of hot water and asked, “Feeling better?”

“Yeah…”

“I’m heading to the cafeteria soon.”

“Go ahead. I’ll order delivery.” After being in pain all day, he didn’t have the energy to go out.

Surely nothing would go wrong just this once, right?

“Want to bring you a Coke?”

“No, I’m sick of it.” Ning Chu could tell Wen Yang was probing him.

But right now, he wouldn’t dare touch Coke.

He probably wouldn’t even wash his face with anything but warm water for the next few days.

As the dorm door closed behind Wen Yang, Ning Chu finally looked up, seeing that he was now truly alone in the dorm.

Anxiety bubbled up again, fearing that Wen Yang might get chard by so girl—or worse, charm one himself—which only added to his already anxious mood caused by the stomach pain.

Taking a deep breath, Ning Chu picked up his phone and opened a ticket-booking app.

Running away was his last resort.

In this kind of R18 world, soone like him, with his looks, was an easy target for… things better left unsaid.

Without the protagonist’s halo for protection, anything could happen: harassnt on public transport, hypnotic deliveryn, random kidnappings, or even inexplicable monster attacks…

He still rembered that brief mont at the amusent park when he was montarily separated from Wen Yang and imdiately felt several malicious gazes lurking in the shadows.

Yikes—maybe running wasn’t the best idea after all.

A shiver ran down his spine, quickly extinguishing his impulse. Perhaps he was just being paranoid, seeing danger where there wasn’t any.

Feeling sowhat cowardly, Ning Chu sighed.

Things hadn’t reached the point where he absolutely had to run.

Sure, staying in the dorm wasn’t completely safe, but running away would be a lot worse.

He was still a guy, even if barely so, and Wen Yang hadn’t outright expressed any romantic interest in him yet.

Their friendship boat was close to tipping but hadn’t fully sunk.

Plus, the novel clearly stated that his storyline wouldn’t truly kick off until he’d fully turned into a girl.

“Let’s wait and see…” he mumbled.

Just then, Zhang Shaoqing’s voice startled him. “Buying tickets? Are you going ho?”

Ning Chu jumped, turning to see Zhang Shaoqing peering nosily over his shoulder.

“There’s so stuff going on at ho… I might have to leave at any ti.” He planted the seed now, just in case he needed to make a sudden escape later.

“Oh, gotcha.” Zhang Shaoqing didn’t pay it much mind and excitedly showed Ning Chu his phone. “Wanna help hit the minimum for a discount? Spend 40 and get 5 off!”

“…”

“This place is really good, I swear!”

“Keep it down!” Wang Jie’s protest ca from the top bunk. “I’m trying to sleep here. Can’t you be quiet?”

Zhang Shaoqing, ever thick-skinned, replied with a grin, “It’s almost six! Get up and eat!”

“You’ve been so noisy I’ve been half asleep the whole ti.”

“If you sleep now, you’ll be up all night again!”

With his roommates’ banter filling the dorm, Ning Chu laid on his desk, his face full of worry, clutching his stomach and staying motionless like a salted fish.

Not yet… only when I’m fully turned into a girl, then I’ll run away.
