Deniz and I walk out of the funfair together.

The noise fades behind us—laughter, music, lights dissolving into the night. Cold air slips under my collar, brushing my skin gently, like the world reminding that this mont is real.

Near the exit, staff mbers stand in a neat line, handing red roses to couples. Confessions murmur everywhere—soft voices, shy laughs, promises spoken low. Romance hangs thick in the air.

One of the staff notices us and steps closer, smiling brightly.

He looks at Deniz.

"Sir, today is Couple Day. Give your partner this rose and confess how much you love him."

Deniz blinks.

Once.

Twice.

Before he can react, the rose is already placed in his hand. He stares at it, frozen—fingers stiff around the stem, like he’s afraid it might burn him.

Then the staff turns to , eyes warm.

"Sir, your Oga is really cute."

And he walks away.

Just like that.

Deniz turns to , panic flickering across his face. He hesitates, breath catching.

"Don’t listen to—"

"Now give ," I say calmly.

He blinks again, completely lost. I lift my hand toward the rose, palm open.

"Give the flower."

His gaze drops to the rose, then lifts back to . His voice is quiet, unsure.

"Aren’t you angry... he called you Oga?"

I step closer.

Close enough that I can feel his warmth in the cold night. I gently take the rose from his hand, my fingers brushing his for half a second longer than necessary.

"If my partner is you," I say softly, voice steady, "I’m ready to be an Oga."

His reaction is instant.

Cheeks flushing red.

Eyes widening.

Lips parting—words forming, then disappearing.

Nothing cos out.

I smile, small and satisfied.

"Let’s go."

I turn away, the rose resting carefully in my hand. The night air brushes my face, cool and clean. My chest feels light—too light. Tonight is filled with things I never planned for. This much laughter. This much warmth.

Especially with soone like Deniz.

I glance back.

He follows in silence, steps asured, cheeks still warm, eyes fixed on like he’s afraid I might vanish.

"The night is so cold," I say lightly.

He nods.

"Yes... it’s really chilling."

I rub my hands together.

"It’s freezing."

Before I can finish the thought, Deniz stops. He takes off his jacket quickly, steps closer, and drapes it over my shoulders with careful hands—gentle, almost reverent.

"You might catch a cold," he says.

I look at him.

Protective.

Sincere.

Unaware of how deeply it reaches .

A soft smile curves on my lips.

Choosing him...

I make a good decision choosing him as my life partner.

Deniz opens the car door for . I slide into the passenger seat, watching him circle the car and take the driver’s seat. The engine hums softly.

I look out the window one last ti.

The funfair glows behind us—distant now, like a dream already ending.

It was really fun.

Deniz focuses on the road. I lift the rose, inhale its scent—and then his jacket.

There’s no difference.

His scent is just like a red rose.

I lean back against the seat, the flower resting close, eyes slowly closing.

The scent is calm.

And for the first ti in a very long while—

so is my heart.

My eyes are still closed when Deniz’s voice stirs in my ears.

"Zyren... wake up. We’re here."

I slowly open my eyes, blinking against the dim car light. His jacket is still draped over , warm against my shoulders. The rose rests on my chest, my hands holding it like it’s the most precious thing in the world.

I look at Deniz, trying to rember when I fell asleep. I don’t. I only rember feeling calm... safe... so completely relaxed. I straighten and smile.

"When did we arrive?" I ask softly.

"Just now," he says. "Are you okay?"

I nod, bright smile spreading across my face.

"I just nodded off... maybe the whole day finally caught up to ."

Deniz exhales softly. "Now go and take so rest. Tomorrow you have an important eting and a new..."

I cut him off quickly.

"Deniz, we’re outside. Don’t be the strict secretary right now. Don’t talk about work—I don’t want to ruin my mood."

He looks at , surprised.

"I’m confused... you didn’t used to do this. You’re always so disciplined, so hard-working."

I pout dramatically.

"Now you think I’m lazy?"

He smiles lightly, hesitates.

"I didn’t an—"

I take off his jacket and hand it back.

"Now I’m going."

I open the door and step out. Deniz follows.

"Go ho safely," I say, my voice soft. "And rest well."

He nods.

"Good night."

"Good night," I reply.

I walk, eyes down, the red rose still resting in my hand. Then I stop. Sothing tugs at , and I turn. Deniz looks at , confused.

"Did you forget sothing...?" he starts.

Before he can finish, I take quick steps and hug him tightly.

Deniz’s eyes widen. My heart races, face pressed into his neck. I inhale deeply, murmuring against his skin,

"Thank you... for everything, Deniz."

Ti seems to stop. The world quiets. Just us. My heart beats so fast I can hear it, almost echoing in my ears.

For a mont, we stay like this, silent, warm, connected. Then I pull back and turn to leave.

"Good night," I say, not looking back.

I don’t need to. I already know—his warm face, wide eyes, red cheeks, and the soft, quiet smile that lingers in my mory.

I step into the mansion, a soft smile lingering on my lips. The servants bow and greet , but I don’t look at them. My attention is completely fixed on the red rose resting in my hand, its scent faintly lingering, calming after the long night.

Then it hits —sothing I completely forgot. Angel.

I turn to one of the servants, my voice a little sharper than I intend.

"Where’s Angel?"

She hesitates, eyes flickering down before eting mine.

"She says, ’Young Master, Angel is on his rut leave. He’s resting in the staff apartnt.’"

I blink, trying to process. "Did he... eat sothing?"

Her gaze drops again, body slightly trembling.

"I... I don’t know."

My eyes widen, disbelief and concern mixing into a rush of frustration.

"What do you an, you don’t know?"

She glances at , then quickly back down, unable to et my gaze.
