Now reading: Chapter 9: I Change The Script from Trapped in a Novel as the D-Class Alpha I Hated Most, a Yaoi novel by Meowly24.

Morning light spills warmly across my face.

I blink, slow and heavy, then open my eyes fully.

I rub at them and stretch, a quiet breath leaving my lips.

Good morning, Neon.

And Zyren my dear dood villain.

My gaze drifts up—to the ceiling, to the chandelier above . Crystal catches the sunlight, scattering it like diamonds. Everything here screams luxury. Wealth. Power.

And danger.

Every day in this body is a challenge.

Every morning is another step toward saving a stupid villain from his dood ending.

I bury my face into the pillow with a muffled groan.

Once, I cursed Zyren Kael with all my heart. Now I’m trying to rewrite his fate with my own hands.

"God..." I mumble into the sheets. "Have so rcy on ."

I wrestle with the pillows like they’re my enemies, arms tangled, frustration spilling out uselessly. Then I stop, exhaling deeply.

Fighting with pillows won’t solve anything.

Slowly, I get up.

Bare feet sink into the soft carpet as I walk toward the balcony. I slide the door open and step outside.

Cool morning air brushes against my skin—clean, refreshing. I stretch lazily, a small, genuine smile forming without noticing.

It feels... peaceful.

My eyes drift downward, drawn naturally to the garden below.

Angel is there.

Fresh flowers bloom around him as he waters them carefully. Morning sunlight clings to his golden hair, turning it into pure gold, and his pale skin looks almost unreal—like sothing precious ant to be protected.

A flower among flowers.

I smile softly.

Then—

Last night returns to in fragnts. Cake. Smile. Little talk. Exhaustion. leaning back against the couch—and then darkness. I don’t even rember when I fell asleep.

But one thing lingers.

The way his scent lingered.

Sweet. Strawberry-soft.

My throat tightens.

Neon. Control yourself.

No matter how much my instincts stir, no matter how badly my inner alpha reacts, no matter how much I want to touch him, to breathe him in, I have to ignore my inner alpha.

I promised myself sothing the mont I woke up in this body.

I will protect Angel.

No matter what.

Not touch. Not claim. Not cage.

Protect.

I take a step back into the room, shutting the balcony door behind . The cool air fades, replaced by silence and restraint.

I need a warm bath.

I need to calm my mind.

And most of all—

I need to rember why I’m here.

Not as a villain.

But as soone who refuses to let this story end the sa way.

I stand in front of the mirror, fingers adjusting my tie with practiced care.

Zyren Kael stares back at .

White-silver hair, neat and glossy.

Silver eyes—cold, sharp, beautiful in a dangerous way.

I smooth my hair once more, watching the reflection carefully.

This body belongs to now.

This beautiful, cursed body.

A faint smile curves my lips as I whisper, barely audible,

"Good luck, Neon. Let’s win another heart today... and take one more step toward becoming a good boy."

I slip into my expensive coat, fabric settling perfectly against my fra. I don’t bother with cologne. There’s no need.

My peach-blossom pheromones cling to like a second skin—soft, warm, naturally present.

...Too present.

I frown slightly.

Why does it feel stronger today?

My chest rises with a slow breath as I try to steady myself. I know this. I’ve read enough Ogaverse novels to understand.

Pheromones reflect the mind.

When an alpha is angry, they turn sharp, overwhelming—almost poisonous.

When calm... they soften. Beco gentle. Safe.

Calm yourself, Neon.

Control your thoughts. Control your scent.

I straighten my back and walk out of the room with asured steps, posture relaxed, presence restrained. The maids bow as I pass.

One of them rushes toward , stopping abruptly and bowing deeply.

"Y-young master— Master Zyke and his wife have arrived. They’re waiting at the breakfast table."

Zyke...?

Ah.

Zyren’s elder brother.

I nod calmly and continue walking.

Chapter six already, I realize. That was fast.

I rember this Chapter clearly.

Which ans—I know exactly what’s supposed to happen.

The dining room greets with soft morning light and a long table set with an extravagant breakfast. Two figures are already seated.

Zyke Kael.

Black hair, broad shoulders, posture rigid and commanding. An S-class alpha through and through—dominant even at rest.

Beside him sits his oga.

Shine.

Sky-colored hair, pale skin, delicate fra. His hands rest over a slightly rounded stomach—pregnant. Glowing softly, like soone deeply loved and well protected.

Their eyes lift as I enter.

I smile politely.

"Good morning, big brother. Good morning, sister-in-law."

Zyke freezes.

His eyes widen just a fraction—enough for to notice.

Of course. Zyren Kael has never spoken so gently.

Shine smiles warmly. "Good morning, Zyren. It’s been a long ti."

I return the smile and walk past them without hesitation, choosing the head seat of the table—far away. Deliberate. Controlled.

A maid quickly reacts, rearranging my breakfast setting in front of .

Good.

In the original story, this is where everything goes wrong.

In the novel, this breakfast scene is nothing but tension, humiliation, and violence. Zyren Kael sits too close, releases too much pheromone, hurts Shine unintentionally... and ends up beaten by his own brother.

But not today.

Distance is safety.

Awareness is survival.

I fold my hands calmly and smile again.

"Let’s begin breakfast."

And just like that—

I change the script.
