Another explosion echoed, and a small mushroom cloud rose not far away.

A powerful fusion mine, seemingly developed by the Academy, and the enemy had planted so mines in this area, causing significant losses to the team.
"Send the synthetics to attack." A voice rang out nearby, but it was unclear who said it.
Soon, a group of fully ard warriors appeared in Su Ziyu’s sight, completely disregarding the minefield, charging directly into it despite the danger. After consecutive explosions, a safe zone erged within the advancing line, and then the exoskeleton power armor squad began to push forward, closely followed by the sound of air-to-ground missile launches.

The entire team gradually penetrated into the super mutants’ defenses, and Su Ziyu’s mind flashed the Source Power Value notification.
Swoosh.
A laser shot directly hit the warrior ahead of Su Ziyu, accompanied by several red beams. The brother wearing exoskeleton power armor who had blocked many bullets for him instantly fell. In Su Ziyu’s sight appeared more than a dozen super mutants in heavy exoskeleton armor. Unlike other super mutants, they actually knew how to execute tactics, using cover fire to directly push the front line back.
These guys weren’t lacking in intelligence.
Initially, the encountered super mutants were engaging them in direct shoot-outs, seemingly wanting to see whether their modified bodies were tougher or the exoskeleton power armor was tougher.
Clearly.
They were all mowed down into a ss of flesh.
The casualties in the battle were steadily increasing, and amid the chaos, Su Ziyu spotted Zero’s figure passing swiftly through the night sky, a missile launcher on her shoulder. She pressed the launch button while still airborne, and a missile was launched directly into the cover.
"Looks like I need to exert more effort!" Su Ziyu vanished instantly from where he stood.
The strong assault hit a snag.
The opposition also had organized exoskeleton power armor troops, and those super mutants were fearless, with the Brotherhood attacking twice but failing to take down the front lines.

Su Ziyu went directly into invisibility, flying low and stealthily around the side to the rear of the battlefield, then quietly approached the super mutants’ positions.
He certainly wasn’t planning to rush in alone for a rampage.
Su Ziyu’s output capability was absolutely adequate, but in the modern technology plane, his defensive ability was far insufficient. It would be awkward if any super mutant decided to go down in flas with a bomb.
Crackle.
Arcs of electricity appeared in Su Ziyu’s palm, and at the instant he revealed himself, jumping arcs suddenly struck the super mutants in heavy exoskeleton power armor, accompanied by light blue arcs resembling chain lightning. Inside the exoskeleton power armor worn by the super mutants, sparks began to fly, followed by the sll of burning.
Suddenly, the enemy’s position went silent.
The heavy exoskeleton armor stood idle like puppets because the control equipnt inside was completely burnt out. The warriors inside were trapped in a giant lump of iron, unable to even make slight movents.
These heavy exoskeleton armors weighed one or two tons each.
Attack!
The Brotherhood reacted swiftly, unaware of why the enemy had gone silent. Nevertheless, the soldiers in exoskeleton power armor quickly charged forward.
Ratatatat.
Dense bullets poured out like a torrential storm.
To avoid friendly fire, after disabling the enemy’s exoskeleton power armor, Su Ziyu quickly retreated. These guys fought as if bullets didn’t cost money; the amount of ammunition consud in this brief mont was enough to establish one or two new settlents. In the Wasteland Era, bullet purchasing power was always robust.

Finally.
The super mutants were completely defeated.
While Su Ziyu road the battlefield collecting Source Power Values, a loud explosion sounded not far away, and a team of elite soldiers rushed into the research facility.
Nearly twenty Source Power Values were gained; many of these super mutants were contaminate.
After collecting the Source Power Values, Su Ziyu also quickly headed to the research facility’s location, where there were corpses everywhere and gunfire occasionally echoed from around, indicating there were still enemies resisting stubbornly. The main force hadn’t fully entered the research facility, seemingly worried about possible traps inside. The periphery was mostly super mutant corpses, but closer to the facility, Su Ziyu saw so normal human corpses and others who had undergone so level of chanical modification.
These were all from the Genetics Faction.
The people from the Genetics Faction only researched chanical transformation. They would retrofit super mutants with chanical limbs. Before the Academy’s civil war, both sides dabbled in each other’s research, but the people from the Genetics Faction didn’t emphasize humanoid bionic transformation.
Space Beacon.
After marking the third space beacon, Su Ziyu entered the research facility.
On the surrounding walls were patches of dried blood stains, and on the ground, uncollected bodies lay scattered. Ahead, the corridor was empty and eerily quiet, possibly due to signal issues, and the first wave that entered seed to have lost contact.
Sothing seed off.
Su Ziyu saw a corpse in a white lab coat, with a conspicuously large hole in the chest. It wasn’t damage caused by firearms; after examining this shocking wound that pierced through the chest and back, he deduced it was likely caused by so non-human creature.
"Could it be that the Genetics Faction conducted so sort of mutant experints here?" Su Ziyu murmured.
Soon.
His vision caught sight of another torn-apart corpse, while dense gunfire erupted from the right side.
The monster likely escaped!
On the ground, many blood stains had nearly solidified, aning those terrifying monsters might have escaped even before they stord the research facility.
Boom!
A muffled explosion echoed.
Su Ziyu saw a soldier wearing exoskeleton power armor retreating at the corner ahead, followed by a sinister dark red sharp tentacle piercing his body, even penetrating the steel armor and then swiftly retracting, disappearing from sight.
"Alert! Alert!"
"Contaminant detected!...Unknown spiritual wave detected!..."
Drip drip.
Slight sounds from the corridor walls hinted at so indiscernible presence. Relying solely on sound, it was impossible to identify what it was.
Thud.
A heavy fall echoed as the soldier in exoskeleton power armor fell, copious amounts of blood gushing out.
Should I pursue?
Su Ziyu hesitated montarily, then placed his finger against his ear, saying, "Attention!"
"Unknown mutant monster invaded the research facility! Extrely dangerous!"
"We need support!"
Static.
Disrupted electrical noises played; seemingly these communication devices in the research facility were entirely out of use.
What now?
Su Ziyu didn’t hesitate too long, turned around, and retraced his steps back. Soon he spotted Leon in exoskeleton power armor at the intersection and shouted loudly, "Be careful!"
"There’s a super powerful mutant in this research facility!"
"Extrely dangerous!"
Fifteen soldiers from the first wave entered the facility, three whole squads, all uniformly equipped with exoskeleton power armor, and were silently eradicated by the enemy.
It’s likely a big monster inside!
