A group of undead villagers knelt all around, and Su Ziyu could see several corpses hanging upside down. These villagers seed to have not heard the battle outside, continuing to kneel before the tree in endless worship. Their clothing, decayed and tattered, clung to their bodies, and it was unclear how long they had been kneeling here, with so even covered in thick dust.
"Alert! Alert!"
"Pollution detected!..."
Su Ziyu approached step by step. Despite the deliberate sound of his footsteps, the villagers kneeling before the great tree were entirely oblivious, seemingly ignoring everything else around them.
Pfft.
Su Ziyu casually backstabbed and eliminated one of the kneeling villagers.
The mass of undead in front of them remained unresponsive, so even allowing themselves to be killed while their cloudy, dry eyes remained fixed on the large tree ahead.
A gust of eerie wind blew past.
The fire burning in front of the dead tree flickered, and before Su Ziyu appeared a figure cloaked in a wide black cloak.
—"Skeleton Collector [Corruption] [Skeleton] [Human Pus]!"
Su Ziyu halted.
Slightly trailing behind, Sister Fried wore a grave expression, gripping her scythe tightly, saying slowly, "I didn’t see this ghostly thing last ti I ca!"
Pollution!
Su Ziyu’s gaze landed on the ground beneath the figure; he saw no feet. This monster appeared to be floating one or two centiters above the ground.
A black mask concealed its face, revealing only a pair of eyes faintly glowing red.
"Another collectible!" A low murmur sounded.
The next mont.
The monster before them swiftly closed in like a phantom, and as the wide black cloak fluttered, a spike composed of human spine bones attacked Su Ziyu’s chest.
Beneath the raised black cloak, the creature’s body consisted of a multitude of incomplete skeletons; no other human body parts existed, only skulls connected from necks to spines, forming its body like grim ornants. Its bones were also notably wide, lacking limbs or a torso, without even ribs at the chest, only rows of skulls, and spines connected like snakes, twitching slightly.
Whoa!
Finally seeing the creature’s form clearly, Su Ziyu’s heart couldn’t help but skip a beat, making him slightly fearful, nearly breaking out in a cold sweat.
What the hell is this thing!
Two skulls made up the monster’s shoulders, with entwined spines extending to form its arms, sections of pale spine writhing and interwoven, as dark red dried blood seeped into the black cloak.
Disgusting!
With a wave of his teor Longsword, Su Ziyu slashed through the creature’s body, making it montarily rigid, only for over ten pale spines targeting his head the next instant.
Seven or eight spines severed by the teor Longsword fell.
But in the next second.
They seed to co alive, writhing back into the black cloak to reconnect with the skulls inside.
So black liquid resembling pus flowed from the skulls down onto the pale spines.
