Su Ziyu narrowed his eyes slightly, his expression playful, "Are you planning a rebellion?"
"I wouldn’t dare," the Nurarihyon smiled nonchalantly, rubbing his bald head, "I just want to prepare a little more."
"Does Lord Su understand the history of Fusang?"
Su Ziyu nodded, "I know it fairly well."
"Is that so?" The Nurarihyon gestured towards the distant ruins and debris, seemingly shrouded by a barrier in the vast night, and said in a deep voice, "That place is Honnoji Temple."
"Even now, many demons are sealed there."
Honnoji Temple?
Su Ziyu closed his eyes to perceive, his spirituality sensing a powerful barrier which had been in place for a very long ti.
"The calamity of the Warring States period?" Su Ziyu said softly.
"Yes," the Nurarihyon sighed, "An era of overthrowing superiors."
"The demons weren’t at peace either."
"It was during that ti that I established the Nurari Group."
"Lord Su may not be aware?"
"During that ti, while Lord Yama was away, the Netherworld almost fell into catastrophe, with countless souls nearly devoured by demons. If I hadn’t arrived in ti with others, the Ghost Capital would have been in ruins."
At this point, the Nurarihyon paused and said, "The Netherworld isn’t Lord Yama’s alone, it’s everyone’s and the demons’ Netherworld."
"Ever since the secular imperial power of Fusang fell, Lord Yama has been wary of us demons."
"Heh."
"The eight million gods?"
"Though Lord Yama secretly supports Shintoism, he doesn’t see us demons as gods."
"Lord Su should know, right?"
"Abe no Seii was sent to guard Hell at that ti."
At this mont, the Nurarihyon’s expression carried a hint of helplessness, and he said slowly, "If Abe no Seii had still been in the Ghost Capital at that ti, those people wouldn’t have died."
"Lord Yama has changed."
"She treats the Netherworld as her possession now."
A cold wind blew past.
Upon hearing this, Su Ziyu paused in silence, then slowly said, "Yama... she is very special..."
"Whatever you plan to do, you’d better be careful."
"I’m afraid we can’t help with this matter."
During the battle to seal Orochi, too many Yin Yang Masters died.
At that ti, the Netherworld was understaffed, and Lord Yama had to transform the ghostly spirits of those Yin Yang Masters into ghost gods. At that ti, Su Ziyu had foreseen that after Abe no Seii entered the Netherworld, he might face Lord Yama’s suspicion, as during that period, the Yin Yang Masters were all led by him.
This suspicion eventually erupted in the Warring States period of overthrowing superiors.
Not only was Abe no Seii exiled, but also so demons working in the Netherworld were all removed from the power center of the Netherworld.

If there are no external threats, then Lord Yama’s approach is indeed correct; the more centralized the power of the Netherworld, the easier it is for her to manage. However, in recent years, many things have happened in the Hundred Ghosts Plane; because of past manipulations by the Nine-tailed Fox, Lord Yama did not trust the demons either, and her actions easily provoked resistance from the demons.
Supposedly, there should have been a demon rebellion during the Warring States period, but it was suppressed by the Nurarihyon.

Currently, there are three major demon forces in Fusang, the strongest naturally being Yama of the Netherworld, under whom there are many Ox-headed Ghosts and Horse-headed Ghosts, as well as so demons she deeply trusts. Secondly, there is the Nurari Group established by the Nurarihyon during the Warring States period, rumored to have over ten thousand demons within, and their influence spans both the Underworld and the Mortal World of Fusang.
The last demon force is the Peach Blossom Secret Realm led by Qing Ji.
However, Qing Ji’s power is a bit different from other demon forces; Qing Ji herself does not like power, not even interested in it.
The Peach Blossom Secret Realm’s notable position is entirely due to her nurous sisters.

That makes seven Great Demon-level existences, adding so demons who seek their protection, forming a powerful force that cannot be ignored.
The Nurarihyon’s real aim was not Su Ziyu but to gain Qing Ji’s support through him.

No matter what the Nurarihyon plans to do, overthrowing superiors or forcing Yama to cede power or changing the Netherworld’s system, any action he takes will inevitably stir up turmoil in the Ghost Capital.

Qing Ji nodded slightly, leaned on Su Ziyu’s shoulder, and said, "I understand."
"I’ll take care of my sisters."

Not long after seeing Su Ziyu and others off, the Nurarihyon led his demons near Danbo Mountain.
A small city had already been built in this Underworld.
"Lord Nurarihyon."
Accompanied by a wisp of falling snow, a woman in a blue and white kimono appeared before the Nurarihyon, and she asked softly, "Have you convinced them?"
The Nurarihyon shook his head, "It’s not that easy."
"Everything will proceed as originally planned."
"You all build the Treasure Ship as quickly as possible, I’m going to Hell for a eting with Abe no Seii."
The kimono-clad woman’s expression was sowhat hesitant, and she whispered, "Lord Nurarihyon."
"Please be extra careful with Abe no Seii."
"I heard that he’s changed a lot in Hell."
The Nurarihyon nodded, "I know."
"In a place like Hell."
"No matter who stays there long, they will change."
"Have soone keep an eye on Aoandon, watch the Hundred Tales Group’s movents."
