"Shut up! Black Elf!"
The temperature around dropped rapidly as a layer of white frost ford on the ground. The Winter Witch spoke in an icy tone, "You’re the one who’s already gone mad!"
A terrifying chill spread out.
It was as if a dreadful blizzard was about to descend, the piercing cold biting into the marrow.
After the initial shock, Su Ziyu snapped back to his senses. While carefully listening to the two people’s conversation, he stealthily moved his steps to the unicorn’s bones.
"Gained 3 Source Power Value."
The gains from the unicorn were less than expected. He initially thought that such a legendary creature might possess so Divinity Value, but he didn’t expect the Source Power Value obtained was even less than that from a Super Mutant.
"Yes! I’ve long gone mad!" Jack laughed hysterically, swinging his arms exaggeratedly as he pointed to everything around, "Look at all this! They’re all dead! Completely dead!"
"How much longer are you going to deceive yourself?"
"The Dream Forest has long withered! We are all living in the nightmare woven by it!"
The Winter Witch’s emotions gradually lost control as she murmured with her head lowered, "No... No... It’s not true... It’s all fake! There must still be a way... My sisters’ sacrifice won’t be in vain..."
Su Ziyu stealthily moved his steps.
"Gained 1 Source Power Value."
After his body quietly touched the Sumr Witch, the Source Power Value gained made Su Ziyu frown slightly. This value was pitifully low, even sowhat unreasonable. The Sumr Witch was the Guardian Witch here, and if she had truly been corrupted into a monster, the Source Power Value she provided should have been far more than just this little bit.
"Do you really think they sacrificed themselves to fight that terrifying monster?" A chilling and sinister smile appeared on Jack’s lips as he stared at the Winter Witch, "Even if you’ve gone mad, you couldn’t possibly forget everything."
"Exactly."
"You abandoned your own body, letting it beco a monster wandering in the wilderness."
At this point, Jack looked like a devil whispering madness, saying in a bewitching voice, "You killed them!..."
"No!" The Winter Witch scread, muttering, "It’s not true... I didn’t... It wasn’t ..."
Jack’s skin visibly darkened, and with a wave of his hand, black, sharp nails flashed with a chilling light. In an instant, this Great Elf exuded an aura not less than that of a Super Mutant. He plunged his hand into the ground, and as countless patches of soil rolled like waves, nurous and varied-sized skeletal remains appeared before them, seemingly buried for a long ti. Among these bones were many elf-sized creatures, so humanoid forms the size of Su Ziyu’s palm, as well as plenty of strange remains he couldn’t identify.
"Do these remind you of anything?"
Jack’s eyes were filled with malice as he said, "Still can’t rember? Want to help you recall!"
Bang!
Jack’s words seed to have greatly stimulated the Winter Witch, whose originally pale face started to distort, filled with endless regret and pain. With the loss of emotional control, a terrifying streak of magic began to rage, and the power of ice spread from her center outwards in all directions. The dark clouds in the sky rolled continually, as if a dreadful snowstorm was about to arrive.
But at that mont, Su Ziyu suddenly raised his gun and pulled the trigger aid at Jack’s head.
"Alert! Alert!"
"Detected Malicious Pollution Entity!... Detecting Mind Suggestion anomaly!..."
"Issued mission: Eliminate the Malicious Pollution Entity."
"Mission reward: Authority Level upgrade! Unlock so Spiritual Enhancent paths!"
Bang bang bang.
A series of dull gunshots rang out.
When the first bullet eerily stopped and floated in front of Jack, Su Ziyu quickly pulled out his modified pistol from the waist and fired continuously. This pistol had a 20-bullet capacity, and the first seventeen bullets all stopped eerily before falling to the ground, as if an invisible barrier blocked them all. However, the last three bullets seed to break through that invisible barrier, suddenly blooming into three blossoms of blood on Jack’s forehead, heart, and neck.
Though he successfully hit the target, Su Ziyu’s attack was not over.
He knew well that a Super Mutant Level monster wasn’t so easy to kill. Everything here seed like a dark fairy tale, and he wasn’t sure if he’d have the chance to act again if he let this opportunity slip.
— "Ti Acceleration!"
In a mont, Su Ziyu threw away the pistol and pulled out the black short blade from his waist. Everything around seed to turn into a fra-by-fra slow-motion movie, and his whole body transford into a shadow that flashed past. The light of the blade slicing through the darkness fell upon Jack’s neck, cutting his entire head off.
The sudden change even stunned the gradually losing-control Winter Witch!
She couldn’t even see Su Ziyu’s movent clearly, and then in the next instant, Jack’s head was separated from his neck. The body losing its head began exhibiting so extrely eerie writhing changes, the swelling muscles rising and then shrinking, constantly spurting out dark red blood from the severed neck. It seed like his body was about to undergo so transformation, but the decapitation forcibly interrupted it.
Thud.
"Gained 3 Source Power Value."
The task completion notification didn’t appear, and Su Ziyu unhesitantly picked up the BTL82M and started loading ammunition.
"Why!"
"Why stop ! This pathetic dream should have ended long ago!"
Jack’s decapitated head let out a roaring shout akin to madness, his voice hoarse, "There’s no hope left!... It’s ti to end!... Why won’t you give up!?..."
A wave of despair directly transmitted to Su Ziyu’s mind, but the action of raising his gun didn’t pause even a fraction, pressing the trigger right at Jack’s head.
Bang!
On the ground, Jack’s head was instantly blasted apart.
Despair?
Maybe, at the start, Su Ziyu felt despair, was controlled by it, and even considered ending his life. However, now he could face it calmly. A real man would fight until the last mont of his life.
What’s there to despair about?
"Despair won’t solve anything."
Su Ziyu put down his gun and looked at the shocked face of the Winter Witch before him, saying slowly, "But using illusions to cover it up, that’s just escapism."
"I believe you’re not crazy."
"You’ve entered my Dream Realm. I just want to ask you one thing, can you still fight?"
