Wasteland Plane.
Just as Su Ziyu sensed an unprecedented formidable enemy descending into the material world, a significant event capable of altering the course of the world was unfolding in an underground laboratory within the Wasteland Plane.
The white conference room was filled with figures.
Both n and won were present, most of whom appeared not young. More than half were dressed like scholars. The youngest was a mature woman appearing in her thirties, with wine-red wavy long hair, wearing black-frad glasses. She pushed the glasses up on her nose and directed her gaze towards the entrance of the conference room.
Click-clack, click-clack.
A crisp sound of footsteps echoed.
Soon, Dr. A, donned in a white lab coat, entered. Behind him followed a young man and woman. The woman appeared to be in her twenties, her beautiful face cold and glamorous, dressed as a professional secretary, with slightly long fingernails. Behind her gold-rimd glasses, her icy blue eyes observed the others coldly.
Beside her, the young man was also handso and upright, standing expressionless behind Dr. A, like a stoic soldier.
"I greatly appreciate everyone could co in person."
Dr. A moved to the front of the conference room, swept his glance over the others, his pupils slightly narrowing, but a faint smile appearing on his lips as he slowly spoke: "This eting is very important."
"To prevent information from being stolen, I invited all of you to co personally."
Unlike the last eting.
Everyone present this ti was in their physical bodies and not in holographic projections. The situation in the Wasteland Plane had beco increasingly tense over the past two years. The Genetics Faction launched several counterattacks and stole so of their intelligence, while many underground forces erged, further amplifying the scale of chaos.
"Dr. A."
"What crucial information requires us to co in person?" A white male scholar in his fifties stood up, looking towards Dr. A and asked, "Have you found Zeus?"
"Or have you discovered his true identity?"
Upon hearing him, Dr. A gently shook his head and said: "No. Since the last operation, Zeus has never appeared again."
"We can only ascertain that he has so connection with the Brotherhood."
"However, the Brotherhood has sealed any information related to him very tightly, making it impossible to determine his true identity."
Dr. A's words made so scholars show disappointed expressions. The most mysterious existence in the Wasteland in the past two years is undoubtedly the power-wielder known as Zeus. He can manipulate the power of lightning and, two years ago, single-handedly wiped out several secret bases of the Genetics Faction in the northern region. This event severely crippled the Genetics Faction's strength. If not for Zeus' sudden ergence, they probably wouldn't have regained control of the northern region so quickly.
"Though we haven't found a trace of Zeus."
"But our people discovered Mother Yisodel's whereabouts, as she recently appeared deep within the Atomic Sea." Dr. A slightly raised his hand as a figure of a woman with light green long hair materialized. He surveyed the scene and said: "This is the first ti Mother Yisodel appeared in our sights since she used the Light of the Atom to obliterate the Genetics Faction's super mutant base."
"However."
"Ladies and gentlen, what we're going to discuss today is not this."
Since the mysterious being codenad Zeus demonstrated his prowess by severely damaging the Genetics Faction two years ago, many scholars have been greatly intrigued by such power-wielders. Subsequently, Mother Yisodel's Light of the Atom drew even more attention, as they discovered humans could actually harness the power of radiation.
Does this imply that humans have another redy?
Dr. A's gaze swept around the conference room, then clapped his hands, and so holographic images appeared before him. His tone gradually turned cold as he slowly said: "Please, take a look here."
"Here are so images our satellite captured in Asia."
The images switched swiftly.
The first to appear was a grand industrial city. Just looking at the red flags waving in the city center, everyone present knew where this was.
"Beidou?"
"Have they expanded again?" The woman in her thirties pushed up her glasses and said.
Dr. A gently moved his fingers to quickly switch the images and said in a deep voice: "Yes. This is the third expansion of Beidou."
"Look here."
On the outskirts of this massive industrial city, nurous construction sites were underway. In the distance was an enormous convoy, stretching for tens of kiloters so that one couldn't see the end. The originally abandoned highways had been rebuilt, and the heavily loaded trucks carried all kinds of materials, looking like giant dragons transporting endlessly to the industrial city ahead, continuously feeding it.
A group of soldiers wearing exoskeleton armor was marching in formation. So were responsible for transporting the materials back, while others rode in heavy armored trucks heading to unknown distant places.
"In two years."
"Beidou has launched a total of twelve expeditions." Dr. A's voice beca more solemn, even carrying a tinge of coldness, slowly stating: "An average of one every two months."
"Mobilizing over 1.5 million troops."
"Eight armies, over twenty armored divisions."
Dr. A waved his fingers, and the images turned into a map of Asia. From the red dot position of Beidou, red arrows extended, first pointing towards two coastal cities, then extending to the Yangtze and Yellow River basins, followed by a northward direction to the map's edge, then splitting into three routes continuously advancing.
