In the resplendent palace.
A peculiar silver-white crystalline wristwatch appeared on Su Ziyu's hand, projecting a large swath of data in front of him. As he perused, images of so extraordinarily muscular, massive green-skinned Orcs erged. These were data forrly collected by the Empire. At its zenith, the Empire once engaged in battle with a warband of green-skinned Orcs. It was a small-scale WAAAGH expedition, and the Empire, just beginning its interstellar expansion, was struck head-on by the Orcs, forcing it to abandon its original interstellar colonization plans and instead began formulating the plan for Spiritual Ascension.
Angel Shire reclined on a plush gold-red sofa, crossing her legs and holding a glass of red wine. Not far away, two maidens with charming appearances but anxious expressions stood.
"Such a decadent system!" Occasionally, a glimr of light flashed in Angel Shire's eyes as she read unknown information. Shaking her wine glass, she said, "Human resources are being severely wasted. Without the inheritance of the Ancient Empire, such a system would hardly ever advance to the interstellar civilization era."
Su Ziyu was not interested in discussing the Empire's system with her. After turning a page, he raised his head and asked, "What do you think of the Orc's WAAAGH field?"
The golden-haired angel before him glanced up at Su Ziyu and replied slowly, "Idealism Force Field."
"I also don't know how the beings that created them managed it. This kind of twisted reality ability I've only seen in so subspaces."
"But in the Material Plane, a species capable of twisting reality has never been witnessed."
Hearing this, Su Ziyu sighed deeply, and said with a solemn expression, "Yes. This power is too inconceivable."
"Our odds are not great."
The most troubleso aspect of the Orcs is not their terrifying life force, or the fact that a new Orc can sprout from the ground where their blood has spilled, but their innate WAAAGH field, a supernatural power capable of twisting reality.
Moreover, the greater the number of Orcs, the stronger this power becos.
For instance, if there is only a small squad of Orcs and their weapons fail, and they find so guns but the magazine is too small to fit the large-caliber bullets, the Orcs would just tinker with it a bit to make it functional.
Because 'we figured it should work like this,' it indeed could be used.
But if these guns fell into human hands, a barrel explosion would be inevitable, yet they continue to go biubiubiu in the hands of the Orcs.
The larger the number of Orcs, the more terrifying their WAAAGH field becos. When the numbers reach a significant level, 'if we all figured this hunk of scrap tal could assemble into a Gundam,' then the technician boys really could create a Gundam.
How do you fight that?
This ability is almost indomitable. Although the WAAAGH field has an upper limit, as they keep figuring it out like this, Su Ziyu sees no chance of winning at all.
"The Idealism Force Field's interference with reality is limited," Shire contemplated for a mont before saying, "Twisting reality and interfering with reality is the power of the Divine Spirit; these Orcs should not be able to use this power unlimitedly. The scope of WAAAGH field's effects should not exceed their world's cognitive understanding limits."
"According to the data, their field rely strengthens the force upon external objects, rather than creating things out of thin air."
Shire's aning was simple.
The Orc's WAAAGH field is 'we figured the broken gun in our hands could blow up a tank,' rather than 'we figured that we should have a gun at this mont to directly blow up the tank.'
If it were the latter, basically, there's no need to fight, just run.
"Do you have any good plans?" Su Ziyu looked up and asked.
"Insufficient information on these Orcs, so currently no good plan," the golden-haired angel shook her head and said, "but we should pay attention to their numbers. The Orc's numbers are the key to their power."
"On the battlefield, reduce their numbers as much as possible."
Hearing this, Su Ziyu lowered his head, massaging his forehead and continuing to peruse the data ahead, casually asked, "How's it going on Isabella's side?"
A glimr flashed in Angel Shire's eyes as she gently said, "She has already gathered those rebels."
"Currently heading towards the cathedral."
Su Ziyu harbored a bit of envy towards Angel Shire's thod of directly reading information, but he still couldn't achieve that and could only rely on intuition to acquire information for now.
"How much ti do we have left?" Su Ziyu closed the projection before him and asked.
Shire paused for a mont with closed eyes, then said, "Less than 18 hours."
"Isabella is gathering the Empire's army."
Saying this, Shire placed a finger on her temple and softly said, "She has already ordered the activation of all nuclear silos, seems like she is preparing to use tactical nuclear weapons."
Throwing nuclear bombs?
Su Ziyu remained silent for a while, then said, "Will it be effective?"
"Its effect is limited," the blonde Angel shook her head and replied, "In the interstellar era, most civilizations possess the ability to counter nuclear weapons."
anwhile.
Just as Su Ziyu was consulting nurous materials, searching for a way to deal with the Orcs, the factory zones and military camps in the Imperial Capital also began operating at full capacity.
Empress Isabella, having just returned from the Cathedral, almost imdiately led people to the factory zone. Before her lay tens of thousands of sealed old chs; aged does not an they lack power, but these heavy iron lumps had obvious flaws. The Empire initially took the route of Spiritual Ascension, so these products of chanical Ascension were directly abandoned and sealed at the bottom of the factory zone.
"Her Majesty the Empress."
"Are you really going to use these Fearless chas?"
"Have those green-skinned Orcs truly returned?" Beside Empress Isabella was a middle-aged man dressed as a noble, with neatly combed hair, wearing dieval-style noble attire, and a laser pistol at his waist. Behind him were several others, all appearing to be of noble descent.
Empress Isabella turned her cold gaze and said expressionlessly, "Begin."
She did not answer the nobles' doubts but directly gave an order. Accompanied by the sound of footsteps, squads of burly soldiers took off their shirts and entered the workshop before them.
These robust soldiers bore special tattoo markings on their bodies, symbols of the Star Realm Army. All were carefully selected elites, holding absolute loyalty to the Empire. Under the officers' lead, they arrived before each of the sealed chas. Then, a dical team of hundreds, wearing white lab coats and carrying an array of instrunts, ca over to conduct examinations on the soldiers.
"Examination complete."
"Begin connecting to the nervous system!..."
"Activate the electronic bio-fiber of the Fearless cha!... Initiate magnetic muscle nerve integration!... Load personal control interface!..."
The cold chanical surgical knives glimred with a chilling light.
The dics loaded the dical assistance arms onto their shoulders, followed by the ergence of sophisticated surgical tools. They cut into the soldiers' muscle tissue, located their nerve bundles, and began implanting so microelectronic components, connecting them to the electronic bio-fiber from the towering Fearless chas ahead, injecting genetic repair liquid.
After completing the neural integration, these chas would rge with the soldiers, allowing them to control the cha as flexibly as they control their own bodies. However, these heavy steel chas would also beco their constrained prison.
The ultimate definition of chanical Ascension is to completely chanize the human structure.
Fearless chas differ from the armor of Space Marines. The latter involves advanced human modification, extending into black shells to control interstellar armor, sothing ordinary people cannot achieve without sufficient resources. Thus, perfect control of the chas requires electronic neural integration, necessitating surgical connection of the two.
Boom.
The sound of heavy footsteps echoed.
The first Star Realm Army warrior to complete the electronic neural integration stepped forward. He crouched, opened a tal box over three ters long, and took out a heavy firearm with a diater exceeding half a ter. This was an Explosive Gun from the Ancient Lost Empire, firing rocket-propelled bullets, capable of using various ammunition such as standard explosive arrows, hellfire arrows (directly striking organisms), purgatory burst arrows (spiritual energy beam bullets), and so on.
The Explosive Arrow Gun cos in many models, but currently, within the Empire, only the [Expedition Type] model is available.
Of course.
The weapons of the Fearless cha are not limited to these. Its 12-ton arms are equipped with plasma cannons and power weapons sufficient to handle any close or long-range combat. The energy source used inside is a thermal reactor, allowing prolonged high-intensity combat. In the past, such chas were once standard equipnt for Space Marines until they were gradually replaced by newer interstellar armor.
Boom.
The first squad of transford Star Realm Army soldiers saluted Empress Isabella ahead and then stood expressionlessly by the roadside. The electronic neural integration enchantnts continued thodically, and after neural connection with the Fearless chas, they would spend a long ti within this heavy steel armor.
Empress Isabella did not stay until the entire transformation process was complete. After spending so ti in this transformation workshop, she entered another factory zone, where even larger and more ferocious steel monsters resided.
The Empire's heritage extends far beyond these Fearless chas.
It is known that the Empire initially faced two choices: one was Spiritual Ascension, the other chanical Ascension. Although the Empire ultimately chose the path of Spiritual Ascension, chanical Ascension remained as an alternative choice, leaving a considerable legacy.
And now it's ti to utilize that legacy!
