The deafening sounds of explosions continued unceasingly. Everyone nervously fixed their eyes on the projected images, the continuous explosions seed to ignite an extraordinarily grand firework display in the heavens. Almost all the missiles launched perfectly hit their targets, but before they could reveal a joyful expression, the next scene left them stunned in place.
Those orbital pods, resembling teors, were still descending rapidly.
Although they crudely appeared like enormous iron coffins, the missiles fired at them seed to have little to no effect.
"Replay the footage!"
The footage was replayed in the command center, and under everyone's careful observation, they noticed that at the mont of missile explosion, an invisible energy force field erged on those crude iron lumps, completely isolating them from any missile damage, impervious to even a slight disturbance.
"WAAAGH force field!..." A military officer in his forties revealed a bitter smile and murmured.
The orcs were still the sa orcs.
But the Empire was no longer the sa Empire.
Inside the Queen's Battleship, Empress Isabella seed to have anticipated everything before her, her expression unchanged. Clenching her fists, she calmly said, "Proceed according to the plan."
"Prepare the laser weapons!"
"Begin charging the electromagnetic railgun!"
The first wave of attacks was almost completely ineffective. Clearly, only a more potent energy attack could possibly break through the Ook orcs' WAAAGH force field.
Buzz.
Upon Empress Isabella's order, a trembling hum echoed along the Empire army's defense line, as beams of bluish light began to appear. With imnse electromagnetic energy gathered, thousands of energy beams instantly sliced through the sky.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Continuous explosions erupted, and on the holographic projection, the orcs' orbital pods exploded one after another, blooming into dazzling fireworks.
"The attack is effective!"
"Continue charging! Take them all out!"
A cheer erupted from within the command center.
But before they could enjoy the victory for long, a terrible crash sounded from the ground not far away. It was like an earthquake kicking up a cloud of dust. A gigantic iron piece, about twenty ters in diater and fifty ters in length, had descended from the sky. With a hiss, as the heavy hatch was opened, a group of massively built green-skinned giants rushed out of the orbit pod, all equipped with various chanical armor, holding imnsely heavy rocket launchers in their hands, and unleashing a barrage of firepower upon ergence.
"WAAAGH!!!"
Under the protection of these green-skinned giants, smaller orcs jumped out. Though its muscles were less robust than those of other orcs, its eyes glead cunningly. With a grip on a strangely shaped firearm with an energy crystal embedded atop, as this green-skinned runt pulled the trigger, in an instant, a beam targeted the distant Thunderbird fighter.
Space distorted.
A bizarre ripple oscillated around the Thunderbird fighter, and the next second, it exploded, turning into a massive fireball and plumting from the sky.
"Dinsional Vibration Gun!..."
"Spiritualist orc!..." A low voice from an elder in the command center remarked.
The sudden downing of the Thunderbird fighter did not cause any panic in the Empire's ranks. As nurous gun barrels diverted their targets, the next instant, dozens of shells aid at the distant, first-landing orbit pod.
Boom, boom, boom!
Amidst the rising fire of explosions, the orcs that had charged out were engulfed by the bombardnt, and in the blink of an eye, only shattered remnants remained strewn on the ground.
Bam.
Almost simultaneous to the orcs being swallowed by gunfire, another orbit pod descended from above. This ti, it landed directly within the Empire's defense line, instantly crushing a heavy tank into fragnts. With another hissing muffled sound, dozens more green-skinned orcs charged forward.
"WAAAGH!!!"
As the orc's roar echoed, nearby heavy-ard Star Realm troops unleashed a dreadful tal storm, countless bullets completely enveloping the green-skinned orcs. Yet, these bullets only managed to leave shallow dents on their bodies, where a bullet storm enough to shred a human body into pieces rely inflicted severe injuries on them.
Boom!
A visible shockwave spread out like a blast wave, with spiderweb-like cracks appearing on the hard ground, extending over thirty ters, forming a sunken crater at its center.
After diverting the first wave of firepower attack, a green-skinned giant over seven ters tall erged from the orbit pod.
Flas burst!
The figure of the green-skinned giant zipped nearly two hundred ters instantly, appearing before a soldier clad in heavy exoskeleton. With a WAAAGH roar of fury, it swung a punch, sending the soldier in heavy exoskeleton flying fifty ters away without reason.
On the extrely tough exoskeleton alloy steel, an exaggerated dent appeared, with the Star Realm warrior inside likely not surviving. No movent followed after landing, only traces of blood seeping from the armor were visible.
A serrated blade over three ters long ejects from the armor this green-skinned giant wears, roaring as it charges toward the heavy tank ahead. With a leap of several dozen ters, it lands like a cannonball on the heavy tank.
