Since Ji Huan said he had a free afternoon, Zhu Qianyu decided not to bother him at work. She packed her backpack and went out the door. Seeing it was still early, she leisurely strolled from her house’s entrance to the main road to catch a bus.

She didn’t know where Ji Huan worked. Hesitating for a mont at the bus stop, she finally boarded a bus heading downtown. She got off near a café she liked, planning to have a coffee and read a book to pass the ti.

After walking only a few steps, the phone in her bag rang.

She took it out to see it was Ji Huan.

"Xiao Yu, are you awake?"

Ji Huan’s cheerful voice made the originally languid Zhu Qianyu suddenly feel energized.

"I woke up early!"

Perhaps the noise of vehicles passing on the main road reached Ji Huan’s ears, "Are you outside?"

Without thinking, Zhu Qianyu replied, "Mm."

"Out shopping with your mom?"

"No, alone!"

Zhu Qianyu felt foolish for considering accompanying her mom an important task.

There was silence on the other end. After a while, Zhu Qianyu heard Ji Huan ask, "Where are you now? I’ll co find you."

It seed that brief silence was Ji Huan instructing his team on work.

Zhu Qianyu first looked around before rembering he was at work.

"Aren’t you at work? Don’t worry about , I’ll wander around. Call when you finish work."

Ji Huan’s smile ca through the earpiece, "Silly, I’m responsible here. If I couldn’t leave for a few hours for sothing temporary, what kind of project would this be?"

Only then did Zhu Qianyu rember that he was the second son of the Ji Family, indeed having the privilege to leave work when he liked.

"Alright then, I’m near that Yue Min Square downtown."

"Mm, find a café and sit down. Text once you’re seated, I’ll be there in half an hour."

Zhu Qianyu told him her original plan, hung up, and continued along her original route.

She sat in the café, ordered a drink, took out her laptop, opened a docunt, and began typing away.

During her internship at Xinying for these months, she gradually had the idea of writing a web drama script.

Web dramas are easier to get approved, so the content can more closely align with reality, with less stringent language and concept restrictions.

She had already been writing this script for a long while. But due to emotional turmoil lately, progress had been particularly slow. After Ji Huan disappeared again for a month, she hadn’t even wanted to open the docunt.

Now, perhaps because emotions have settled, her thoughts beca incredibly clear, and inspiration flowed like a spring.

When Ji Huan walked in, he saw her from afar, head bowed, fingers flying over the laptop keyboard. Initially, he thought she was chatting with friends. As he got closer, he was surprised to see the screen full of words.

Ji Huan slightly leaned over, gently holding her shoulder, "What are you writing?"

While asking, his lips left a peck on her cheek.

Zhu Qianyu was startled at first, then relaxed hearing his gentle voice, "Writing a script..."

Ji Huan responded with an "Mm," and maneuvered to sit beside her without interrupting, gazing at the screen to seriously read what she wrote.

Zhu Qianyu finished a small segnt, paused, picked up her drink and took a big gulp, moistened her throat, and turned to look at him.

Ji Huan shifted his gaze from the screen to her lips, dyed pink and luscious by waterlon juice. Unable to resist, he leaned in for a gentle kiss.

After the kiss, savoring the mont, he licked his lips relishingly, "Mm, very sweet!"

Perhaps it was the kiss or his words and actions that made her blush instantly.

"Have you been waiting long?"

Zhu Qianyu herself had been writing continuously with the flow of inspiration, having no concept of how much ti had passed.

Ji Huan glanced at his watch, "Mm, waited twenty minutes."

Zhu Qianyu said "sorry" embarrassedly.

Ji Huan put on an uncompromising expression, reaching over to hold her shoulder, tugging her into his embrace, "How are you going to make it up to ?"

"Mm?" Zhu Qianyu snapped out of it and said, "I’ll treat you to dinner!"

Ji Huan shook his head, "Just a al? No way, that’s too easy for you!"

Zhu Qianyu, naive as always, obediently let him pile up requests, "What else do you want?"

Ji Huan moved his face next to hers, nudging, "Tomorrow is Sunday, make a cake."

Ever since tasting her cake, President Ji’s cakes had fallen from Young Master Ji’s favorite spot.

However, he was at best just a good friend before, having no place or reason to ask her to make a cake for him. Now it was different.

She was his girlfriend, caring for his appetite was her duty and responsibility.

Zhu Qianyu found it amusing; How is Ji Huan still like a child whenever speaking about cakes?

"No problem, what flavor do you want?"

Ji Huan tilted his head in thought, "Chestnut flavor, is that alright?"

"Of course, you only like Western cakes?"

Ji Huan didn’t get why she asked but honestly replied, "I like Chinese pastries too but prefer Western ones because I love sweets."

Zhu Qianyu couldn’t help but laugh aloud, "Isn’t it said that guys don’t like sweets? How are you an exception?"

Ji Huan clicked his tongue, "Who told you guys don’t like sweets? My brother, I, and even Beibei all love sweets."

Zhu Qianyu turned her head to look at him, suddenly realizing apart from being humorous, gentlemanly, and gentle, he also had this childish side.

"Lucky you prefer Western pastries!"

"What do you an?" Ji Huan didn’t quite understand why she suddenly said this.

Zhu Qianyu explained with a smile, "My mom’s a chef, like I told you, right?"

"Mm."

"My mom is a very talented chef, excelling in various cuisines. She’s equally good at Chinese and Western pastries. My sister and I, as kids, didn’t dare run around much because we’d always get bullied by older siblings whenever we went out. Sisters had no playthings to entertain, so we’d follow my mom into the kitchen molding flour or sticky rice dough through kneading, gradually our pastry-making skills matched our mom’s level. However, my sister excelled in Chinese pastries, especially Cantonese ones. Her skill could rival a top chef in a Cantonese tea house. , on the other hand, I’m more skilled at Western pastries."

Though her explanation was plain, Ji Huan felt a pang of heartache.

"Never mind, I won’t eat!" Young Master suddenly changed his mind.
