The unfortunate little secretary has been working overti with her cold-hearted boss who shows no sympathy, until past nine o’clock. During this ti, she subtly reminded her boss once, "President Ji, your stomach isn’t good. Shall I order us two regular als?"
The boss didn’t even look up, "I had two sandwiches! I’m not hungry!"
Le Tong’s eyes instantly brimd with tears. President, you are aware that you ate two sandwiches! You ate my share too, so while you’re not hungry, my stomach is practically digesting nothing!
"But..." Le Tong thought she needed to fight for so food for herself; otherwise, she might faint from hunger in this study.
"Stop talking nonsense, do you want to work all night?"
President Ji spoke one sentence and shut Le Tong up, and she internally scolded herself soundly for opening her mouth to offer help.
Why did you comnt rashly, offering your help!
Why did you soften your heart and offer your sandwich to him!
Why did you play the innocent lamb, bowing your head to let your boss exploit you without a sound!
The unfortunate little secretary, Le Tong, finally finished her work at ten o’clock and opened the study door to see a server setting up a lavish dinner on the table, almost moved to tears!
Instantly, the image of the harsh President in her heart took a complete turnaround. Le Tong, the little secretary, squinted as she took a large swig of the delicious cheese lobster bisque, the luscious flavor filling her mouth brought her satisfaction soaring.
"President, you’re so kind!" At this mont, she felt so moved she was almost in tears.
Ji Rui glanced at her indifferently, "The server ntioned a single room is available, are you moving?"
Le Tong glanced at the table full of delicious dishes she loved and shook her head reluctantly, "President, aren’t there three suites here? Why should I move?"
Faced with such good food, trying to kick her out? She’s not that foolish!
Being made to work hard like a horse all afternoon and evening, trying to be rid of her that easily? No way!
Besides, all the suites here are independent, so staying there wouldn’t interfere with each other. Enjoying the President’s privilege by eating dishes she typically wouldn’t get in her spare ti seems worth it she realized!
Indeed, the real side of Le Tong, the little lamb secretary, is that besides being a true tough girl, she’s also an absolute foodie.
"Not moving?"
Ji Rui casually asked, yet with great power behind his words. Le Tong t his eyes and felt that he was pressuring her to leave.
"Not moving!"
Le Tong beca stubborn too, "You want to kick out, don’t you? I’ll make sure you’re not pleased!"
Ji Rui saw Le Tong persisted and said calmly, "Suit yourself!"
He then lowered his head and continued sipping his soup, ignoring her.
Le Tong was polite at first, but later, when she realized that Ji Rui didn’t acknowledge her presence as if she was invisible, combined with the excellent taste of food, she began eating heartily!
After all, these were the foods she traded her own sandwich and had suffered from a hurting stomach mbrane for, not eating her fill wouldn’t justify herself!
Ji Rui ate at his own steady pace and when he was almost finished, he put down his cutlery, elegantly wiped his mouth with a napkin, and walked directly back to the master bedroom.
Le Tong ate freely, even grabbed the remote to turn the TV on while eating. If it weren’t for the lingering shadow from her previous drinking incident, she might’ve drunk two cups.
Le Tong’s dinner lasted nearly an hour, and around eleven o’clock, she inford the server to co and clear the remaining dishes.
Dragging her luggage to the far edge of the suite, Le Tong bent down to open her suitcase, feeling a bit uncomfortable due to overeating.
So, she decided to take a bath first, waiting for the food to digest a bit before sorting her luggage.
Taking clean clothes, Le Tong humd her way to the bathroom. After a big al, various annoyances and frustrations were largely offset by the joy brought by food.
Switched on the showerhead to clean her hair first, and loosely piled her wet hair atop, she humd while soaping herself showering up and down for quite a while. She felt wholly cleaned, standing under the shower back, letting the heated water wash her fatigue away completely.
She enjoyed the shower nicely, turning her back to let hot water wash down her smooth back.
The water temperature was perfect, and the shower water felt soft touching the skin. Comfortable and slightly closing her eyes, just when she was about to doze off, intense hotness suddenly assaulted her back.
"Ah!!"
Le Tong’s voice rang loudly, the burning pain from her back harshly chased away all her sleepiness!
With a shout, Le Tong instinctively sprang from the showerhead, when she realized her back seed burned by water from the water heater, hadn’t had ti to put on her robe, when the bathroom door suddenly banged open!
The one who rushed in wasn’t anyone else but Le Tong’s cold-faced boss, President Ji.
Le Tong scread again, "Ah!"
Frightened, with remaining sanity, Le Tong grabbed the robe beside her and tightly held it to the front.
The rash-door-buster Ji Rui stood rigidly at the door, his deep, slightly green eyes, brushed across a peculiar gleam.
"President! You..."
Having covered her main parts in front with the robe, Le Tong, despite the burning pain on her back, the fact of standing alive in front of Ji Rui made her wish she’d die!
Ji Rui took another look at the dripping Le Tong, "Sorry!" He said calmly, stepped back, and closed the door.
Le Tong’s mind went blank, clutching the robe to her chest tightly, standing in the bathroom dripping for quite a while, unsure if it was the pain on her back or the embarrassnt of being seen naked by Ji Rui again!
Knock knock from the bathroom door, followed by Ji Rui’s steady, cool voice.
"Le Tong, what’s wrong? Did you slip? Or sothing else?"
Le Tong remained silent, took a deep breath while trying to move a little; the pain began throbbing at her back!
"Le Tong, are you alright?!" Ji Rui’s voice faintly bore urgency.
"I... I’m fine..." Le Tong tremblingly said, while attempting to slowly put her robe on.
When she opened the door, she t Ji Rui’s slightly frowning face.
"What happened?"
Ji Rui asked coldly, his probing gaze swiftly swept across her body and face.
Le Tong, eyes reddened, looked at him, sniffled, and spoke with grievance, "Got burned..."
Ji Rui silently watched her for a mont, raised his hand to push the bathroom door open, glanced inside, and stepped inside bypassing her.
