Ji Rui’s eyebrows relaxed, and he imdiately put down the receiver, sat up straight with a serious deanor, reopened the file, cleared his throat, and responded.
"Co in!"
At the mont the door was pushed open, Ji Rui lowered his eyelids and pretended to read the file earnestly.
"Excuse , are you Mr. Ji Rui?"
A strange male voice ca over, and Ji Rui suddenly raised his head, staring at him fiercely!
Why is it a man? Where is his little secretary?
Ji Rui glared at the young man standing by the door who seriously didn’t match expectations, and replied in a stern voice.
"I am!"
The sharp gaze shot directly at the young man, who shivered uncontrollably, unable to stop himself from shivering.
"Mr. Ji... Mr. Ji... there is a package for you, could you... could you sign for it?"
The young courier hesitated under Ji Rui’s killer-like gaze for a mont, but finally bit his lip, and slowly moved towards Ji Rui’s desk.
"A package?" Ji Rui’s hopes dashed, his tone beca especially harsh.
"Yes... yes... it says here, the recipient is... is Mr. Ji!"
The courier struggled to move to the table under Ji Rui’s intimidating gaze, pulled a delivery package out of a large bag, and gingerly pushed it in front of Ji Rui.
Ji Rui glared at him, lowered his eyes to glance at the na on the package, indeed, there was no mistake, it wrote his full na "Ji Rui".
"Why was it brought in? There isn’t a secretary outside?"
Ji Rui’s parcels or packages had always been signed for by Le Tong. He asked like this, hoping the courier would take the package outside for Le Tong to sign, so she would have no reason to avoid him anymore, right?

Ji Rui placed the small one on the table, picked up the large envelope, tore it open, pulled out the sheet of paper, and smoothed it out. At the header of the paper were big bold words "Resignation Letter".
The accumulated depression and irritation of recent days instantly ignited like kindling when he saw these words, turning into a fiery blaze in his heart.
How could she?
How could she dare?
To actually resign?
Ji Rui couldn’t suppress the flas in his heart, and with both hands, shredded the resignation letter to bits in just a few monts!
As he looked at the white paper fragnts scattered all over the ground, the fire in Ji Rui’s heart subsided slightly, only then did he pick up the other small envelope, tore it open, and pulled out the small piece of paper inside.
A penny?
When Ji Rui saw that what he pulled out was the almost obsolete smallest denomination currency, his lips couldn’t help but twitch.

Ji Rui’s face remained livid as he stared at the penny and the rather insulting note, his chest heaving violently, yet he did not move for a long ti!

Only after doing all this, Ji Rui picked up the phone, instructing soone to go and bring back that arrogant little secretary who dared to act so brazenly towards him.
The person accepted the order, patting his chest and promising to deliver the person to President Ji before dark.
Ji Rui hung up the phone, and as if driven by a ghost, clicked on Le Tong’s personnel file.
When he saw her writing "none" in the relatives column, Ji Rui paused.
It wasn’t the first ti Ji Rui looked at Le Tong’s personnel file, but before, he only cared about her academic background and so work experience, never paying attention to her family mbers or concerning himself with them.
A simple "none", did it an both parents were deceased?

He had sent Le Tong a few tis, and Le Tong always got off at the expensive apartnt building, so he always assud she lived in that building, but from her address, it seed to be the old buildings behind the building, where rent should be much cheaper!
Ji Rui always thought he understood Le Tong well, but seeing these two columns, he realized he actually knew nothing about her!
Ji Rui picked up the phone, paused to think, and put it down again.
The person who claid to bring her back to et him before dark had not sent any news by noon.
But Ji Baby called in, just when Ji Rui hadn’t had lunch yet.
"Daddy, has Sister returned from the business trip?"
Ji Rui, unable to deal with Ji Baby’s pestering, eventually told his dear son that his sister would return from the business trip today.
Ji Rui pinched his brow, gently exhaled, "Not yet, she should be back tonight."
"Daddy is a big liar!" Ji Baby angrily declared, and without listening to Ji Rui’s explanation, directly hung up the phone.
Ji Rui stared at the phone for a mont, shook his head helplessly, and placed the phone down properly.
