Yang Sheng was yelled at by him and then fell silent, probably pondering Ji Rui’s thoughts.
"Rui, are you jealous?"
Ji Rui didn’t even think, and imdiately replied through gritted teeth, "Why would I be?!"

She ssed up his and his son’s life and then vanished without a trace like she evaporated from the world?!
Damn it! Ji Rui cursed in his heart, gnashing his teeth, as he grabbed the bottle to fill his empty glass. Just as he was about to drink, he heard Yang Sheng on the other end of the phone saying, "Rui, do you know that you sound like a jealous husband right now?"
That remark was like adding fuel to the fire! Or rather, like stepping on Ji Rui’s sore spot.
Ji Rui slamd down his glass with a loud thud and said coldly.
"Yang Sheng, do you know you’re gossiping like a long-tongued woman?!"
On the other end of the phone, there was a long silence and just as Ji Rui was about to hang up, Yang Sheng suddenly spoke.
"Rui, you know about Chu Ran and , right?"
Ji Rui, still angry, was taken aback when he heard Yang Sheng’s shift in tone, paused, and nodded, "Well, a little, but not much."
The fire of anger that filled Ji Rui’s heart was suddenly doused, and his tone beca calm and gentle.
Chu Ran was Yang Sheng’s first love, but ten years ago, due to so unknown reasons, they broke up, and thereafter, Yang Sheng’s love life beca a mystery.
"Rui, to be honest with you, I really regret my decision back then. Many things are confusing to those involved. I don’t know what happened between you and Tongtong, but Tongtong is a person with high pride and clarity, she doesn’t easily treat people well. You always say she treats well, but I think she doesn’t treat you any worse than she treats ."
Ji Rui was once again stunned. Was Le Tong special to him in the eyes of outsiders?

"Alright, if you insist on being this way, I have no choice. If you see her, ask her to give a call."
Yang Sheng seed to have lost patience in persuading soone as stubborn as a rock like Ji Rui, and quickly ended with that, then hung up.
On the other end of the line, Yang Sheng simply thought Le Tong and Ji Rui were having so disputes, that she had forcibly taken a leave to go on vacation like last ti. How would he know that his junior sister hadn’t gone on vacation at all, but was forced into an escape with a "huge sum" by President Ji.
Ji Rui slamd his phone down on the bar, picked up the glass of wine, and downed it in one go.
After drinking, he held the glass in his hand, staring at his phone hesitantly, before eventually reaching out and picking up the phone, dialing a series of numbers.
"Sorry, the number you have dialed is turned off..." Le Tong’s phone had been turned off for several consecutive days. Was she deliberately avoiding him?
Ji Rui’s hand, seemingly possessed, clicked on the Weibo icon on the screen. This Weibo was set up by Le Tong for him, which he had almost never used.

The second post read, "Got scolded by the boss; it’s great, I’ve learned a few new cursing skills!"
The date of this post was before she joined the Ji Family, and Ji Rui couldn’t help but curl his lips; he wondered if she maintained such a cheerful mindset when he had scolded her.
Ji Rui then turned the page to the date she started working at the Ji Family.
