Le Tong and Ji Rui stared at each other for a few seconds, and as her mind cleared, she finally understood that the man was pretending to be naive.
"Ji Rui, this wasn’t for fun!"
The dazed look in Le Tong’s eyes was replaced by a determined stubbornness.
This man wanted to play dumb, but she couldn’t let him have his way!
Because she didn’t want any more involvent with him. If she admitted she was here for fun, they would inevitably keep entangling over it.
If you hesitate when you should break it off, you’ll only drive yourself to a dead end!
"Le Tong, whatever it is, we’ll talk at the hotel!"
The atmosphere between them had rarely eased, and Ji Rui naturally didn’t want to spoil it. Besides, he knew he wasn’t eloquent and might not have enough ability to make Le Tong willingly return with him, so he had hidden a secret weapon at the hotel.

Ji Rui didn’t respond, so Baobao added, "Daddy, Sister is a girl, you have to coax her, not be fierce!"
When leaving the hotel, Baobao had repeatedly warned Ji Rui, by all ans, not to be fierce with Le Tong.
At this mont, despite Le Tong’s constant distancing, Ji Rui’s expression remained unchanged, but his previously high spirits were plumting fast. Fortunately, he rembered his precious son’s warning, suppressed his anger, and clamd up for fear of saying sothing he shouldn’t. He closed his eyes again, leaned back on the chair, and said.
"Let’s talk later, I’m tired, going to sleep for a bit!"
Le Tong didn’t realize this was a stalling tactic by Ji Rui. She simply thought he was genuinely tired!
In her understanding, Ji Rui was always domineering and forceful; when would he ever bow and retreat? If he said he was tired, then he really was exhausted!
With this understanding, Le Tong fell silent again. She was still quite wary of Ji Rui. After all, others might be unpredictable, but this man in front of her certainly had the ans to take her back to R City forcibly, so all she wanted now was to solve the contract matter peacefully.
However, disturbing this man’s sleep might directly affect the outco of their conversation.
Le Tong remained silent afterward, while Ji Rui kept his eyes closed, whether pretending to sleep or actually sleeping, until the car pulled up in the hotel’s parking lot, when he finally opened his eyes.
Getting out of the car, Le Tong obediently followed Ji Rui toward the elevator.

The two entered the elevator, but the four bodyguards did not follow.
As Ji Rui closed the elevator door after Le Tong entered, he pressed the button and asked her.
"You haven’t had lunch, have you?"
His rare concern took Le Tong by surprise, but she gave him a slight glance, "I have!"
Ji Rui did not say much else; the two remained silent in the elevator, one staring blankly at the elevator door, while the other openly turned to observe the other.
The elevator door opened, Le Tong stepped out first, followed by Ji Rui.
"Do you want to eat anything else? I’ll have the service staff prepare it."
Le Tong stopped, "No!"
She really didn’t expect the always decisive and efficient President Ji to have a day when he was so dilatory.
During the ti Ji Rui was asleep, her mind was constantly pondering over his various odd behaviors.
First of all, having run off with money, if it were the old him, he would definitely have made a big deal out of it.

Thinking of this, an inexplicable alertness sprang in Le Tong, and unconsciously, when Ji Rui was instructing the bodyguards who ca up with them, she made a run for it.
Unexpectedly, her arm was firmly grabbed by a strong hand!
