Now reading: Chapter 255 Change of Address, Call Her Mrs. Ji (Third Updat from Treasure Hunt: Tycoon's Priceless Runaway Wife, a Romance novel by The Shadow of Unknown Bamboo.

Ji Rui originally thought that Le Tong liked Ji Baby, but now it seems that her fondness for the child has reached the level of doting.

In fact, he has a feeling, an illusion perhaps, that Le Tong’s love and doting towards Ji Baby is even deeper and more intense than his own as the father.

Ji Rui turned his head to scrutinize Le Tong, who was smiling sweetly, her head tilted, as she watched Ji Baby eat with his face and mouth covered in greasy oil.

Le Tong’s lovestruck deanor, eyes and mind full of Ji Baby, made Ji Rui feel a pang of heartache. To think that a respectable seven-foot man like himself, in her eyes, couldn’t compare to a greedy little brat!

Unconsciously, Ji Rui’s thoughts shifted from why Le Tong doted on Ji Baby so much to why she was so indifferent to him.

Thinking back to when they were at the Ji Family, she didn’t have this deanor.

Of course, she would have her little temper tantrums, but she wasn’t stingy. After her tantrum, she would quickly and diligently serve him tea and water with great attentiveness.

Could it be that her kindness back then was really just because he was her boss?

Was there really no personal feelings mixed in at all?

But even Yang Sheng said that Le Tong’s feelings for him were not just as simple as employee to boss. So has this complexity expired now that he’s no longer her boss?

Ji Rui finished a bowl of fish soup and also consud the three tin foil ribs Ji Baby placed in front of him, yet he still couldn’t figure out this problem.

What made him feel even more frustrated was that during this ti, his gaze landed on Le Tong several tis, but her gaze remained fixed on Ji Baby.

The delivery from Dragon Hotel soon arrived, brought by the familiar Manager Chen.

Le Tong and Ji Baby both ran to open the door, and the sight of Manager Chen seed to startle him, but he quickly regained composure and greeted Le Tong with a smile.

"Miss Le, long ti no see."

His attempt at familiarity earned a fierce glare from Ji Baby, who naturally stood protectively in front of Le Tong and glared at Manager Chen.

"Uncle, do you know Ji Baby’s sister?"

Manager Chen’s mind was montarily blank, "Your sister?"

Ji Baby nodded and sternly warned him, "That’s right, she’s Ji Baby’s sister, don’t even think about having any evil thoughts!"

Manager Chen wiped imaginary sweat from his forehead, thinking that not only would he dare not have any improper thoughts about soone so protected by the young master of Ji Family, just seeing her appearing in President Ji’s apartnt would already make him not dare to have any ideas.

Le Tong, already quite embarrassed, beca even more so with Ji Baby’s remarks, smiling awkwardly at Manager Chen, "Kids say the darnedest things, just treat it as a funny joke, Manager Chen."

Ji Baby couldn’t care less about Le Tong’s embarrassnt. After observing for a while, he realized his dad was a big block of wood, unmovable no matter how he kicked. If he didn’t want his sister snatched away, he’d have to personally drive away these annoying n one by one.

The Luo Family brother was like this, and so was this sickeningly smiling uncle.

"It’s not a joke, Sister belongs to Ji Baby, no one can touch her!"

Ji Baby said these words with such assertiveness, even Ji Rui, sitting over on the sofa, felt his precious son was overly protective of Le Tong. Perhaps, the little guy himself also sensed that Le Tong’s kindness towards him surpassed ordinary affection, hence he so heartily protected her, right?

"Ji Baby, be good, this uncle just ca to deliver takeout, he didn’t do anything to Sister!"

Le Tong ruffled Ji Baby’s hair as if calming an enraged lion.

Manager Chen continued to smile and nod obsequiously until Ji Baby pulled Le Tong into the room, and he, along with another employee, carried the two big boxes of takeout in, greeting Ji Rui with another set of smiles.

"Mr. Ji, sorry for upsetting the little master."

Ji Rui glanced at his son but didn’t see anything wrong with his precious boy’s earlier outburst.

After all, he and Ji Baby are father and son, and even if he doesn’t understand him well, certain instincts are similar. Thus, he figured it must have been Manager Chen’s lecherous gaze at Le Tong that caused Ji Baby to lose it.

Poor Manager Chen, who rely smiled politely at Le Tong, ended up being viewed by the father-son duo as a scheming, sleazy man.

Due to his strong guard against the uncle, Ji Baby held onto Le Tong, not letting her take a step away until Manager Chen and the other employee laid the food on the table, returned to the living room to say goodbye to Ji Rui, and he pushed Le Tong towards the dining room.

As Ji Rui watched Le Tong’s back, he said to the apprehensive-looking Manager Chen, "You still rember what Miss Le likes to eat, right? Just send her and Ji Baby’s favorite foods later tonight."

Manager Chen wasn’t entirely sure of his suspicions, but now he was almost 100% certain.

No wonder Le Tong hadn’t accompanied President Ji to any social events in a long ti; turns out, she’s kept in the golden house. Seeing the extent of the Ji Family’s big and small n’s protection over her, it probably won’t be long before I have to change my address for her to Mrs. Ji!

"Okay, I understand."

Manager Chen was about to leave with the employee when Ji Rui suddenly called him back.

Manager Chen stood there with a frightened expression, thinking President Ji wanted to settle sothing with him, but then he heard the man, expressionless, say, "There’s a ss in the kitchen, go clean it up. The tip will be included with the al charge."

Manager Chen breathed a sigh of relief, led the employee into the kitchen, and soon they ca out after tidying up.

Ji Rui saw them out, closed the door, and returned to the dining room where Ji Baby stood on a chair, sticking out his little butt to serve Le Tong so food.

"Ji Baby, I can do it myself."

"Sister is injured, Ji Baby needs to take good care of Sister."

Ji Rui couldn’t help but roll his eyes; wasn’t he injured two months ago too? How co he didn’t receive such special treatnt?

"Ji Baby, don’t you have a gathering to attend this afternoon?"

Ji Rui felt he needed to find so ti to have a good talk with Le Tong, but he didn’t have the faintest idea of what to say. He only knew that as long as his precious son was around, he definitely wouldn’t be able to have a decent conversation with Le Tong, let alone chat properly.

Ji Baby didn’t even lift his head, "Not going, Ji Baby wants to stay ho with Sister. I already asked the teacher for a leave of absence this morning!"

That gathering or whatever it was seed to have been arranged last week, but Le Tong’s visit to see Ji Baby was only decided this week.

Just as Ji Rui was about to try convincing his precious son, he heard Le Tong say, "Ji Baby, go attend the gathering, Sister has an appointnt with Sister Yuan’er this afternoon and won’t have ti to be with you."

[Three updates, might not have enough ti for two more updates today, one more update will co later, and leave one update for tomorrow.]
