After coming out of the president’s office, the rather displeased Le Tong went to the pantry to make so tea, then sat at her desk, holding the cup in both hands, lost in thought for a while.
To be fair, when it cos to Baby, Ji Rui has been quite generous and tolerant. Except for that one outburst in the hospital, he hasn’t really made things difficult for her regarding Baby.
Judging from this aspect alone, Ji Rui should be considered a broad-minded person.
But forming a sharp contrast with the matter of Baby is Ji Rui’s interference and desire for control over her private affairs.
No matter how she explained or protested, even to the point of being visibly upset or flipping out, nothing seed to make Ji Rui understand that their relationship wouldn’t change one bit just because they had Baby as their common son.
This indeed made Le Tong quite frustrated. But frustration was one thing; life still had to go on.
For the sake of making a living, during the eight hours of work, she had to face her cold boss, President Ji. For the sake of family, after work, she still had to coexist with the moody Ji Rui.
It was very clear that now, whether in public or private, she couldn’t just drop everything and run away like she did last year.
Thus, she could only take deep breaths over and over to calm her inner unfairness and anger, telling herself to ignore him, to disregard him...

Le Tong was cooking in the kitchen, while the uninvited Ji Rui was in the living room playing with Baby.
The usually silent man, even in front of Baby, didn’t say much either. From the kitchen, Le Tong mostly heard Baby’s laughter and occasional cooing.
Yet this taciturn man always found a way to say things that would depress her. Moreover, after speaking, this man could shalessly act as if nothing had happened when going ho with her!
However, Ji Rui, the dinner moocher, had so awareness, acknowledging when Le Tong had almost finished cooking, he and his son would help carry the dishes out. After dinner, President Ji would automatically and self-consciously gather the dishes and wash them.
When Ji Rui finished washing the dishes and ca out, Le Tong was huddled on the sofa watching TV with Baby.
Seeing Ji Rui co out, Le Tong picked up the remote and turned the TV volu down a little, then slightly pushed Baby away from her embrace and said formally.
"Baby, in a mont, go ho with your daddy."
Baby twisted his body, pounded back into her arms, and held tightly to her clothes.
"No! Baby wants to stay with Mommy!"
Since being discharged, Baby’s dependency on Le Tong grew daily more intense, no matter how soft or hard Le Tong tried, he just wouldn’t go ho with Ji Rui.
"Baby, if you always stay at Mommy’s, your daddy is so busy, always running here isn’t convenient."
Of course, Le Tong didn’t really want to push Baby away, but one can’t be too selfish, Baby isn’t only her son.
"Hmph! Not going, Baby just won’t go back!" Baby rubbed against her a few more tis.
Le Tong could only seek help from Ji Rui with her eyes, hoping he could use fatherly authority to persuade Baby.

"Since Baby doesn’t want to go back, let him stay, after all, now your place is big, and Baby can stay comfortably."
Ji Rui spoke, his gaze sweeping around the house.
Baby imdiately chid in, "Yes, since it’s so big here, Mommy living alone would be scary, Baby will keep Mommy company."
If it weren’t known how much Ji Rui doted on Baby, Le Tong might almost suspect Ji Rui wanted to build a love nest with CoCo, so he eagerly shoved Baby to her.
Before Le Tong, the host, could oppose, the gentle father Ji Rui stretched his long arm to stroke the head nestled in Le Tong’s embrace, softly saying.
"Baby, where do you want to eat tomorrow night?" Clearly, Ji Rui didn’t wish to entangle over whether his son stayed or left.
Baby lifted his head, inexplicably gave Ji Rui a sly smile, "Secret."
"Huh?!" Ji Rui and Le Tong both looked down at Baby, neither understanding what this little guy was up to.
"Baby has a place he wants to go, I’ll tell you tomorrow!"
Ji Rui and Le Tong exchanged glances, both puzzled and questioning.
After Ji Rui left, Le Tong asked Baby several tis more, but the little guy stubbornly refused to reveal anything, only laughingly saying, "Mommy will know tomorrow night!"
Though confused, Le Tong didn’t think much of it, attributing it to Baby’s sudden fancy of wanting to go to so peculiar place for dinner.
The next afternoon, a set of elegant and unique won’s dress was delivered from a certain brand store.
"Baby, what is this?"
"Mommy, this is from Baby to you, tonight Mommy should dress beautifully to accompany Baby out!"
Again, confusion welled in Le Tong’s heart, "Baby, you didn’t happen to set your sights on so little beauty, did you? So you want Mommy to dress beautifully to et your little girlfriend?"
Le Tong bent down, pinched her son’s slightly chubby cheek, and teasingly joked with Baby.
"Mommy, this is a secret!" Ji Baby mysteriously placed a finger on his lips, making a "shh" gesture.
In the evening, unable to resist Baby, Le Tong wore the little dress, put on light makeup, and took Baby by the hand to get into the car. Baby instructed the driver to take them to the Dragon Hotel.
Once more, Le Tong’s confusion rose, and it peaked as Baby led her into a very large private room at Dragon Hotel.
Because, in the small lounge of the private room, nearly ten n were seated!
As soon as the door opened, these n stood up in unison.
Le Tong’s surprised eyes quickly scanned the group of n who seed to range from their twenties to thirties. These n shared two common traits; each was tall and handso. Although their deanors varied, judging from their attire and mannerisms, it was clear each was a successful and wealthy man.
Baby waved at the n, calmly leading Le Tong to the small lounge. Before the confused Le Tong could ask, the poised Baby nodded and smiled at the room, pointing at Le Tong and introducing her in a childlike voice.
"Hello, uncles, this is Baby’s mommy, Le Tong!"
