Ji Rui spent the entire day feeling extrely uneasy.

When he heard his considerate little baby had paved the way for him to get close to her, he was overjoyed. "Bang!" He closed the docunt, stood up rapidly.
"We can go now!" he said, grabbing the coat and bag hanging by the table, kicking the chair aside, and striding over to Le Tong.
Now, it was Le Tong’s turn to react slowly.

Ji Rui didn’t even bother to check the ti, "Let’s go, don’t let Baobao wait!"
Le Tong shrugged. Since her boss said she could leave early, why should a small secretary like her have any complaints?!

For one, she didn’t want him to get the wrong idea. For another, she felt awkward.

The man who followed her out of the office didn’t say yes or no, but when she briefly went back to her desk to tidy up, he stood silently to the side, hand looping his bag and coat.

Le Tong abruptly raised her head, examining him intently before sternly saying, "I don’t like any flowers!"
What a joke!
This ordinary bouquet of red roses already cost her two days’ wages. Rembering the more than eight hundred spent still pains her. If she told him she liked blue enchantresses, she might have to spend a month’s salary on flowers!
Seeing her fierce expression directed at him, Ji Rui found her frankness deeply adorable.

"I bought these flowers myself!"
Le Tong didn’t take the money, instead pointing angrily at the bouquet.
Ji Rui nodded with a smile, "I know!"
As he spoke, he pushed the stack of money closer, "This money is for the als I’ve had at your place recently. We’re not that close, so it makes sense that you can’t be expected to feed every al, right?"
Le Tong realized that Ji Rui was just trying to give back the money she had spent.
But he wasn’t wrong—they indeed weren’t close!

"Fine, this is for services!" Le Tong withdrew her hand and readily took a few more banknotes, then handed the remaining money back once more.
