During this period, because of her rebellious mindset, he slowed his pace, but it didn’t an he intended to back down.
His more direct words completely startled Le Tong. Unsure how to respond, she brought the phone to her face and pressed the end call button.
On the other end, Ji Rui suddenly heard the busy tone, hesitated for a mont, then realized the call had been disconnected.
Ji Rui frowned, stared at the screen in a daze for a while, contemplating whether to call back, but eventually decided not to push her too hard.
He put the phone on the bed, picked up a sweater and put it on with delight. Feeling very satisfied with his outfit in front of the mirror, Ji Rui took his first-ever selfie. After taking the photo, he pulled up Le Tong’s number and typed "Am I handso?" before sending the photo.
Le Tong, still dazing on the couch, heard the notification sound, opened the ssage, and saw the spirited man filling the screen, wearing the sweater she bought him.
"Mommy, what are you looking at?"
The little guy, lost in his pile of models, had sohow run behind her, peering curiously at her phone.
"See for yourself!"
Le Tong shoved the phone into Ji Baby’s hands, got up and stretched, "I’m going to take a shower."
Ji Baby clambered onto the couch, stared at the photo on the screen with a giggle, then dialed Ji Rui’s number.
"Le Tong?" The call was picked up imdiately, and Ji Baby heard his daddy’s eager voice.
"Daddy, it’s ..." Ji Baby said with a smile.
"Ji Baby? Where’s your mommy?"
Ji Baby glanced at the tightly closed bedroom door, "Mommy went to take a shower!"
"Oh..." It was a very obvious tone of disappointnt.
"Mommy looked at your picture before she went to the shower." Ji Baby, quite aware of what affected his daddy’s mood, quickly added.
The voice on the other end suddenly changed, "Did she say anything?"
Ji Baby peeked at the door again, "No, she didn’t say anything. She just handed the phone and went to shower."
Silence ensued, and Ji Baby added, "But, mommy’s face was a bit red..."
"Darling, daddy loves you!" The usually reticent man was surprisingly expressive to the little one.
"Daddy, why are you suddenly so sweet?" Though young, Ji Baby had a sharp eye, sensing sothing off about daddy tonight!
"Didn’t daddy eat Ji Baby’s chocolate?" Ji Rui joked back, a rare occurrence between him and his little treasure.
Ji Baby lay lazily across the couch, "Mommy said chocolate can refresh you, she didn’t say it makes your mouth sweet."
The father-son duo chatted away until Le Tong finished her shower, then Ji Baby bid Ji Rui goodnight and hung up.
"Baby, go take a shower, then sleep well."
Ji Baby clung to Le Tong’s neck, giving her two smooches, "Mommy, won’t you sleep with ?"
"Hm, mommy has to study. Be good, wash up, then go to sleep."
Le Tong kissed Ji Baby a few tis and patted his butt to urge him on.
Once Ji Baby was out of his bath and had said goodnight, Le Tong tidied up the living room, settled down, and studied in earnest.
Yesterday, when she saw Ji Rui bring back that stack of thick books, she was quite daunted.
However, flipping through them, she found many sections that allowed her to skip ahead. She only needed to focus on understanding the key points and difficult parts that Ji Rui had highlighted, which would solve many problems she once found profound.

Over the shirt was the V-neck sweater she had hastily packed this morning. The man, dressed like this, appeared less stiff than usual, exuding skill, ease, and the undeniable charisma of a successful man.
His impeccably handso face, rarely smiling, now had a faint smirk that added to his allure and irresistible charm.
This man was unfairly handso!
Le Tong stared at the photo, slightly dazed, and felt as if his mysterious eyes were gazing at her with deep affection.
Feeling her cheeks heat up, she shook her head to dispel the illusion and instinctively saved the photo to her album.
Setting the phone aside, Le Tong managed to focus on her reading again, but soon, she was alerted by another notification.
Her instinct told her it was President Ji again. Opening it, she confird it.
"Mark the parts you don’t understand, and I’ll explain them step by step when I’m back."
Le Tong pursed her lips; how did he know her so well? Did he have a cara installed at her place?

"Don’t study too late; go to bed by eleven."
Seeing his ssage, Le Tong pressed her lips and typed a quick response, "Goodnight!"
The man, looking at her reply, silently said in his heart, "Baby, goodnight!"
The sent reply simply stated:
