Teacher Fan’s New Year Concert was held at the City Center Theater over three performances. The concert lasted two hours, divided into two parts: the first part was ninety minutes of performances by Teacher Fan and his orchestra, while the second part was thirty minutes of ensemble performances with a few of Teacher Fan’s students.
Old Master Yang heard that Nuonuo would be performing and made a special trip, booking a flight to co and listen to the concert.
Ji Rui’s family bought VIP tickets, sitting in the front and center, enabling them to clearly see the details on stage.
Little Nuonuo wore a white princess dress like her two older sisters, with her shoulder-length curly hair cascading down, tied with a white ribbon into a bow. Being the youngest and shortest, she stood in the center front, while her senior brothers and sisters and Teacher Fan stood behind her.
Though she was small, when she held her violin and bowed to the audience, she appeared particularly spirited and eye-catching.
The people behind and around her whispered that the smallest girl on stage was beautiful, her deanor was poised and graceful, and she wasn’t stage-frightened at all.
Sitting beside Da Bao, Old Master Yang whispered with a smile, "Who would have thought that at such a young age, Nuonuo would bring such honor to our family."
Da Bao himself, in fact, often brought pride to his parents. Throughout his school years, he easily won first place in nearly every academic competition and debate.
Perhaps because of his outstanding performance, his parents and elders had beco accustod to his excellence. Whenever they heard about his achievents, they always had an unsurprised expression.
As for Nuonuo, besides being pretty, well-behaved, and intelligent in kindergarten, she did not have any particularly outstanding qualities.
Therefore, when Nuonuo heard that she could participate in Teacher Fan’s concert, her excitent was beyond words.
As family and elders, they were naturally proud and happy for her too.
Nuonuo played three pieces in the ensemble. Although she was not responsible for the main lody, she played with great dedication and involvent on stage. Despite her young age and small stature compared to the other kids, her calm and confident performance aura did not lose to the other children who were much older than her.
Le Tong and Da Bao watched intently, while Ji Rui, as a parent, set up a video cara in front of him and occasionally zood in to capture beautiful close-ups of his precious daughter’s first concert, recording it completely.
Since the concert, Nuonuo’s enthusiasm for learning the violin had grown stronger. Every day after returning from kindergarten, the first thing she did was pick up her violin and practice in the yard. At eight in the evening, the martial arts instructor routinely ca to give an hour-long martial arts lesson to the three brothers.
In this way, once Nuonuo returned ho from school each day, aside from violin practice and martial arts lessons, she had little free ti to play.
Da Bao felt sorry for his sister and worried about her being overwheld.
"Nuonuo, now that you spend so much ti practicing the violin, why don’t you skip the martial arts class?"
Initially, Da Bao suggested that the siblings learn martial arts because he thought it would not only strengthen their bodies but also teach them self-defense skills. However, with Nuonuo’s current tight schedule leaving no ti for play, it seed too harsh for a child just over four years old.
"No! Nuonuo wants to attend class with Brother!"
Stubborn as she was, Nuonuo shook her head, dismissing Da Bao’s suggestion without a second thought.
With mixed feelings of pity for his sister and reluctance to interfere forcefully with her decision, Da Bao found himself in a constant state of internal conflict, day after day.
A year passed in the blink of an eye; Nuonuo advanced to the senior kindergarten class, and Little Treasure moved up to the junior kindergarten class.
As for Da Bao, he smoothly advanced to the first year of high school with top grades.
Among his original junior high classmates, only about ten remained in the sa class with him, including Yin Zhihao, Ren Weiqi, and Shao Yuxin.
Yin Zhihao still rembered what Da Bao had told him and, during the sumr vacation, courageously confessed his feelings to Shao Yuxin.
Unsurprisingly, he received Shao Yuxin’s straightforward and crisp rejection: "I’m sorry, I don’t like you!"
Yin Zhihao probably anticipated the worst, so although he was very dejected at the ti, he sincerely expressed that he didn’t mind being a backup option.
"Yuxin, it’s okay if you don’t like now, I can wait!"
"Sorry, I already like soone else!"
After saying that, Shao Yuxin got up, grabbed her purse, and left, leaving a heartbroken Yin Zhihao to channel his sorrow into appetite, polishing off two al sets by himself!
"Da Bao, do you think she really likes soone else, or was she just brushing off? If she does like soone, who is it?"
Yin Zhihao asked this question to Da Bao throughout the sumr vacation. Da Bao’s answer was always the sa, "How would I know? I’m not familiar with her!"
Co the start of the new school term, Yin Zhihao was still persistently trying to get an answer from his friend. In his eyes, Ji Dabao was not only a top student but also adept at reading people’s minds.
However, even if Ji Dabao were truly able to discern Shao Yuxin’s inner thoughts, he would never tell his friend the truth: "She really likes soone, and that soone is !"
Such words, Ji Dabao would never say. Risking the loss of a good friend over a girl he didn’t care about—he would never do sothing so foolish.
Yin Zhihao asked this while sitting beside Da Bao during a break in gym class, with Ren Weiqi also seated nearby.
"Zhihao, I think Shao Yuxin wasn’t just brushing you off, she probably does have feelings for soone, and that soone is likely Da Bao!"
Ren Weiqi, speaking thoughtlessly, unmasked the truth without rcy.
Yin Zhihao suddenly turned to stare at Da Bao, who, having grown another year older, had shot up in height significantly and was now only half a head shorter than Yin Zhihao.
But even though he was a bit shorter, his aura and intellect left Yin Zhihao far behind.
"Why are you staring at ?"
Da Bao’s nonchalant deanor indicated he was unfazed. In fact, he even spun the basketball on his fingertip, tilting his finger to send the ball whirling.
"Does she really like you?" Yin Zhihao seed never to have considered this possibility.
Da Bao shrugged and laughed, "You’d have to ask her, how would I know?"
Yin Zhihao’s intense gaze didn’t waver, "Do you like her?"
In Yin Zhihao’s view, if another boy liked Shao Yuxin, he might have a chance. But if it was Da Bao, he definitely stood no chance at all.
"No, I don’t like her!" Da Bao answered without a hint of hesitation.
"Really? She’s so pretty and does so well in her studies!" In Yin Zhihao’s eyes, even though Shao Yuxin rejected him, she remained a flawless girl.
"Not my type!" Da Bao said, standing up and quickly dribbling the ball to the basketball hoop. He raised his hand, and the ball swished cleanly through the net.
