Knowing Da Bao secretly bought candies for the two little ones on Friday when passing by the candy store at the corner after school, Le Tong still especially allowed Nuonuo and Little Treasure to choose two kinds of candies each as a reward.
Nuonuo and Little Treasure were delighted, holding hands as they entered the store, with Le Tong following behind, watching as her son and daughter hesitated over the dazzling variety of choices. Le Tong didn’t intervene and just stood quietly.
The two little ones argued for a while before smartly reaching an agreent and picked four kinds of candies they both liked.

Le Tong readily took the candy and placed it on the checkout counter, "Miss, please check out!"
The cashier looked up and scrutinized Le Tong for a few monts, "Aunt Le?"
Le Tong carefully observed the girl in front of her, feeling a bit familiar, and after searching her mory, finally rembered who it was.
"Oh, hello, you’re Ji Yu’s classmate Yu Xin."
Nuonuo, standing behind, heard the two talking and tilted her head to take a good look at Shao Yuxin.
"Is this Ji Yu’s little sister? Grown so big? So pretty!"
Shao Yuxin complinted Nuonuo while her hands naturally picked up the candy to scan, knowing Da Bao’s previous dismissive behavior, she didn’t dare act overly familiar, especially since she wasn’t close with Le Tong, having only been to their ho two or three tis, and she wasn’t part of the small group Da Bao was in.
"Thank you, sister!"
Nuonuo sweetly thanked her but couldn’t bring herself to like this girl who, for the first ti, triggered a crisis of possibly stealing her brother.
Of course, she didn’t rember Shao Yuxin or the events at that ti since she was quite young then.
"Where’s your brother?" Shao Yuxin casually inquired.
"At work." Nuonuo answered simply.
While Nuonuo might not rember the past, Le Tong rembered it clearly, aware that this girl had pestered her son for years.
So, after paying, she used the excuse of having lots of howork to prompt her children to hurry ho.
Back at ho, after holding it in for the entire way, Nuonuo finally couldn’t help but ask Le Tong, "Mommy, was that sister a good friend of my brother? Why haven’t I seen her before?"
Nuonuo didn’t quite understand why a girl she didn’t know made her feel uncomfortable just by recalling her face.
Perhaps this is what they call a woman’s intuition, a subconscious resistance and aversion to a threatening opponent.
"Not really, if she were a good friend, wouldn’t your brother bring her ho to play?"
Hearing her mommy’s response, Nuonuo’s uneasy heart finally settled down.

Two days later, while staying overnight at Huagang, Da Bao ca out of the shower near midnight with a slightly hungry stomach, opened the fridge to look for sothing to eat, only to find it empty.
Da Bao rested his hands on the fridge door and sighed helplessly. If he were at ho, the fridge would surely be packed with all sorts of delicious foods by mommy. Truly, there’s no place like ho!
After a sigh, Da Bao resignedly closed the fridge, grabbed a jacket, and prepared to head out to find sothing to eat, just as the doorbell rang.
Looking through the peephole, Da Bao saw it was Yin Zhihao.
"What are you doing coming here so late?" With years of being best friends, they didn’t mince words.
"Da Bao, are you hungry? Brother is treating you to a late-night snack!"
He spoke, raising two big bags of stuff.
Da Bao’s nose imdiately caught the sll of oyster congee.
Indeed, true best friends!
"For this pot of oyster congee, I forgive you for the cri of disturbing at midnight!"
Famished, Da Bao served himself a full bowl of congee and started eating.
Besides the oyster congee, Yin Zhihao brought several other delicious items, all of them being Da Bao’s favorites, seafood and ats.
The two of them launched an assault, finishing all the goodies on the table. Da Bao, contentedly leaned back on the sofa, shot a sideways glance at Yin Zhihao.

You have to admit, Ji Dabao knows Yin Zhihao very well.
Yin Zhihao has two major hobbies.
One is an extre love for cats.
The second is being a sleepyhead.
When the small group of friends hang out, everyone knows that Yin Zhihao starts yawning nonstop after ten o’clock, no matter how big the issue, he has to sleep.
Lately, he’s been working overti with people from the design departnt, also spending the night at work like Da Bao, but he never ca to find Da Bao for chatting or late-night snacks because the first thing he did after work was fall asleep.
Today, he unexpectedly brought a bunch of favorite foods over, all Da Bao’s heart’s delight.
There’s a saying that unsolicited kindness cos with ulterior motives or deceit; how could a smart person like Da Bao not understand this principle?

Yin Zhihao scratched his head, looking a bit embarrassed, seemingly not knowing how to start.
"Spit it out, what makes you so troubled?"
Da Bao regards Yin Zhihao and Ren Weiqi as brothers because these two have never really asked him for anything over the years, even when they wanted to intern at Ji Family, they didn’t ntion it until Da Bao brought it up.
As friends, mutual help should be natural. Within his capabilities, Da Bao is willing to offer help to his best buddies.
But that doesn’t an the other party has the right to expect sothing from him. If Yin Zhihao or Ren Weiqi believes that because they are friends, Da Bao has the obligation to assist them, then the friendship becos impure.
