"A few days won’t make a difference!" Da Bao’s expression turned a bit peculiar as he pried Yin Zhihao’s hand away and gulped down alcohol.
Ren Weiqi, who was holding a remote and picking songs, heard their dispute, turned around, and was startled by Da Bao’s bold drinking style, quickly rushing over to pry his hand, exclaiming, "What the hell! Da Bao, you’ve changed!"
It was clear that just like Yin Zhihao, he had been brainwashed by Da Bao’s past comnts, believing that for Da Bao, drinking was a forbidden act. Instinctively, he lunged over and snatched the half-full can of beer from Da Bao’s hand.
Yin Zhihao and Ren Weiqi exchanged glances, only then realizing that today Da Bao seed a bit unusual.
Usually, during als with friends, though not the most talkative, he was quite engaging. When discussing topics he was interested in, no one could out-talk him.
But today, from the mont they stepped out until now, he had been uncharacteristically silent.
"Da Bao, did sothing happen at the company?"
In all the years of knowing Da Bao, they had never seen him behave so atypically.
Da Bao reached out, trying to reclaim the beer, "No, nothing’s wrong. The company is doing great, what could possibly be wrong?"
Both of them thought about it, and indeed, the ga’s beta phase had received an enthusiastic response, and industry insiders were optimistic about this new ga Huagang.
If it’s not the company, then what could be bothering Da Bao?
They leaned in closer to scrutinize Da Bao’s face, but that annoyingly handso face of his remained calm, revealing no hints whatsoever.
To Yin Zhihao and Ren Weiqi, Da Bao appeared to live quite a carefree life.
With outstanding personal qualities that seed to defy explanation, a well-off family, harmonious family relations, and a successful career, the words "unsatisfactory" never seed to be associated with Da Bao.
Yet now, all his words and actions suggested he was extrely "unsatisfied"!
After a few attempts to take back the beer from Ren Weiqi failed, Da Bao bent over intending to grab another can.
Yin Zhihao dragged the remaining beers to his side, half-guarding them with his body.
"Give a reasonable explanation, and I’ll let you drink!"
Da Bao gave him a look as if he were an idiot, raised his hand, and pressed the service bell. The attendant quickly knocked and entered, "Sir, what do you need?"
"Bring another dozen beers!"
Yin Zhihao was intimidated by him, took a can, stuffed it into his hand, and gestured for the attendant to leave, "Sorry, get the beers later."
When Da Bao took the beer and pulled the tab, Yin Zhihao held the can’s mouth again.
"Da Bao, you can drink, but at least tell us why you want to drink?"
The role of a friend is to have soone to pour your heart out to when you are feeling down!
Yet over all these years, Da Bao had been the trash bin for him and Ren Weiqi, and logically speaking, they, as his elder brothers, appeared more like little brothers constantly being cared for by the mature and steady Da Bao.
Now that Da Bao was unhappy, it was their turn, as elder brothers, to put in the effort and fulfill their duty.
However, he wracked his brain and couldn’t figure out what kind of trouble could push soone as intelligent and emotionally adept as Da Bao into this state.
Yin Zhihao didn’t know that regardless of high IQ or EQ, there was no function to control emotions and feelings.
"Damn! If I want to drink, I’ll drink, why so much nonsense!" Da Bao seed a bit annoyed too, swatting away Zhihao’s hand, tilting his head back, and swallowing down a big half-can of beer in one rapid gulp.
Yin Zhihao and Ren Weiqi exchanged looks, dumbfounded, staring at each other for quite a while, until Da Bao grabbed the empty can, and with a "crack," crushed it into a ball.
The bright blue arc passed in front of their eyes, hitting the trash can in the corner with a clang, the deford can was beautifully tossed in by Da Bao.
Only then did the two believe that Da Bao was truly in a bad mood!
Having had experiences drowning sorrows with alcohol, the two elder brothers dared not stop Da Bao from silently cracking open five or six cans and downing them in one go, helpless yet no longer daring to interfere.
To be honest, this was Da Bao’s first ti drinking, even if it was just beer.
However, so people can get drunk just from a couple of beers, but clearly, Da Bao bore the true legacy from his parents, drinking seven or eight cans in one breath, other than a slightly bloated stomach, felt as if he had just drunk water, with not a hint of dizziness or unease.
Yet, while he didn’t feel uncomfortable drinking, the two watching him silently down them felt incredibly uneasy.
Seeing him reach out for another can, Yin Zhihao finally couldn’t hold back any longer.
"Ji Yu, why are you doing this to yourself? Is there nothing you can’t talk about? What do you take us for? Aren’t we your brothers? If we are, then speak up if sothing’s wrong, let’s drink and find a way to solve it together!"
At last, Da Bao paused, fixedly looking at Yin Zhihao, "Solve it together? You can’t even get over Shao Yuxin after all these years, how are you going to solve it?"
His tone was extrely flat, yet it carried an overbearing force.
Bringing up Shao Yuxin, Yin Zhihao couldn’t help but feel a bit discouraged. It wasn’t that he hadn’t moved on, but he felt downright pathetic over the whole Shao Yu matter.
"So, it’s about a relationship?" Yin Zhihao stared incredulously at Da Bao.
If it was indeed about a relationship, then Da Bao’s words were fair, he indeed had little qualification to advise.
Still, was there really such an impressive girl out there that could humble soone as exceptional as Da Bao to such a degree?
Da Bao picked up the beer without saying a word, this ti taking just a small sip.
He initially thought that one binge would make him feel better, but it seed the beer was just as effective as water—it had no effect at all. The promise of a drunken resolution to his troubles was hollow!
Yin Zhihao and Ren Weiqi recovered from their shock, and finally, Yin Zhihao found his voice.
"Da Bao, I really don’t have much authority to point fingers about feelings, but doesn’t Wei Qi have so qualifications?"
Ren Weiqi and Nie Wei, from high school to now, had been together for about seven or eight years. The two of them were as inseparable as 502 glue, and recently, their parents had already started encouraging them to get married.
Being nad, Ren Weiqi quickly patted his chest and said, "Exactly, yeah, talk to your brother about relationship stuff! Your brother can definitely help you!"
Da Bao seed as if he didn’t even hear Ren Weiqi’s volunteering, casually shaking his can, listening to the beer "pop" against the sides, montarily lost in thought.
"Da Bao, don’t you trust ?" Ren Weiqi got a bit anxious.
